I had booked a table and we were able to go straight in. The waiter apologised for the noise which was particularly loud due to a Christmas Party group nearby. It did make our conversation a bit difficult. Otherwise the atmosphere was pleasant. We all enjoyed our meal and Cote restaurants are good value. The service was good except that we had to finish our starters in a hurry when we were told that our main course was ready to be served, which was annoying.

The branch was VERY busy but reception coped well and efficiently. Our waitress was not exactly fluent in English which led to little misunderstandings but, given the rate of work and stress all around, she managed. The food was not quite up to Cote standards (e.g. the potatoes with the duck breast were barely cooked.) But, as ever, because of the ambience and general welcome this is probably my favourite Cote.

Fantastic food and location. Only problem was that the server forgot the toast, and then forgot to go get the toast. So I was waiting for ~10 mins before I had to give up and ask someone else to go get my toast. Seems like a small thing, but my food had gone cold before I got to eat it and the rest of the table had almost finished.

Upon entering Cote - we were not acknowledged straightaway. It was quite busy but a simple hello will be with you in a moment would have been sufficient. We had various waiters and waitresses during the meal and were attentive. We had a slight issue with one of our desserts as we specifically asked to have no liquor in one of the Buche de Noel as someone is pregnant. The waiter said he will check if this was possible - we were not notified so when desserts were being bought over we were told the liquor was already in the dessert and cannot be removed. The creme brûlée I had felt like it had separated and was quite disappointing.

Good food but shoddy service. It was busy but I know, having eaten a lot in another cote, what the service should be like, busy or not. And they had a LOT of waiters on shift.

For the second time in 6 weeks, at two different branches, the service was poor and slow. On each occasion the Supervisor/Manager has dealt with this giving discretionary reductions on the bill. However, I would prefer a better standard of service eg. for the olives to arrive Before the starter! (Twice) for the main course to arrive in a timely manner. Not an hour after arrival! We arrived at 5.45pm, prior to attending a concert at the Cadogan Hall - planning to leave at 7.15pm. We just made it, with a rushed dessert and tepid coffee. I trust my early luncheon at Hays Galleria, on 20 December, will break this cycle. Disappointed - and not impressed at being addressed by my Christian name. It was also incredibly noisy and we had to shout at each other. Such a shame.

Arrived early for the table we booked but getting seated was on issue. All of the staff were friendly and attentive even really busy. The food was superb and served in evenly spaced intervals so you didn't feel rushed.

Very good as usual. Excellent value for money, once we asked for the normal pre-theatre menu, which wasn't presented to us when we arrived. Egg benedict very good. Service quick.

Food quality is above average. Good wine list, but I must point out the table services were not good enough. The waiters or waitress seems not knowing what to do and not organize most of the time. The staff members need to pay more attention to customer needs and what is happening on the dining desk.I often need to call for attention and ask for table service. Overall staff member were friendly and helpful enough, but a little smile can go a little further. After all 12.5% service tax were charge on my bill and the staff could be more professional with their daily task.I come here all the time when I travel to London and I love the food here.I hope the restaurant will continue to strive and hope the service will improve in the future. All the best and applause to the Kitchen staff members for all those lovely food.

This was our 2nd visit. The first time we had a window seat, good food and attentive waiter who was on the ball. We enjoyed that evening which was one of the reasons we returned. Both visits were at about the same time on a early Friday evening. This time however we were seated in the large room at the back which we found to be far too noisy. So noisy that we are surprised that the staff don't have to wear ear defenders for their health and safety. At times the restaurant also pushed out piped muzak which only increased the din and you certainly couldn't hear what was being played, not that we wanted to. The food this time was so so. Starters were quite good my squid was OK and my wife's salad good. For mains my BBQd chicken was a good sized portion but dry, I was glad I ordered the additional sauce to go with it. My wife said her haddock was not as moist and tasty as it was last time. The peas were floating in quite a bit of water. Also the staff in this area not quite as on the ball, though that being said the food came quickly and the only real delay we had was in getting the bill, a bit annoying when we need to leave for a concert. It always annoys me in restaurants that staff go by a table without looking at it or checking if anyone is trying to catch their eye. Our recommendation is if you go there make sure you are seated in the front part of the restaurant, less noise and a fun waiter.

This was a fast food experience rather than a nice sit down meal! The starter was the best course. The Beef Bourguignon was very dry as the cheesboard. Crepes very bland.

Very busy, loud and we sat right in the middle of the restaurant. Chairs hit by passers by. Lamb was horrible very fatty and not worth £15. Service was good and rest of the food was nice. Won't be going again.

We were around 30 minutes earlier than booked and seeing the restaurant was not very full asked if they could accommodate us. A very rude member of staff informed us quite curtly that if we were booked in now we would have to leave the restaurant by 18.00 hours. We could not stay beyond then. He suggested we should go away and come back at 17.15. So we did and found somewhere else to eat. We are sure that because of this experience we will not either book a table again and will certainly not recommend your restaurant chain to anybody else. Ray Howes

Probably our worst Cote experience. In contrast to all the other restaurants we have visited in this chain, there were some staff here who were borderline rude. It was also difficult to get service - there seemed to be a lot of staff just standing around, doing very little and studiously avoiding eye contact. The steaks were very undercooked and chewy.

i had a saga voucher which you refused to honour as i had not booked a table.the voucher did not specify I had to book ahead. I had to book on my phone and the voucher was then honoured. food was nice beef bourguignon but the next day I had pretty bad stomach upset. Also our main was brought and they had forgotten our bread starters . the tables are too close together and it is too noisy (other people have mentioned this to me who have been there)

Despite being a Friday evening and us being very early for our booking, the staff found a nice table for us. The service was very prompt and friendly. I thought the menu selection was very good and the quality of the food was great (we both had three courses from the set menu selection). Overall, very good value and would return to the chain and would certainly recommend to others.
