Lovely meal-you do it so well even if we did have to ask to be served and to ask for cutlery- difficult when you’re so busy. Lovely staff

The food was consistently good, but the frantic atmosphere and noise levels spoil the evening. It was hard to attract the attention of the waiting staff as they were so busy. Not their fault, but not my favourite Cote.

The duck and creme caramel were as delicious as ever. I had booked for the complimentary cocktail- Lillet Rose. I love Lillet but rarely find it. Unfortunately the cocktail was too sweet - too much raspberry syrup. I was also annoyed to be charged for it - they took it off my bill and apologised when I pointed it out. However, this seems to be a Cote wise fault as it has happened before in other branches. They know you have booked this when you arrive but it doesn’t go through to the waiter when the bill is printed out

We are very regular customers of Cote as we always know our experience will be a good one. The menu is always interesting, consisting of something for everyone. The food is always delicious at reasonable prices. The service is always consistent provided by charming and excellent staff staff. We are always welcomed with a greeting which is a good demonstration of recognition.

I love this place and come here from time to time, but this was the first time when I was disappointed ... tuna tartar, steak and goat cheese salad were very good, but mushroom risotto didn’t meet my expectation. First, no traces of truffle oil (no doubt, that chef has added it, I couldn’t find neither smell, nor taste. Second, rice was not overcooked...

The service was fine, the calamari generous and delicious but as for the nicoise, the tuna was cut very thin and therefore overcooked (almost a burnt flavour), the boiled egg was freezing cold and I had one half potato that was undercooked. The waiter did offer to pass my comments on to the kitchen.

Excellent customer service, as usual. Superb choice, with the service tailored to my requirements as I needed to leave by 1745. Can’t praise the staff highly enough. Please keep up the excellent work - and please bring the omelette back on to your menu!

We opted for the two-course pre-theatre menu and couldn't fault it. The food was very tasty, the service friendly and efficient, the setting ambient and the price very reasonable. The grilled sardines as a starter were on the small side, but a good dish nevertheless. The baby spinach salad and steak frites were just right and excellent value. The puddings on the next table looked delightful. This is a great option for an informal bite to eat or theatre dining, in a great area with very decent food. We will definitely return.

Underwhelmed. Not made aware that (cheaper) pre-theatre menus were available until after we’d eaten starters and mains - they were only presented to us to choose dessert from. Would definitely have chosen from them had we known. My seafood linguine was insipid and lacking flavour. Half the mussels hadn’t opened and couldn’t be eaten. Starters and other mains were okay but nothing special. We used to love Cote and could always rely on a quality and tasty meal but we won’t be returning any time soon.

Actually the. Duck Confit was disappointing today when normally it’s one of my favourites at Cotes. It was a little over-cooked & I didn’t like the cabbage & lardons served with it. The jus was also disappointing.

The service was very slow as it was around 7pm with the theatre crowd rushing to get away. We were not in a rush and were understanding, but it is still not nice to be "ignored" and left at the table, and have to keep trying to attract attention of the staff. The Prestige Set Menu is available Monday to Thursday from 12 till close, in which case it should be automatically given to diners. This is not the case and you have to ask for it. The waitress told us that the menu (referring to the theatre menu) was not available. She did not even know that there was something called the Prestige Set Menu, and we had to tell her about it. Bread and butter should be automatically provided as soon as one is brought to the table. We do not have to ask 2x and have an interminable wait for something so basic. The food was good and we enjoyed our meal but the enjoyment of an evening dining out is marred by these points.
