Lovely service. Good food The only downside was the bottle bank in the middle of the restaurant. Every time the staff dropped an empty bottle in there was a resounding crash as you would expect. It just seemed very odd to place this in the midst of the diners.

Wonderful meal at cotes brasserie tonight. Usual high standard. Good to be back.

Always enjoy visiting Côte the food always of the same high quality along with the service.

My wife and I have always liked Cote, and it is the only chain restaurant we have been to where it is always excellent which ever one you go to and we have been to numerous ones all over the country, and the service and food is always excellent. Going there with the current covid situation was fine to, all the staff were wearing masks and you got the feeling that things were being done properly, Cote is normally a very clean restaurant anyway which helps, we took a couple of friends with us who have not been before and they to were impressed and will come again, we also look forward to our next visit. well done top marks !!

Se always have a lovely experience at Cote Brasserie so we were excited at the ease of lockdown and the opportunity to visit our favourite eatery again. Service (as usual) was impeccable, our waiter suggested a wine to compliment our lobster which was perfect. Atmosphere and food was fantastic. Will return very soon!

I really enjoyed my visit to Cote Brasserie in Shrewsbury which is a return visit albeit this time with my husband AND with my 12 year old son. Although it seemed that the one thing my son may have enjoyed was off the menu last night, we encouraged him to choose an alternative that he might like which he did. I am pleased to say that he not only enjoyed all of his choices, as did we, but he mentioned how good the food tasted which surprised him ! So this is to express my thanks to the chefs who prepared our food last night and your staff who made the experience a very positive and enjoyable one for all of us, I am sure we will be back again soon, best wishes

Unfortunately large amounts of the menu was unavailable as they had run out, so although we didn’t have our first choice of food, the food was very good and in the end it wasn’t a problem

Our previous experience was far more superior... not as I would expected. 20 minutes until drinks order was taken - kept trying to get servers attention when stood chatting. Was able to get the attention of. Female manager is a beautiful dress. Starters took 20 minutes, the main meal took 40 minutes. The food was nice, the fish pie wasn’t seasoned but was lovely after doing that ourselves. Cheese burger came without cheese - was then brought to us after asking for it. Steaks were well cooked, fries nice and crisp. Nice selection selection of wine.

No cider available Monday evening for gf diners. Very disappointing. Service not up to pre lockdown standard but I guess that’s to be expected. Pork rillettes and steak were excellent. My friends also enjoyed their meals.

Very impressed, the staff were excellent, as before lock-down. The service and quality of the food was also as before lock-down, so we were all very pleased with our meal at Cote last night.

Great staff, lovely food. Although we had to wait a little while for the starters the restaurant was really busy and the staff constantly apologised, so we did not mind. We are not huge fans of the 12.5% inclusive service charge but accept this is the policy of the restaurant.

Staff were very good , overall experience good but a little disappointed that vegetarian menu withdrawn at moment as vegetarian options are somewhat limited with majority of the options featuring goats cheese

Had a lovely meal as usual at Cote Shrewsbury. Very well set out socially distant tables, staff all wearing visors, felt very safe. We were delighted when You reopened, we’d been waiting!

Fantastic meal and exemplary service. The food was outstanding and the staff were so attentive despite the fact that the restaurant was extremely busy.

Now that the lockdown has been lifted we were pleased to be able to recommence our regular Friday lunch booking. Everything tip top as usual.

Superb, so good to be back. We felt safe and happy in our spot . Couldn’t stop grinning for the sheer joy of being back. Food was excellent, even on the limited menu we were happy. Can’t fault you. Keep it up, we have missed you so much x

The food, the wine, and the service that we had at Cote brasserie in Shrewsbury was most definitely five star, however we were virtually hounded off our table by an arrogant man who complained about the fact that our three-year-old grandson was being noisy! With hindsight I should have escalated this to management, but at the time bearing in mind that I was out with my familyI elected not to do so. May I suggest to management that they consider the seating location of couples against those sitting with Family‘s particularly those with smaller children. Cote clearly welcomes younger diners as they provide colouring books and stickers to keep them occupied during dining. The incident was mentioned to management when we settled the bill and they were very apologetic, but unfortunately the damage had been done both my wife and daughter were reduced to tears by the whole experience.

This is not the review I imagined writing. After waiting so long, we booked a table immediately we saw the reopening date and were so looking forward to eating our first meal out since March. Unfortunately, far from being relaxing, it was uncomfortable and stressful. We were asked if we wanted to eat outside or inside. We preferred outside but there were heavy thunderstorms in the area, no free tables under cover, and we knew that if it rained we would not be able to relocate indoors. So we chose to eat in. We were shown to what I assume was the only free table (the restaurant was full). After settling down with drinks, we quickly realised that we were seated at a T junction, albeit with a dividing screen. Turn left to the kitchen, turn right to the toilets. I was seated on the banquette so it was a bit distracting for me, but my husband was on a chair opposite, with his back to the room. All through the meal staff were rushing to and fro with food and empty dishes and customers were going to and from the toilets. OK, my husband had his back to them but they were all within about 6" of his chair. It was a very busy service and the movement was almost constant. The whole meal was very stressful, particularly as we are both over 70's. We didn't feel at all safe. The staff were excellent, the food was up to the usual standard, but it was not a pleasant experience overall. We would go again but will not book - we would want to be sure the restaurant was much emptier and we could have a good choice of tables. In the meantime, we will continue to enjoy Cote at Home.

How wonderful that I was able to go back to my favourite restaurant ! Shrewsbury was buzzing, just like it used to. We were lucky that the weather was dry and we could sit outside. I felt totally safe. We did have to wait a longer than usual between starter and main, but I didn’t mind I was pleased they were so busy and the waiter apologised.

We had a lovely lunch sitting outside. Waiters were great and social distancing clear. Definitely recommend especially the frozen berries with third chocolate sauce.

We all had a wonderful evening. The food was beautiful (as always). All the staff were fantastic and attentive. It was so lovely to be back at Shrewsbury Cote. We sat in the square and it felt very relaxed and continental . We have missed you and so pleased to be back after Lockdown. We will be back in a couple of weeks with friends.

Staff were excellent as always. Ambiance is very good. Food is good value but could be a bit better - slightly better salad slightly more crab on the starter; chicken was a little dry. Shrewsbury has an excellent bakery (Bread and Loaf) - why not use it for better quality bread.

Food and service was excellent. Sat outside felt very safe lots of sanitisers in restaurant when going inside.

We had a bit of a wait outside which was fine as we were early and the lady greeting us explained about the necessary Covid measures that were required to be implemented in order to get our table ready. Tables well spaced. Staff very friendly and polite. We ordered drinks, olives and bread. The drinks came promptly but we had to remind the staff regarding the olives and bread and the price of these was taken off the bill. The food was a bit of a wait but under current circumstances perhaps inevitable. My new potatoes were hard and cold. I chose not to have them replaced and again these were removed from the bill. My chicken and walnut salad was fine but my partner was underwhelmed by his fish parmentier. Overall a reasonable experience, the highlight being the very pleasant staff.

Our first outing since march 13th had to be at cote coinciding with its reopening. As always the welcome, foods and drinks were fabulous and we met Calum for the first time. He was a most considerate server. On one of the hottest days ever the air cionditioning created a cool and tranquil ambience for our enjoyment. All this plus the governments eat out initiative made our first excursion out from lockdown everything we fad wished. Thank you all at Cote.
