Very pleasant staff we could choose our table. The food was good and we were not rushed. This was our first time at this chain of restaurants and will visit again.

Always very friendly and helpful staff,and food good. Very comfortable and clean restaurant. Be aware that they automatically add 12.5% staff gratuities onto your bill which is a bit steep, I prefer to give what I think is appropriate.

Met with friends for dinner last night. From the moment we arrived, the staff were excellent. Superb food and service. Will certainly eat there again. Would have no hesitation in recommending Cote to friends.

Staff added an extra person to our party without difficulty. We had a good table in the window. Service was once again slow between courses.

The staff were friendly and efficient and the food was well cooked and presented, if a little boring - lots of French classics without a modern twist. Generally typical middle of the road fayre from a national restaurant chain that knows its target market: unsophisticated young diners enjoying a Saturday night meal. The biggest problem for me was the size of the tables - they're tiny! We had a table for two and had difficulty finding space for four glasses, water bottle, wine bottle, two mains, a couple of sides and a mustard pot. We felt very cramped, and for that reason will probably not eat in Cote again.

Very good.Just tarnished by a high volume egotist on next table . The manageress did move us for our dessert though ,so good marks for that.

Ate on a busy Saturday evening - first time visit. Restaurant was full but service was excellent. The waiter was courteous and well trained and all the staff were cheerful and polite. The food was delicious. Shall be eating there again.

Place and food from the Early bird menu was amazing although felt a little forgotten about outside and the presentation on the plates could have been a little better. Would return again

Great service, nice surroundings and acceptable food quality which would be improved by reducing the time plates are kept warm prior to being served. We shall book again

Our food was extremely tasty but unfortunately it came in very small portions. The drinks were also very expensive for their volume. We enjoyed our meal and the ambience but won't be rushing back.

A pleasant lunch marred by 40 minutes wait between starters and mains, particularly difficult as some of the party were not taking th started er.

Great service, friendly staff and really good set menu - perhaps the portions are a bit on the small side (if you're a guts like me)

A very enjoyable first visit ,the welcome at the door was friendly ,lady asked which of two tables we would prefer,comfy seating lighting low but just right with table lamp. Early evening 2 course menu good choice and delicious flavoursome food.

Good food but sadly shortly after the opening the lack of staff has been causing long delays in serving and forgotten items. Such a pity.

A pleasant evening in lovely surroundings. Two of us were not happy with the risotto. It was much too wet and had no flavour. The staff and service were excellent.

went in with a open mind and came out with no doubt that I will return, every thing from the service(a young man was shadowing and being trained by a more experienced staff member) to the portion sizes to the execution of the cooking, a nice touch was that we decided to have a second bottle of wine near the end of our meal and they were very happy for us to pay the bill then sit outside with our wine and finish the bottle which gave us time to have a important conversation in relative privacy.

If you are looking for a tasty reasonably priced meal in the best location in Shrewsbury, then this is it! We can't wait to go again!

Good food let down by poor service - failed to put through one course at the time of the order and when it came to the second course having to share a menu and search for a waiter to take take the order. Too much competition to let this be a regular occurence.

We were made to feel very welcome. I brought our booking forward by half an hour and this was no problem. The service was friendly but not overdone. We all thoroughly enjoyed the food. The crime caramel was the best we had ever tasted. A lovely start to our evening.

The grilled chicken salad was excellent and well presented. The staff were all very friendly and efficient. The restaurant space is well designed and comfortable. Will go back

It was our wedding anniversary, we had an absolutely lovely meal with our 2 boys, we sat outside, it was like being on holiday ! We will most definately be going again.

This is the second time we've eaten at the Cote since it opened, and it's still excellent. Very good food, good selection of wines, and attentive, friendly, prompt service.

Lovely food, terrine starter was delicious. Nice atmosphere and attentive staff, portion sizes were good but sides are quite expensive and bread on arrival should be complementary, would definitely return.

Attentive staff, delicious food and a lovely bottle of wine. The creme caramel was the best I've had! We will definitely be back again soon.

We enjoyed our evening at cote brasserie, the food was good, the only small critism was that it was very busy and the acoustics were not great in the restaurant and we struggled to hear what the others on our table were saying.

Ten out of ten again for Cote. We really enjoyed our food and my step mum especially liked the belly pork. Great atmosphere and service!

Served by a lovely young lady and the food was superb. Will definitely return and highly recommend to my friends and family. I've been to several Cote restaurants and have all been excellent.

Great food and service!! Poached eggs cooked perfectly and the coffee was really good! My friends scrambled egg was also cooked to perfection! Very enjoyable, will be going again to sample the crepes

Very good value. Shrewsbury restaurants need to look out. The competition is here! No other comment required so just fill the gap with rubbish till

We enjoyed our meal very much. The waiting time was minimal. The waitress was very smiley and pleasant and attentive. We will definitely be back

The food was fine , as was the atmosphere, but our server was brusque. She insisted we ordered our sweet at the same time as our main meal, the coffee menu was bought before we had been served our sweets and then whisked away again rather ill tempered when we said we weren't sure. The bill came to just over £42 including the 12.5% sevice charge which was more than the service deserved so we put £45 in notes on the tray and we were asked if we wanted change!! Yes we did!!

Lovely warm welcome, well trained front of house, tasteful interior. Seating is very comfortable. Varied menu. Good quality food. Slightly pricey but worth the overall experience.

This restaurant is an asset to the town centre. Shrewsbury has needed a French input. My only complaint is that they had run out of Ricard and Pernod when I was last there!

Service excellent and friendly. Food good, well presented. Two of us had fish parmentier which had good mixture of ingredients-plenty of prawns and nicely grilled topping.

We enjoyed Lovely food and great service from our waiter. The interior of the restaurant is also very nice and would look forward to going again.

We had a great time! The maitre-d was hilarious and the waitress got me a birthday thing! She was really lovely and the food was lovely!!!!!!!
