We always enjoy our visits to Côte in Shrewsbury and our visit meeting family there on Tuesday for lunch was first class. Our guests had never visited any Côte Brasseries before but were very impressed so they will be adding the group to their favourite restaurants' list.

Had a lovely night food was excellent as ever Still don’t like the gratuities added on at the end this is old hat tipping should be at customers discretion not embarrassing people into paying a gratuity.

The meal was excellent, served in a warm, friendly and helpful way by CAROLINE, who was exceptionally good. I have marked you down slightly for the noise level, but wooden floors always tend to amplify sound. Thank you for a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Always love it here. Great food, great service and great value. Would highly recommend. Had the Prestige menu which is good for an early evening meal. Had the house red - very palatable.

Beautiful food, friendly staff, lively atmosphere and prompt service. Definitely need to book as it is quite popular, overall a great experience... we will return !

Excellent reception, friendly knowledgeable staff. Good food. We booked in advance, as this was a birthday treat, and it was a good move as the restaurant was very busy. A nice touch to receive a birthday card at the end!

Lovely food with a very varied menu. Service was also very good. Staff were smiley, friendly and very helpful. Will definitely be returning again- a firm favourite!

Food was fantastic. Thoroughly enjoyed the mussels and the steak was high quality. Pork was very soft and delicious however it was way too salty. For a French restaurant, serving wine, the wine glasses should be matched according with the corresponding wine. Atmosphere was amazing, bathrooms were clean, and the service was excellent. However, I would like to note that it is strange that it says optional gratuity on the bill when I haven’t opted for it. 5/6 stars. Would come again.

Cote Shrewsbury never fails to impress and today’s lunch was no exception. The Breton chicken was outstanding as usual. Great staff, great service and great experience. Not my first visit by any stretch and I’ll certainly be back for more.

Lovely meal, slightly untasteful haricot bean salad, would have been 5 star but check was inaccurate as no dessert had been orders but was on bill

Service was good , but unfortunately part of my food was cold and being pregnant concerned me. It was dealt with in the end but difficult at first to get the manager to understand !!

This was my mums belated birthday lunch and we had been looking forward to visiting for a while. Staff were super friendly and couldn’t do enough to help. Food came our pretty quickly, especially given it was a busy Saturday lunch. My mums steak was sadly undercooked and a little tough but the staff couldn’t have done more to rectify this. The second steak was perfect and all of the food was delicious! We were made to feel really welcome and they were so apologetic about the steak and have more than made up for it. We had such a great time and will be sure to return soon! Thank you to all the staff for a wonderful lunch.

Very nice ambience very relaxing great staff attentive food is lovely relaxing environment with a chilled out feel to it. Reminds me of breakfast abroad on my holidays we come every Friday for a treat. A nice way to end the week

Only disappointment was the bed of mushrooms that came with the monkfish which didn`t compliment the dish. Everything else was very good and the service was excellent.

We chose from the 3-course February menu. Lovely food, well presented. The creme brulee was one of the best desserts I've ever had - worth going back just for that!

We had been to Cote Shrewsbury twice before when the restaurant was relatively new. On both occasions the food and service were way below expectation. The good news is that all issues appear to have been resolved...service was as expected and the food was of a high standard! Slightly on the expensive side...2 starters, 2 mains, some olives a couple of beers and a bottle of wine and you say goodbye to £120...but I guess that's the going rate these days?

Never had anything other than lovely food at Cote, attention to detail is first rate, beautifully cooked vegetables, nice bread etc., all backing up a varied menu. Decent wine list. Staff friendly, efficient, timing between courses exemplary.

The food was amazing, the staff where very helpful, the restaurant was very clean and tidy, would definitely come back and dine here again with my friends and family

We always enjoy our meals at Cote Brasserie. The service is excellent and the staff are so welcoming and pleasant. We love the ambiance and the food is always cooked to perfection. It is an added bonus when we have a complimentary bottle of wine and cocktail. This encourages us to visit more frequently. We are always recommending Cote to our friends and family.

We had a lovely meal at Cote in Shrewsbury I’m the Saturday night. We’d booked which was just as well as it was very busy, with a good atmosphere and excellent service. The food was delicious with a varied menu offered.

We arrived early not usual for local cabs; waited 10mins to be seated although we were 45 mins early. How great is that? I fully expected to be told to come back in 35 mins. The Food was excellent, we weren't sure of our wine choice and that was changed , no hassle no comment. There is a service charge added to be honest for the service given I would normally increase the amount. It is fabulous to find a restaurant in town that treat you so well they will always be your go to place x

We enjoyed a delicious lunch with excellent service. Very impressed with the wide choice on the vegetarian menu which was a major factor in choosing to eat here.

We enjoyed a very good lunch from the weekend special menu and the staff were attentive and courteous whilst being very busy. Would deffo go again - just be aware the optional service charge is added to the bill.

Lovely layout, open areas with private tables to suit all. Not impressed with the ‘optional’ 12.5% gratuity charge on the bill. This isn’t the USA! We did leave a tip commensurate with the service we received. I notice from other reviews that the gratuity policy has been mentioned, food for thought? (Excuse the pun)

A very pleasant lunch with friends, great tasty food and lovely friendly service. This is the fifth time I’ve visited and it’s never disappointed. Would highly recommend.

A lovely meal with great service. As someone with Coeliac Disease eating out is often an anxious experience however the staff at Côte in Shrewsbury were excellent, the gluten free menu was clearly explained, the manager took my order personally and my food was brought out clearly labelled by a separate server to the rest of the party which gave confidence in their overall understanding of my condition. All of us enjoyed our meals, both main and dessert and the staff were extremely polite, attentive and service was speedy but not too speedy!

This is a brilliant place to dine outside in the historic square in Shrewsbury. Staff are lovely. Food is great. Can I say more?

Another visit to our favourite eating slot. Excellent food, lovely, ftiendly competent staff. Very pleasant atmosphere with a nice buzz and music at a level which didn't drown our conversation.

We eat out in Shrewsbury quite often, yet had never visited Cote Brasserie before. Three of us had a superb three course meal each, with every morsel eaten. The service was superb as well, so we left all feeling very content with our first visit here. We'll most definitely be back soon!

Excellent service from start to finish. Nice atmosphere. The menu was varied, the food was fantastic as was the wine menu. Highly recommend. I will be back.
