Côte Shrewsbury

We have been to this restaurant several times and it never fails to deliver. Excellent food, service and atmosphere. What more could you ask for?

The staff were attentive at all times, and agreed to a change of table when we asked for it. The food, as usual, was up to a high standard.

Staying in Shrewsbury for weekend . Fantastic food and service , really enjoyed it . Had the 3 course set menu , was lovely would recommend it . Will definitely re visit if in Shrewsbury again .

Fabulous food as always. Just a little disappointed with some aspects of the service. we had ordered some bread before our meal after about 10 mins we were hurriedly informed that there was no bread and it would be removed from our bill. The waiter didn’t wait to ask if we’d like anything to replace the bread! We had two young children with us who were getting hungrier. After another 10 mins a member of staff did arrive with bread and apologies for the wait. Main meal was delicious however we were charged for the bread :)

Excellent evening with absolutely lovely food!! Only very very minor point was that a waitress spilled a drink on the table and didn't them come get to wipe it up.

Had such a lovely meal here once again! This time it was my boyfriends birthday and the staff brought over a card and a candle in his pudding. Always so happy and impressed with the food and service at Cote. Thank you!

I thought that the food was excellent but the tables are far too close together. I would have preferred a bit more distance between tables so that I would not be forced to listen to a high volume conversation from the next table.This detracted from the overall experience.

We weren't planning on having a meal at Cote, but dropped in on the off chance of a table being free Upon arrival we were greeted by the manager and after a few minutes we were seated and ready to look through the menu. We only wanted the lighter menu and found something we both liked The staff, who were very friendly and always on hand made the whole experience very enjoyable and the food was delicious as usual

Overall, a genuinely superb meal and professional service. Booking a table on line was so easy. The welcome was spontaneous and the staff were all efficient and friendly. The food was fresh and beautifully presented. A really enjoyable and relaxing experience. We strongly recommend Cotes.

As usual very good food and service excellent staff very pleasant but not intrusive. Always has a nice “buzzy” atmosphere lovely venue to meet and catch up with friends.

Saturday lunchtime visit to Cote Shrewsbury. Great food, great atmosphere, downside was the service was a little poor, had to wait for courses, but when arrived amazing.....

The food was consistent to the high standards I expect from Côte (I live in London), and the service was even better! The staff here have created a lovely, relaxing bistro environment and the chef cook the tuna of my Niçoise to perfection.

As ever, very friendly, efficient staff, fabulous food and a wonderful choice especially for me, as I have Coeliac Disease and often have a disappointingly limited choice. It was a pity that the advertised complimentary Rhubarb Martini couldn't happen as the Rhubarb element hadn't been delivered but an alternative drink was offered and happily accepted!

Had a lovely lunch for my birthday Food in general was excellent Strange had no bread with mussels or soup starters ? Had to ask for some Steak was lovely but lacked a mushroom or grilled tomato, small portion Pudding was shared , but beautiful ( crumble ) Service was brill I will return and give it another go Thank you

Excellent service , menu and quality of the food and drink. A popular choice for us and our friends the staff at Cote' Shrewsbury pleasant and engaging.

Human error is unavoidable and it is the way in which issues are resolved that's important. Today, one of our breakfast's (ironically 'Dad's' breakfast with it being Father's Day!) was forgotten. We all had our breakfasts but unfortunately his arrived after we had finished and our plates were cleared. However, the staff were so lovely and apologetic. It seemed as if there were a series of problems which led to the delays but they did not make excuses, they just apologised and firstly, giving us 'Dad's' breakfast as complimentary and then after a further delay, the whole meal. We did not have to complain - the staff were all very proactive in their approach. We have been to this restaurant a few times before and have always had good service and food so this appears to be the exception. So despite not having Father's Day breakfast all together, I would still return and recommend this restaurant!

Really good Sunday lunch - three generations of family to celebrate our sons 18th. Staff were helpful with ordering and kindly brought his pudding with a birthday message on the plate and candle/sparkler. Food was well cooked, sensible portions and nice interiors. Thank you.

Another great lunch at Cote we choose the goujons of Cod with minted peas and French fries and two starters the calamari and the endive and rock fort salad all were fabulous. The staff were very friendly and attentive couldn’t fault it

Fantastic service - our designated waiter was delightful, as was the food. The recommended blood orange cocktails also made for a perfect birthday meal in comfortable and stylish surroundings. Thank you!

As usual we enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere. I don't understand why you ask me to write a review. If there was anything wrong I would complain while I was in the restaurant, all I am doing is wasting my time.

Staff were very attentive and accommodating.so much so that when they found out it was my birthday a card appeared from all the staff.What a lovely thought. Food was very good ,although our mains were a long time in coming and the waitress picked up on this and apologised saying that there had been a mix up in the kitchen . This is the reason that l have only given three stars for overall experience.

As usual the customer service was excellent, the food exemplary and the toilets pristine. My favourite place to eat in all of the West Midlands. Voila ! 🥰

I’m afraid it wasn’t a great experience today. Clearly, being fathers day the staff felt completely overwhelmed and look quite stressed and unable to offer the usual high standard. My full English breakfast was very average and in particular the scrambled egg which was, completely overcooked which really ruined the culinary experience! I would need to consider whether we would die there again in the near future. As it isn’t a cheap meal out! Hope that this feedback is useful.

Just had one slip up ordered 3 starters only 2 arrived we had to inform the staff twice to get third starter it ment someone was having to eat their starter after the other 2 had finished there's. Thought we may have had a bit of reduction in bill but no. Apart from that everything very good food atmosphere. Our table a bit noise near coffee machine but had good view of street and things going on outside so can't have everything. Market down for noise but know lots of tables no problems as we have been before.

My husband and I couldn't fault our Anniversary lunch today, the food, drinks and service were excellent. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to our family and friends.

Delicious meal and excellent service as always! The starters were small but very tasty and the mains were delicious, especially the pork fillet which was superb.

First time in Cote. Meal was good and above average. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Would have given 6 starts if your round tables were larger, not enough space to seat 4 comfortably.

Lovely restaurant with fantastic food and courteous friendly service. The experience is always consistent in Shrewsbury and well worth a visit. We will be back soon!

From the moment we entered we felt welcome. The staff are pleasant, helpful and not 'pushy'. The quality of the food is excellent and we enjoyed our 2 courses from the a la carte menu. The range of wines is good and we chose a lovely Muscadet. Overall great value for money, nice environment and we will return.

Exceptional service from the moment we walked through the door. I had mentioned my gluten intolerance when I booked the table and a gluten free menu was waiting for me. Excellent chices on the menu. Our food was delicious. Enjoyed the complimentary filtered water served at the table. We will definitely return.

Have been enjoying this place for a few months now, wonderful food and great lunch time offers. Friendly and helpful staff, great prices too. We are yet to dry dinner here, but breakfast and lunch both outstanding.

Starter was delicious, but the main course was cold. Service was so slow and had to wait ages between courses. We were given a bottle of water that was warm and clearly taken off a table and put on ours without refilling. meant to be a special lunch and it was mediocre
