Quick to serve starter - waited over 30 mins for the main course, which was a real shame but Rod Stewart was performing in town!

Food very good- excellent cheese board. Great location on Square & good atmosphere. One drink was forgotten but corrected with two more, (1 free!) Pleasant staff & service. Decor a little plain. Would definitely visit again.

Great food, great service lovely venue and good value highly reccomended. Staff were very attentive and made you feel relaxed , they looked after us well , had a bit of chat without being obtrusive.

Lovely food and great atmosphere. Friendly service. Not cheap but nice for a treat. Our daughter said to put a smiley face! We loved the water bottles too.

This was our 2nd visit to Cotes Brasserie and again we had a lovely meal. The food and service very good. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Food is excellent. A bit noisy but what you expect if it is fully booked. Few outside tables only, booking is highly recommended. Will defintily come back again, and again, and again.....

Attentive and personal service. Good food! A very enjoyable lunch at a good price. Will certainly be returning to Côte in Shrewsbury and friends have already been based on my experience!

Considering the cost the quality was brilliant. Downsides being only that the table water was warm upon serving and cutlery was placed on the table rather than a seperate napkin.

Although its a chain, its a new restaurant and it show's...eating area was too cold, service very averge along with the food, although the wine was served at the right temperature. They were fully booked so not sure if it was simply too much for them on the night? Maybe there will be an improvement when things are a little more setteld and staffing levels are understood. We had the Cote De Boeuf...which was cooked and seasoned well, sadly the cut of meat let it down, rather chewy! I find it frustrating when you can buy and cook better than a restaurant, the Taste the Difference Ribeye at Sainsburys is much better quality meat!

Quality of food excellent for a very reasonable price. Lively atmosphere, well designed decor and attentive service; couldn't ask for more. Ideal place for lunch.

The food was lovely and service very attentive. The only objection I have is the automatic addition of a 12.5% service charge on the bill. I appreciate that you can ask for this to be removed, which I did, but I find the practice underhand and the amount excessive.

Lovely evening. Our waitress was attentive and ensured we were happy - also good that she was able to chat with us as she served us. We have eaten at other branches of Cote and this was as good, if not better. Yes it's a chain but quality of food is excellent and very good value for money.

I dine at Cote restaurants a lot because I find them to be of a good standard and offer good value for money I am pleased to say this was my first visit to the Shrewsbury branch and I was not disappointed, great food and great service, I will certainly be returning when I am in Shrewsbury

The food was lovely received very friendly service and had a good atmosphere. Only niggle is added service charge. Think this should be personal descion on amount

We were greeted with a smile as soon as we entered the restaurant and were soon shown to a table. The food that we ordered was excellent - everything was hot, fresh and very flavoursome. The service was informative and attentive without being overbearing.

A new branch of this well known chain opened in shrewsbury. The service is ecpxcellent, and the food spot on. It compares very favourably with other branches of this brand I have visited, and had has a lovely situation on the old market square.

Extremely efficient and friendly staff really make a substantial difference. Food was very good and reasonably priced, the early evening menu is excellent value for money.

A lovely new restaurant with outside seating. A fabulous meal & a good wine recommendation, we were allowed to try before we bought the bottle. And a cheeky pre meal kit royale. I will be back to eat at Shrewsbury

The menu description of the Breton Fish stew did not mention it contained potatoes nor that it came with bread. I ordered a side dish of potatoes and this was too much as the dish contained so much potato and bread already.

We arrived a few minutes before our reservation time and shown straight to our table. The staff were very friendly and cheerful. The atmosphere in the restaurant was light and you could see that other diners were enjoying their experience. Will definitely return.

A really enjoyable evening with some old friends , with fantastic food, really tasty ! The best meal I've had out in a long time

Excellent experience. Food was great and the service superb. We visited with friends who were staying with us and who had been to other Cotes before and so wanted a good meal and this we got. Everything was just right.

Good experience, food good, ordered olives that were forgotten and we subsequently had at no charge. Restaurant was busy and staff friendly and efficient. Will return at later date.

Food delicious. I had the haddock with pancetta and lentils followed by tarte aux pommes. Service efficient and friendly. House wine very palatable watch for 12.5% optional service charge!

Delicious food, and friendly staff. We never had to wait too long for our orders to be taken but we never felt like we were harassed by the staff as well.

Booked a late table on Sunday night. Warm welcome when we arrived, attentive and friendly service throughout. Food was to a very high standard. The Pork Belly was delicious. As good as any fine dining restaurant around.

Lovely food but the tables are too close to each other, felt like I was dining with strangers! Our main arrived when we were eating our starter too.

Lovely restaurant with attentive staff. My starter was wonderful, but unfortunately my main wasn't that great. It is very good, however that they have options for those who have allergies or dietary needs.

Our first visit to Cote Brasserie proved to be a most enjoyable evening. Everything was spot on. The food and service were excellent. It would be hard to find fault with anything.

First visit to the newly opened branch in our home town of Shrewsbury. The food from the fixed price menu was very good. Service was prompt pleasant and attentive and we will look forward to going again soon. My only comment is that whilst there is a good selection of wines by the bottle, the choice of wine by the glass was very limited. I did ask for Shrewsbury branch to be noted as my main destination but received no reply from your customer service department.

Lovely steaks! The starters (Camembert flatbread) was a bit disappointing as way too much onion. Service good and lovely restaurant setting, tables in the window looked the best.

Well trained staff and a varied menu. We were very well looked after by a helpful waitress. Very nice surroundings. All the staff wished us well as we left. Very welcoming.

Considering the restaurant opened less than 3 weeks ago - a well oiled machine. Food was good, authentic without reaching great heights - but it's early days. We enjoyed the experience and will return. Not cheap, with 'optional' 12.5% service charge too.

Great food and fantastic service. We had tried to walk in on the first night but they were fully booked. The manager gave us a drinks voucher to entice us back. We booked this time and weren't disappointed. Will definitely go back.
