Côte Shrewsbury

Good service, good food, very nice environment, well worth a visit. Thoroughly recommend for lunch or evening meal. Have been several times recently and will certainly go again.

We love Cote, exciting food and exceptional service. With a wonderful location looking out onto Shrewsbury's Medieval Town Square, we love to sit outside and watch the world go by

the staff were very attentive but the food from the evening menu was disappointing. We much prefered the Monday to Friday lunch time menu which was delicious.

On this occasion, we found the service too intrusive. Still loved the food and the overall ambience. Has not put us off our fave restaurant.

Good food, friendly service but overpriced @ £10.95 for a salad. I asked for extra dressing which was nicely served in a small jug. Had to ask three times for the bill. Not sure I would go back in a hurry, plenty of other individual restaurants in Shrewsbury to choose from.

On arrival kept us waiting at entrance for over 5minutes, served main meal whilst we were still eating our starter and staff never asked if we had finished our starter. Not impressed on first visit.

Great good and service. Location is on the town square. Nice ambience inside and has outside seating The fixed price menu is good value for money.

Very noisy (Hen Party!!) an hour between starter and main course definitely tailing off from when it first opened in April which is a pity.

Service was fantastic throughout the meal, food was about average but certainly good enough for the price range. We were very cold when we first arrived, so much so the people either side of us also mentioned how cold they were too, one even went back to their car to get a jacket but when I mentioned this to the waiter they had the air conditioning turned off which was much better.

An excellent experience. The food was delicious and service attentive without being pushy. We ha dthe celebration set meal which gave us a good choice and we felt was good value. We will return.

Superfood. Staff very attentive. Toilets nice and clean. Front of house was interested and very personable Always good value for money. No one still knows how the loyalty system works

Absolutely superb, great value for lunch and exceptionally helpful staff, particularly with young children 👶🏻 We will most definitely be coming back without a doubt.

Again we had another lovely meal at Cote Brasserie. The service was very good and the food was excellent. We would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Our first visit to the Shrewsbury branch but have visited others before. Very enjoyable. Met our usual expected Cote standard. Would have given it top marks but the melon starter should have been riper. Menu choices and size of portions perfect for the warm weather - not too heavy. House wine very good. Attentive staff. Asked whether the service charge was acceptable which was good. No problem with it. Decided to forego coffee and have it at home so as to free up our table for someone else as the restaurant was very busy. Already planned our next visit

This was my second visit,this time at 8 pm so the restaurant was much busier. Greeted and shown to our table by a very welcoming gentleman. There were three of us in our group we all had main courses and all delicious , lovely and hot too with a few different meals to chose from my last visit.We had a bottle of the house red which was smooth and nice to drink on its own or with the meals. The restaurant did seem a little noisy this time ,and not quite as relaxing as my last visit however it was busy and that can only be a good thing. On bringing the bill the waiter pointed out the optional service charge to us which we didn't pay but left our own tip which we feel much more comfortable with. Look forward to another visit soon.

Very pleasant atmosphere and excellent service. An asset to Shrewsbury - I will continue to be a regular customer! My guest enjoyed her first visit and she will be repeating it!

Really enjoyed the lively food - took father in law for his birthday, he liked his present😃.Staff were very pleasant. Modern comfortable surroundings. Would definitely recommend👍.

Fabulous food had the early menu £10.95 for 2 courses was plenty ask for bread to mop up the very tasty garlic sauce from mussels which wasn't a problem as it wasn't part of menu.service very good friendly & helpful staff. thank you

A very good moment - we had a table outside - good service - very warm welcome with smile - good food (close to the French cooking) - a bit expensive - we'll go back for dinner again

We all had another enjoyable evening at Cote Brasserie. The food was very good and service was great. Its's our favourite restaurant in Shrewsbury at the moment.

Very good food and service. Comfy table for four people in a booth. Fixed price lunch menu is good value with enough choice to satisfy most people.

I have enjoyed food at Cote in several locations, so now pleased that I have one close to home in Shrewsbury. Great lunch Ideal place to meet up with friends.

My first visit to the Cote today and I couldn't fault anything. The layout of restaurant is spacious, the staff are relaxed but wholly courteous and obliging, wonderfully varied menu, food met all expectations, ambience, everything, just perfect. Shall be returning soon and recommending to my friends.

Our experience at Cotè was fantastic. The environment service and food was excellent. Staff were attentive and very helpful, knowledge and professional. There was a huge range on the menu and the food was delicious and freshly made. We would highly recommend the restaurant to our friends and family.

Lovely! Relaxed, quiet, good food and excellent, attentive, friendly service. why not 6? Two small points - why oh why add the gratuity to the bill, especially as it is 'optional'. I was very happy to give a a good tip, but I do not like being 'pressured' into giving one and having the amount suggested. And the table area was very small and cramped. But I would wholeheartedly recommend Cote to others.

We ordered the set lunch which turned out to be quite mediocre and not very French in our opinion, which should be valid, as we have travelled extensively in France and eaten in many French restaurants. The starter of langoustine tails was a small portion of fish with a large quantity of gloopy mayonnaise. The chicken walnut salad main course consisted of alot of lettuce and some very dry strips of chicken. The dressing was acceptable, but rather bland in flavour. The choice of desserts was small. We did not see any fresh vegetables being offered on this menu, which made the price look expensive for what we got on our plates, and in comparison to other similar eating places nearby made it a poor deal. In addition, when we spotted that there is a 12.5 % service charge included in the bill we were quite taken aback, as we always leave a tip when eating out, and are generous if the service has been exceptional. But we do not feel that we should have to pay automatically. It did say that this was optional, but when dining within earshot of other people it is not always easy to change this without appearing mean. We were very aware that this is one of a chain of restaurants, where the staff have a 'script' and the eye is very much on marketing, but for us the truly personal touch was missing, and we will be going back to our favourite French style bistro soon where we know we will get seasonal vegetables and a good selection of desserts.

Brilliant, met up with some friends for a "catch up". Staff attentive, great place to feel relaxed and not rushed. Food delicious. Will be coming back for more of the same.

Decent. Only issue was we arrived on time at 18:45, but by the time our order it was taken it was part 19:00 and we weren't allowed to order from the early bird menu (which finished at 19:00)

First time we have visited this restaurant and will definitely be returning. Great atmosphere, lovely food and excellent staff. I would recommend here for a evening meal.

I find the staff, food and experience excellent not matter what cote brasserie you eat at they are of the same standard and would recommend.

Had the early bird menu good choice and good food, service good except they forgot my espresso!!! would definitely try the full menu at a later date

Food and service really good, but not too sure about the idea of adding optional service to the bill and Tenn asking if you agree to pay it. A bit embarrassing all round. It just took the edge off it. I would have left a tip anyway.

Booked the table on line, table was ready when we arrived. Good service, pleasant staff and lovely food. I would definitely book to go again.

Food was amazing!! And great service! The only tiny problem we had was they only served bottled beer, the guys would have preferred a pint of beer, but other then that me had a great meal and evening.

Excellent food, good value and friendly professional staff. Nice setting too. Will definitely go again. Even the wine list was good value. All French food and drinks. Outdoor seating is a nice option.

Very nice food. Recommend the Pissaladière as a starter! The fish is very fresh and the service is excellent. Overall a nice restaurant in central Shrewsbury.

The food was good and the service was very good. However, the crashing of empty bottles being thrown in the bin is more like a pub than a restaurant. A lot of banging cupboard doors as well. Dampers needed

Delicious food and attentive service, apart from a wait for ordering our dessert. Waiters were friendly without being over-attentive or intrusive. Clean and pleasant venue.
