Excellent service and pleasant staff , good choices of food and drinks good to see a well run restaurant with organised staff Also a decent wine list

Enjoyable, the food was good but the environment was very noisy. It seems that the acoustics were the problem. No one person or group were doing anything other than talking normally but we had to raise our voices to hear each other. It felt like hard work. We will stick to lunchtime in the future

No mention of December menu extra £5+early menu Soggy chips risotto too dry no one brotherd asking till we tried to eat then only because of what was left!!!!! FIRST AND LAST TIME

Another lovely meal at Cote. We had the duck breast which was delicious.

The restaurant has an excellent and broad menu which caters for all. Food is no more than good and quantities are poor, however the desert menu and food is excellent. As for wine I ordered a bottle of Chablis and was brought a bottle which was about 8degs and which tasted disgusting. Having rejected that I was brought a second bottle which was around 2 degs. Having left same in an ice bucket it did drop to about -3 degs which is correct for a Chablis. On this aspect of service the waiter was awful. Service otherwise was good. Would I recommend the restaurant. Yes but be careful with the wine as the waiters are generally inexperienced.

We thought we would give this new Cote a try as we have died at others. Our expectations were high and we were not disappointed! The food was great and the staff were attentive. Well done Cote!

Lovely lunch - the set menu was great value and the sparkling wine delicious. Very good service and charming staff. Very attractive restaurant - quite noisy but it is nearly Christmas! Will be back soon!

Great ambiance, great food, good staff. Only complaint is that when given the menus the staff member didn't give us the cheapest (pre-theatre). We had to ask for it.

Food and service was excellent. Only criticism was that website and A la Carte menu stated lunchtime special 2 course 11.50 from 12-7pm. The only specials was Christmas special at 18.50 for 2 courses.

Selected our meals from lunch time specials menu. Two of us had Calamari and one had the paté. Good sized portions followed by very good steaks cooked perfectly

FABULOUS all courses were outstanding. Excellent quality food. Very tasty. All Staff very friendly giving excellent service. We were not rushed at our table. Highly recommended

Great food and friendly service from all staff members. It was not our first visit and will definitely be back. One of the best restaurants in Shrewsbury.

We arrived on a cold snowy evening and were warmly welcomed and shown to our table nicely away from the entrance door. Our waiter Daniel introduced himself and looked after us admirably throughout our time at Côte. We shared a the Charcuterie Board starter which was very nice. Unfortunately they accidentally brought our main courses out whilst we were eating the starter, but took them back as soon as they realised their error. When we were ready for the main courses they were then brought out. My main course was Tuna Niçoise and was perfectly cooked, however my partner's dish of Steak Frites was only warm. We quickly drew this to the attention of our waiter Daniel who was mortified and immediately took it back to be redone, and said he would also tell the manager as this was unacceptable to their usual high standards. The manager quickly came over and profusely apologised and offered my partner another glass of wine (on the house) whilst he waited for his dish to be recooked. This arrived very promptly and was now perfectly cooked. For dessert we had Chocolate pot and the Banana Crepe, which were both very nice. We then relaxed with coffees and after dinner drinks which were very reasonably priced. When we left the staff once again apologised for the problem with the steak frites and hoped that had not spoilt our evening, It hadn't, we had a lovely time. We know that occasionally things go wrong and it is the way that an establishment deals with an issue that is important. On this occasion the staff dealt with the issue perfectly, and we'd certainly recommend Côte Shrewsbury for the Quality of their food and service. In fact we have always found that despite being a Restaurant Change, the quality is on par with independent, quality restaurants.

Lovely meal! Food was fantastic, and the staff were very attentive and polite. Also booked a taxi for me - the service overall was brilliant. Will definitely be going back and would definitely recommend.

Lovely food, great atmosphere, excellent staff. This has been my second visit and very impressed with the choice especially the gluten free options which gives friends an opportunity to enjoy a lovely menu too.

Went for a meal last night with family (their first time) and everything was excellent as always. Friendly staff, lovely food and a great atmosphere.

Food not as good at normal. Very quiet and none of usual buzzy atmosphere. Not able to offer usual champagne by glass. Sad really- we normally enjoy our frequent visits.

A very pleasant restaurant encompassing a bistro of high elegance with well trained staff to complement a menu of fine cuisine at very sensible pricing.

Good service, good quality food. All elements of the dishes well cooked especially the halibut. No fuss,no jus, no foams or gels-just plenty of satisfying food.

This was my first visit to a Cote restaurant, my wife had previously been to the one in Bath, and on her reccommendation we booked an evening meal at Shrewsbury. The welcome was good and genuine, and the attentiveness was just about right, not too much, but enough. The food was excellent along with the wine. The seating is good allowing you to be private or to join in a conversation with neighbouring guests. So a really enjoyable evening and one that we will repeat.

The best meal we have all had in ages, the service was excellent and the all the food was delicious- especially the steaks! Will definitely return.

A warm welcome at the door by Dillon started our visit off very well. He was a most attentive waiter. The food was excellent, table comfortable, service much better than a previous visit when it was rather slow, a lovely lunch time; thank you. We shall come again!

Excellent food, and decent -sized portions. The service there has always been very good: staff are attentive and friendly. There's a service charge added to the bill, but I've been happy to pay that because the level of service has been excellent.

Great food and friendly service. Extra customer service points for keeping reading glasses behind the bar for use by daft customers like us who have forgotten to bring our own specs with us.

Excellent food, good service and a great atmosphere. Menu offers a good variety and although it isn’t cheap, all the dishes we had were good value for money. Definitely going back.

The staff were welcoming and relaxed. It was warm and cosy, we sat in a booth and although it was busy we didn't feel as though we were too close to other people and could hear each other talking. Service was unhurried and efficient with just enough humour to make it a very pleasant experience. The food was of a good standard, the plates were warm. Plenty of choice. I will certainly return. Food excellent. Staff polite, amusing and efficient. Produced a comp choc pot for my wife because they overheard us discussing her birthday which was a nice, unexpected touch. Will definitely visit again.

Excellent atmosphere, great service and food to really savour and enjoy. Highly recommend. Made a lovely evening before the Old Market Hall cinema, will definitely eat there again.

Lovely warm greeting from the young man on the door. Our table for four was ready- good cosy booth. Daniel our waiter looked after us well. GREAT food. I think we all chose off the November special menu. Starters included the boudoin noir which was a great success. My cassoulet was perfect winter comfort food, rich and substantial. The roast cod was immaculately presented and the fish was pearlescent. Two of our group shared the Cote de boueff which was cooked perfectly and was possibly the highlight. We were so well fed we declined dessert. Great atmosphere even for a quietish Thursday.

As always an excellent meal in a lovely atmosphere. All the staff are very pleasant and not too over powering. Had an early meal so we were out in time for the cinema.

Nice and busy, still good service. A very good choice on menus, wine list has a good selection of French Reds and Whites, which I really prefer.

very pleasant staff who tried hard to create some ambience on a cold sunday evening. Rather lacking in choice for vegetarians and a fairly pricey winelist but all in all we had a very convivial evening helped by attentive service and comfortable surroundings. Would definitely go again.

Late lunch time visit welcomed as usual on arrival. Main menu along with specials perused. Chose from specials which was very good value. Food arrived quickly and was it's usual good standard

First visit to Cote in Shrewsbury. Excellent 3 course lunch for £13.50. Service prompt and attentive without being too rushed, perfect for lunchtime and no problems with the service charge, well earned provided it does go to the staff. We will return one evening for the a la carte menu.
