Excellent service from a very friendly team, great food and a consistently reliable menu, right in the heart of Shrewsbury. This is the perfect place to meet for lunch or coffee.

Excellent evening for a birthday celebration. Great food , great service . Even though it was a busy evening , nothing was to much trouble ! A birthdays card , pudding with a candle and everyone singing happy birthday made my Mum’s night .

our Mains were warm like they were left for sometime before serving. WE have visited Cote many times and this is the first time we have had to complain about anything.

The staff were immaculate. They worked as a team, stepping in as necessary so there were no delays. A very enjoyable experience. The inclusion/burying of the Service charge in the bill was difficult to spot and it was our waiter who drew it to our attention when we left a cash tip.

Beautiful cauliflower soup and fish pie parmentier. Could not fault it. Service great too. Well done cote.

Our experience from start to finish was excellent. All staff were attentive and friendly, nothing was a problem to them. The food was amazing, come out piping out and very tasty. Considering this is a chain restaurant where sometimes food can be generic and tasteless, this was not that at all. Everything was exceptional. Highly recommend for a romantic meal for two or group get together.

The décor and service at this restaurant are good. But the acoustics are dreadful which makes it difficult to have a conversation due to the loud hubbub. Despite booking in advance it was disappointing that our table for 2 was miniscule; whereas other couples seemed to have been given the booths and tables for four. The waiting staff were friendly and efficient and the food arrived in good time. The food was ok but nothing memorable. Breaded calamari need larger amount of and more astringent tartare sauce to add contrast as it all became rather bland to eat. Nice piece of haddock (from Xmas menu) but accompanying mushrooms (didn't work) and tomatoes, potatoes and cream sauce were a bit tasteless. Would have enjoyed more if the noise levels had been substantially less. Unfortunately the louder it got, the louder people had to speak! Not a place for conversation or an intimate meal.

Excellent. Our waiter was fantastic and provided a great level of service. We had an important family event and he made it all the more special with attentive service. Will definitely come again.

Enjoyable but noise level was excessive , especially for one with hearing problems. The cost of the meals was very satisfactory but the extras were somewhat expensive.

A wonderful evening with friends whom enjoy good food, the service was spot on and extremely overwhelmed by the thoughtfulness and happy staff.

Shame you still don’t serve elderflower or any other flavours tonics or gins. Also we didn’t realise we needed to order veg n sauces separately with the steaks and the waiter did not ask. Other wise it was all delicious. Very friendly staff.

Having eaten here 2 or 3 times in the last month as well as several times before that, I can honestly say we’ve never had a bad meal or service! As usual today’s meal was delicious. As it’s my birthday tomorrow I treated myself to the December special of fillet steak Rossini which was perfectly cooked and didn’t need a steak knife to cut it, the steak was that good! My mum had the confit duck a l’orange which she said was lovely too. Service very attentive and polite, food came promptly. Will be back soon

Excellent, friendly and hugely efficient service made the delicious food all the more enjoyable. The French onion soup with its lovely cheese crouton is a must, and the salmon was delicious. If only I had had room for the tarte au citron too! Thank you for a lovely experience.

Delicious food and delightful staff, as always. The service was fantastic with minimal waiting despite it being clearly very busy. One star down because it really was an exceedingly noisy atmosphere.

My favourite restaurant, another memorable visit with a visitor from France. Great service, lovely table, super staff and beautiful food, what’s not to like. My wife and I have visited many times and last evening was as good as ever, a wonderful visit.

Excellent service from the moment we walked through the door until the moment we left. The food was amazing and we will definitely be returning soon.
