Great food, lovely wine, prompt service, relaxing surroundings, and appreciate them staying open for service during the floods.

Had breakfast here. The food was very good and the service we received was excellent. Would recommend this place.

Went to Cotes for breakfast on Saturday, we all ordered different items from the menu, they were all excellent.

Excellent lunch at this friendly and wonderfully French brasserie. The service and food are both fantastic. The prices are not low, but the quality of food is reflected in this, in my opinion.

Although the six of us have very different tastes and preferences, we each found starters and mains to suit us. The meal was excellent and the staff were friendly but unobtrusive. We’ll certainly be back!

Great early evening meal, I do love the french onion soup starter. To keep the volume down today I had the mushroom ravioli, Very nice.

Food was delicious as ever. Service friendly and professional..but, having booked dinner and free cocktails on line, I was a bit perplexed to be told when we arrived that the cocktails were not available if we had the prestige menu. As it happened it didn't matter to us but this was not made clear when booking as it just states the cocktail is free if you order a main course. You need to clarify this on your website - it sets the evening off on the wrong foot, hence the service score.

On arrival we were shown to our table. We placed our coats on the back of our chairs but one of the staff suggested they might be a trip hazards for the staff and offered to hang the coats up for us - he then took both coats away. We had an enjoyable meal despite the couple on the next table complaining about having to eat from the special Valentine's Day menu! The tables were set quite close together so the staff dealing with their complaint were in our space too. We came to leave and went to retrieve our coats only to find that one of the coats was nowhere to be found. We asked the member of staff who had taken our coats for help but still the coat in question could not be found. The Manager came over, took our contact details, promised to review the CCTV first thing in the morning and call us with an update. As yet we have not heard from him. We walked home, at least it wasn't raining!

Dreadful. Me and my wife come here for Valentines Day. All fine up until this morning. Woke up with the worst dose of food poisoning I have ever had. The Duck Liver Patè wasn’t right. Nearly 12 hours later I still feel horrendous. I will never be coming here again.

You expect to pay a lot on Valentines night however the Olives are just silly money! Starters great very good service we loved them. We don’t like pink meat so asked for Chateau Briand well done it was fine but dry so the pepper sauce came to the rescue but pepper sauce surely bearnaise sauce would be better? Sharing pudding again great definitely go back

Valentine menu was okay but we were disappointed with the sharing chateaubriand, it wasn't a sharing meal just divided up already and not cooked to medium rare but only rare.

We always enjoy Cote and it was another lovely meal.

Extraordinary lunch today! I had the Fish Parmentier with creamed spinach in the side, which was off the scale delicious! We then both shared the Creme Brûlée and Tarte au Citron. The combination of the tart lemon 🍋 with the smooth creaminess of the brûlée was quite the most perfect pudding. I cannot recommend this place highly enough, plus the staff are gracious and attentive. Add into the complimentary Blood Orange 🍊 cocktail and we were happy ladies that lunched! M x

Great food selection on the lunch menu, great service and great value!

Overall a lovely place to eat which feels relaxed but also special. Our starter and main meal were lovely but we were disappointed with the mini cheesecake trio as they were watery (previously frozen?) and not very tasty, poor quality in my opinion and below the standard of other food served there.

Lovely experience, catered for a large group of us for a birthday celebration, nothing was too much trouble and the staff were very attentive. The birthday card and song made it extra special. Thank you Côte Shrewsbury!!

We visited on a Saturday evening with a friend who had come down from Scotland to stay with us. We had asked her where she fancied eating and she straight away asked us to book Cote at Shrewsbury as she had enjoyed it so much last time she was in the Midlands. As usual you did not disappoint and we all thoroughly enjoyed our evening with good food, good staff and great atmosphere.

A hugely enjoyable meal from beginning to end for both my wife and myself. The service was excellent, as was the food. It's been a long time since we both left a restaurant completely satisfied with everything. We booked in advance and were seated at a table at the window, so the backdrop of the Old Market added to the experience. The restaurant was full, but we never noticed any impact on the standard of service or unpleasant noise levels. We'll be back, that is certain!

Only thing I was a little upset about was when I left I saw on my bill that I was charged 12.5% gratuity. I have no problem paying a tip but this was automatically added to my bill. This was over £10.

Service always good and attentive, great atmosphere, menu fine but getting a little repetitive. Onions soup has been available for a lone time so has the Belly Pork both good, but getting boring. Looking on other Cote sites there is different choices on courses. Shrewsbury needs an up-date. Also we all love the wine list, French but beer lovers would like more of a selection, 330 ml bottles ?? May be a beer on tap.

One of the best meals out for a long time. Healthy, delicious, great service with lovely staff. Food cooked to perfection. No negatives.

Excellent breakfast well cooked. Service was also good. Mimosas were excellent and good value.

After ordering the starters and mains, the starters came reasonably quickly and and were very tasty. We then had to wait nearly an hour before the main courses arrived. My main was the belly pork and I had to return it as it was all fat with literally no meat at all. By the time the replacement meal came my friends had finished theirs and the belly pork was still extremely fatty with next to no meat. Needless to say I wasn't charged for the meal
