Côte Sevenoaks

Service excellent and food really good. Our waiter was very attentive without being annoying and we had an overall enjoyable experience. There was a crying child on the next table which was frustrating but appreciate that this was not the restaurants fault. I felt the meal was good value for money.

After the Theatre my son kindly took me to Cote in Sevenoaks. The food was delicious and all the staff very friendly and welcoming. I recently moved to Sevenoaks from Hove recently where I was a good customer of Cote in Brighton. I think dinner (early or late) at Cote will be a must when I have a theatre night or indeed sometimes lunch or brunch. Thank you, Gwendoline

We were halfway through our starters when our fish main course arrived. When we sent it back the waiter said she would keep it warm for us....?the manager tried to imply that you always serve the fish main course with the starters???when it arrived again we were told it was freshly cooked but it wasn’t- overdone and the original fish hoping we wouldn’t notice.

Had a really great experience. Food fantastic as usual. Had the duck with cherries which I had never had before and it was really tasty. Also had the complimentary Gin & Tonic with Elderflower Liqueur which was absolutely delicious and all the better as it was free. I am now going to buy some Elderflower Liqueur!! The service was also very good with the staff being really friendly and helpful. I could not fault it.

Great food, efficient service and friendly staff. Varied menu without too much choice. Portions are good size and everything seems fresh and cooked to order

Our favourite family restaurant and our current favourite dishes are; duck breast for me, Toulouse sausages in lentils for my husband, moules mariniere for my son and steak frites for my daughter. Delicious.

I requested my steak medium rare. It arrived well done. The replacement steak finally arrived at which point my husband’s steak was cold and all the vegetables were cold. My second steak arrived totally raw. The manager gave us the entire meal on the house but we will not be back again as the previous time we went we also had problems.

Excellent food. Very good service and an extra touch was the dessert for the birthday girl on the house. Staff were polite and attentive. We shall definitely be back to Cote Sevenoaks.

Excellent service and excellent food. Came here to celebrate my BBC Radio 3 debut and mine and my mum's birthdays. We were even treated to a complimentary glass of sparkling rosé wine, which was lovely. Lovely atmosphere. Can't wait to return! X

A nice varied approach to dining. The various cocktail and drink offers are an excellent idea and encourage guests to return again and again. The food is good quality and well cooked. The Staff are excellent and I would say that service is friendly and efficient. Management is good, responsive and sensitive . Cotes approach and all round offers mean that you are clearly ahead of the pack . In Sevenoaks you would be our first choice. Congratulations- please maintain your standards, it is refreshing Mike D

Cote in Sevenoaks is consistently good, excellent food and service. Would highly recommend it to anyone. There are not many chain restaurants that you can say that about.

Lovely staff. Bit of a wait for food but it was Father’s Day, and we weren’t in a rush. We all loved our breakfasts. Thank you!

We had a table for eight. Different main courses were ordered, and all arrived together. The food was excellent, as demonstrated by completely empty plates! The service was speedy and efficient, and the staff friendly and helpful. It was a very jolly and happy occasion. Undoubtedly we will be returning on another occasion.

Delightful meal and service. We always like Cote as it serves food that is good quality and there is an excellent veggie menu as well as general menu. The wine is good and the Meteor lager I love. We will return.

The food was good, but the service was disappointing, with one food order wrong, and a glassful of champagne was spilt and wasted when the bottle was opened.

My wife had a minute steak and chips, we unfortunately forgot to ask for it well done, the staff kindly took it back and return with a fresh order of chips as well. I had the Mussels unfortunately the quantity has reduced and the sauce had no flavour. I also had a bottled beer which I had not completely poured into my glass, unfortunately while I was using the facilities the waitress cleared the empty glasses and bottle that still contained beer. As always the Crème Brule was perfect!

The food was excellent, as was the service. Our 2nd time here and we will definitely return. In my opinion, the only thing I would change would be to dim the lights and have some candles on the table.

I have never written a negative review about Cote but last night's experience, whilst not dreadful, was very mediocre. Despite having booked a table in advance, we were shown to the back of the restaurant to a table where a more 'normally' proportioned couple (we are very small in stature and slight) would have struggled to be accommodated. Co-incidentally - or should that read 'interestingly' - most of we grey haired diners were seated out of sight at the back of the restaurant. The service - normally friendly and prompt - was slow and rather brusque which may have been due in part to our server having a number of tables to attend to. At the end of the meal after a reasonable wait, with no one about to take our payment, we left our money on the table and walked out - no one came to take the money and there was no one front of house to thank us for our custom and wish us goodnight. For the first time I chose to eat from the prestige menu. The choice may have been wider than the normal set menu but the portions were small (one tiny sliver of a fillet of seabass) - so not, in my opinion, worth the extra money. My partner's chicken fillet from the standard set menu was okay, if a little dry but at least it was a reasonably sized plate of food. I hope this was just an 'off night' for Sevenoaks Cote but at a time when restaurant chains are fighting for custom, last night proved that there are some issues that need addressing. I used to recommend Cote unreservedly for its good value food, pleasant ambiance and prompt service but given last night's experience, I shall be more hesitant to do so in future.

Excellent meal and staff did a brilliant job of helping me with celebrating my best friends birthday.

The food..... I had the prawns followed by the lamb was excellent. The creme caramel is definitely the best I have tasted! The service was very good with friendly staff. The atmosphere was just right whether it was a table for two or a birthday party and the tables were nicely spaced. I was the guest of my son but I was a regular at Cote in Brighton before I moved to Sevenoaks this year. I shall definitely be back. Thank you, Gwendoline

The maritini cocktail was one of the best cocktails I have had. Food was as good as always. Another great experience at cote

As good as ever, food (choice of, presentation and quality), general service &, as always, the helpful and friendly staff and ambience - even had our favourite table in the corner!

First time ever in a restaurant I have been told that my friend and I were not able to share a starter as chef would not like it!

We are regulars at Côte and give regular feedback, and generally think highly of it. However we have never commented on the piped music which is totally inappropriate and quite annoying. It is mostly inane, comprising two or three chords, repeating endlessly -worse than “lift” music. Why not something French, in keeping with a French- style Brasserie? The staff have no control over it and we learnt today that it is piped over the Internet and all they can do, and are required to do, is switch in on.

We had a lovely breakfast and staff were efficient and fun!!

It was a very special evening for our family as we were celebrating our daughter's 20th birthday. We were surprised by a beautifully decorated 'nook' and a bottle of sparkling! The food was delicious as always and staff had put a great effort to make this evening very special. We also appreciate that you seem to have continuity with staff who are always very friendly and recognise us when we return. Many, many thanks!
