The service was very friendly although a little slow to start with, but the food was excellent. There was a good choice of food and drinks.

As usual, good food served by pleasant polite staff in a lovely environment. I've never had a bad meal at Cote and I go there regularly.

Good service food and atmosphere. Only remove the optional service charge which I feel is equivalent to a fraud!i paid £28.00?uninowingly towards service charge which is a lot!

As good as ever with fabulous service. The staff happily moved us to accommodate one of our guest's plaster cast, lined up the birthday kir and looked after us really well. Being marked down for there being no sparkling water available - sold out !! And slow to keep us stocked with still water. Food as consistently good as ever

Food was good. Fresh and well prepared. But hugely under staffed meant level of service was non existent. The sides didn’t arrive for the mains until we chased and had to wait 10 mins while the food went cold. The manager said he’d deduct the starters from the bill as an apology but then never did. Don’t offer something and then don’t do it, that’s worse than not offering in the first place. Very disappointing.

Waited 15 mins at table before anyone came to serve. Ordered 2 noilly Pratt and olives as aperitifs. Waited long time for these and was given Ricard. Explained to waitress we asked for Noilly Pratt and she argued with us that we didn't. It then transpired that they do not have Noilly Pratt as people don't ask for it. Why was it on menu. The young waitress was very impolite but seemed under stress as very busy. Most people seemed to be waiting some time at their tables. I asked her if there were any other vegetarian choices and she brought over the vegetarian menu . why is this not automatically given along with the three other menus we were given at the outset. Food was fine. Service appalling. We asked for the 12 and half percent service charges to be removed and front of house also took off price of coffee. We also noticed that we were charged for higher priced olives instead of the ones we had ordered. Have eaten in a number of different cote restaurants but will not be returning to the Sevenoaks one.

I booked a table for four people to celebrate our daughter's birthday. The food was excellent, and the service was very good, despite the restaurant being quite full. One of the waitresses attending our table heard me mention the birthday and so the simple (but delicious) Coupe Noire dessert which we all ordered came in our daughter's case complete with a birthday candle and the waitresses sang Happy Birthday. To top this off, the birthday girl's dessert was complementary - a nice touch.

Reliably excellent food. We go to Cote regularly and always enjoy it. Friendly service. Wide choice. Decent wine list. We are always happy to return.

Consistently good food and service. A wonderful variety of well prepared French brasserie dishes at a reasonable price. It’s always a pleasure to dine there.

Attentive service, but the main dish I chose was not available and the Reward bottle of Merlot was finished, so there was was some confusion in choosing an alternative. However, the food was generally excellent.

Enjoyed the lunch menu and chose tuna flatbread for starters, seabass for main and creme caramel for dessert. All very tasty. Pleasant, attentive and polite staff and cosy atmosphere. Recommend.

The food was excellent, well presented and of good quality albeit that the cherry sauce overpowered the duck a little. Unfortunately the service was less good. The waitress was uninterested and non communicative. We had a long delay before being greeted but the manager was excellent when she arrived.

The food was really tasty, we had a gorgeous meal we both enjoyed, the service was friendly from the moment we walked in the door until the moment we left despite it being a busy Saturday night, and there was a nice ambience about the restaurant. It was good value for money as well.

Great service and food as always. Highly recommend. We normally enjoy the steak but tried the sea bass today which was delicious. Nice free bottle of wine which is a regular occurrence with Cote Rewards so well worth it. £82 for two people, including a bread basket, three courses, a bottle of wine (complimentary) and an aperitif!

Always reliable and enjoyable. We enjoyed this early January visit and the offer of free wine with the a la carte menu. The crab starter and duck confit special were very good. The service was efficient and friendly

The food was, as always, delicious but the waitress seemed to be overwhelmed with demands. She was rushing around and we sometimes had to wait for her attention. She did not always have a detailed knowledge of what was on the menu. I had sea bream and would have appreciated being told that it was not filleted. However the tarte au citron was wonderful. Thank you

Three of us had lunch at the Sevenoaks Cote. We eat here quite often and the food is always of a consistently good standard. Their lunch deal of two courses for £11.95 is always good value. My wife enjoyed here mussels, our friend enjoyed her pulled pork and my minute steak was fine. As always the chips were delicious. Quite busy so service was a little slower than usual but nothing to complain about.

As usual it was an enjoyable experience but I was disappointed that sea bass was not available even though it was on the menu. Also for starters I chose a tartlet with goats cheese and black olives but no tartlets were available so salad had to be substituted. As I had been let down on 2 fronts I think perhaps a little conciliatory gesture from the management should have been offered. I am a regular customer!!

Excellent service with good food served in pleasant and convivial surroundings. Three of the four diners opted for the wide-ranging A La Carte menu and one for the set menu which still offered a good choice of dishes at a very reasonable price. A most enjoyable dining experience.

Nice clean restaurant but the food was not up to the standard that we have experienced at other Cotes. My main course of rabbit was 'sloppy' and difficult to eat with a knife and fork! The desserts were not all delivered together and there appeared to be a number of times that the person delivering the food from the kitchen was waiting for the waitress to complete a task before serving the food.

Cote Sevenoaks came up with delicious lunchtime fare for 3 yesterday - their prix fixe menu was (as always) reliably good. Love their steak/frites too! Their portions are not too big, so yes you will still have room for a nice dessert. too! Service was excellent - prompt but but not pushy.

The food was very good and the ambience was nice. Service was a little slow on occasion but that may have been because of a sudden influx of customers. However, we had a really lovely evening and will come again.

Another pleasant lunch at Cote with efficient, prompt service and a good choice of well presented, tasty dishes. It is worthwhile mentioning that they have separate vegetarian and gluten free menus - both of which are not immediately apparent and you have to ask for. We find that Cote as a chain of restaurants offers consistently good service and quality of food throughout its branches.

Sadly we were given a table tucked right around the back of the Restaurant, suitable for 4 people comfortably, but we were 6......requested a table move, which they happily agreed to. It was ?Christmas Eve, but not a single decoration in sight!!

We preordered for the set Xmas menu with 1.5 hours to eat but the service was very slow and we had to leave before dessert as we were going to the theatre. The manager did reduce the bill accordingly and was very apologetic. The food that we had was very good but based on this and an experience we had a year ago i’d Say only go when you have plenty of time.

Poor lighting, gloomy, poorly staffed. We had to get up and find a waiter for more water, menus, etc so didn’t feel looked after. Tunbridge Wells Cote has much better atmosphere.

We last went to Cote about a year ago which was a fantastic experience. This time there was a lack of waiting staff and there were some very long pauses before anyone came to our table. I had to get up to pay at the end! Food was excellent though.
