Côte Salisbury

In the rear restaurant room, looking onto an open utility area, badly let down what was otherwise a pleasant dining experience. Surely, no self-respecting restaurant would consider this acceptable?

Excellent fish (Cod Supreme on specials menu) Very helpful waitress, advising on the wine and choice of food. Efficient service. Lavatories spotlessly clean. A very pleasing ambience.

Very good food and service at a reasonable price, staff always very helpful regarding any allergy concerns,would recommend the restaurant to anyone who enjoys good food and wine.

Salisbury's Cote is always well run and friendly, even at really busy times. Delicious food again and again at all times of the day. It's good to see dogs there too!

Very good evening. Good range of options on the menu and our choices were very enjoyable - well prepared and presented. We were well looked after by all staff from arrival to departure. Nice atmosphere.

Visited Saturday lunchtime and had an excellent experience. Good food, good service. As always, a little expensive for drinks and extras (bread) when you add the extra 12½ per cent.

We were going to the theatre in Salisbury and so we were pleased with the good quick service.Excellent gluten-free menu. We enjoyed the good price.

You get what you pay for, not earth shattering but nicely cooked and nicely served. Wine list could do with updating and maybe a few changes.

Easy to book, taken to table quickly upon arrival. Excellent meal with good service, very reasonable prices. Will definitely be back! (Recommend the Tarte au Citron for dessert!).

Breakfast at Cote is always very enjoyable. The trouble is a lot of other people are getting to know this!!

Food & service all very good. Your food is of a high quality, we have never been disappointed. Equally the service is very attentive One niggle -we would rather not have the service charge automatically added and instead leave it in cash to the serving staff.

Booking was simple, we were made to feel welcome. The service was friendly, helpful and timely. The food was delicious, altogether a very pleasurable experience.

Very much enjoyed the food and the service we received at lunchtime today. It took us longer to decide what to have than the time for the food to arrive. We were not rushed at any time and were given good recommendations.

As always Cotê was 100% , tried this months special Veal Escolopé , was really good , in fact had it twice now Crab mayonnaise starter also very good Thank you Cotê

The quality of the service staff was not up to the usual standard and not deserving of the 12.5% service charge. Although we have booked cotes at Winchester next week, if the service is as poor then we will remove gratuity and not return to cotes.

Food excellent, service good until dessert which took a long time to arrive. The waiter was apologetic and deducted it from the bill. However whe n the bill arrived the wine had not been taken off. We then waited again! Eventually we got our coats and took the bill to the cash desk where it was resolved.

A lovely lunch with my daughter on April 12th. We were seated with a window view and served by an attentive and friendly waitress. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will return again.

Unfortunately there was a problem with the till. The staff handled the situation very well, they were very apologetic. We were very impressed with Cote as usual.

Restaurant was quite busy and loud - only one side of the restaurant was open and it was packed. Server wasn’t great, we were kept waiting for the bill but the food was amazing and quick also.

Really good meal and service. Feel service charge should not be added to bill but be discretionary . However service was very good and efficient

Lovely new menu for a more extensive set meal. Good atmosphere even though it was eafly evening and friendly staff. Excellent venue for a pre theatre meal.

The early pre 7pm menus have a reasonable choice and are cooked & presented well. Portions on the fish course are however small. Ambiance excellent as always.

Good ambience and excellent service. Not impressed at all with new "Prestige" set menu - poor choice and over-priced representing poor value for money. For example, the apple crumble desert has moved from the original set menu to the prestige and is exactly the same, except the ice cream portion has reduced in size! The prestige menu costs £5.45 more for the courses. Is this just a sneaky way of increasing prices?? I won't be having the "Prestige" again.

All very good as usual. Salisbury staff excellent and food remains at a very high standard albeit I felt this time that the apple crumble (normally excellent) was topped with a congealed crumble topping rather than a 'crumbly' crumble topping. I did bring up with Alex the Assistant Manager. Otherwise all fine.

We did not like having to pay extra for vegetables. Apart from that we love the restaurant. The staff were polite and efficient and the whole ambience is very good.

Food very nice. Good Location. I really dislike the practice of restaurants automatically adding a 12.5% "optional" service charge onto the cost of the meal and then seem affronted when you ask for it to be removed/reduced. This was a table of 4 - service was OK not spectacular.

Great food, great service and great value. It is often busy. So book to avoid disappointment. The fixed price lunch and early dinner menu offer excellent value for money

We often eat at La Côte before the theatre and have found the service and timing excellent and always have a good choice of delicious food.

The £11.50 two course lunch is good value although I thought the seabream was rather small and could have come with a few potatoes as standard. I paid cash and chose my own sum for the tip. The service was well organised. Food imaginative and tasty.
