Côte Salisbury

It's always a pleasure to go to Cote in Salisbury. It's buzzy, the staff are friendly, the service is excellent and we have never had a bad meal there since it opened.

A thoroughly enjoyable experience. Attentive staff just a pity that the bread order did not materialise before the first course nor did a requested spoon.

It was a very good visit. Staff were attentive and the lunch time menu was full of choice. Will visit again next time we are visiting

Disappointing food. This is the first Cote Brasserie. I have ever visited where the food was fairly unmemorable. Our pear and endive salad sounded delicious on paper but in reality was boringly presented with all ingredients chopped small. Presumably a large bowl of this is made up in advance and portioned out as required instead of individually plating up the elements of the dish for each customer. My friend was unable to detect any recognisable pear in her starter although we could both taste it. To follow, my hake was over-cooked and quite dry. I can't speak for my friend as she made no comment on it. Otherwise, the staff were friendly and efficient and our table was quiet (which I had requested).

Restaurant very noisy today and the tables were too close together so we heard all the next table conversation. Menu choices need to be updated especially the desserts.

Food standard very good as usual. Great choices on the set menu. Service efficient and friendly. I'm on crutches at the moment with an ankle in plaster and they went out of their way to make sure I was sat comfortably and could put my food up. Thank you Cote Salisbury.

Comfortable seating, while restaurant full it was sometimes difficult to hear across the table. Delicious scallop salads and a very good tarte au citron. Good service.

Good meal(2-course set lunch), just a shame there was no small salad with the steak and frites. Would have made all the difference! Service extremely good.

As per usual the staff were brilliant the food was of the standard we have come to expect every time we have been. Nothing is to much trouble I would highly recommend Cote to anyone who is looking for a nice place to eat.

Fantastique et formidable. Er, hang on... oh yes, Phoebe my daughter and I had the thinnest tenderest and tastiest of steaks and roll-up sized frites. Juliet my partner had the haddock. This was a splendid dinner finished off with a considerate concession to English nursery taste. Crumble aux pommes. The service was just the far side of perfect. We'll be back. Ce soir, probs.

Friendly and attentive, delicious food and a relaxed ambience made the early evening experience extremely enjoyable and both friends and I will definitely book again.

Beware - miniscule portions if you opt for the set lunch or early evening menu. Service was good. Still don't like the optional 12.5% service chargeadded to the bill

We have had a super lunch at Cote. Salisbury today, Easter Sunday. The ambience, the staff and the food, Was as always first class. This is our favourite place to eat. Long may it continue to prosper and please.

We have been going to the Cote in Salisbury since it opened about 9 years ago and we have not had one disappointing meal. Last evening was no exception. The food was delicious and the staff were, as always, welcoming and very attentive. The atmosphere was friendly and the dining area is clean, including the toilets. It is our regular choice of restaurant in Salisbury, having tried many others. I would recommend this Cote with its warm ambience and excellent cuisine.

Your usual great service and food. That's why we keep coming back. The food is always consistent wherever Cote You go to and is always enjoyable

Would probably have been a 6 but for the desired starter having sold out. Otherwise the service and the food was as good as it always is.

Very good, as always. The food was delicious especially the chocolate mousse. The staff take a lot of care of their customers and nothing is too much trouble for them. We shall visit again.

Ordered steak frites. Steak was not pink as advertised. It was a bit overcooked and not very tasty. Ordered tomato salad. Tomatoes not very ripe.

Lovely meal as always the staff are attentive and polite. We sat outside today and we were not forgotten at all and we didn't have to wait long for our meal.

As ever, the team at Cote Brasserie, Salisbury were brilliant. Friendly, knowledgeable service and of course, lovely food. Would recommend Cote Brasserie to anyone who has not tried them.

It was good but the sea bass was overcooked and the restaurant was airless. The Manager said that the painters had painted over the windows so they would not open. However we are regulars and enjoyed our lunch overall.

We loved the atmosphere in this busy restaurant with just the sound of happy people talking, no music. Good menus with wide range of choices. We all chose something different and each meal was well presented, piping hot and delicious. Servings not too large so puddings were enjoyed too. Service was good, staff friendly and we appreciated the drinking water brought automatically to the table, no need to ask or pressure to buy bottled waters. Excellent all round: we will be returning.

Can always rely on a great meal here or at any Cote. Great quality for the money too especially the set meal for two or three courses. Fab early evening supper!

The Salisbury restaurant was as good as always. Food, service and attmosphere - all good. It was a Saturday evening, busy as usual but the food came quickly and the serving staff was as frindly as usual.

An excellent meal as always very tasty and full of flavour. The food was hot and well portioned the waiter was very attentive in making sure that we that were happy with every thing.

Excellent value and great staff....very attentive, responsive and lots of smiling faces. Nowhere in Salisbury to beat it. I go there a lot for these reasons.

Nice welcome, delicious food, good service, but very noisy "ladies who lunch" almost made conversation impossible for a while! Credit card machine failed but we paid with cash. We will be back.

The meal was excellent and could not be faulted. All the staff were most attentive. My only criticism is the table was in a busy thoroughfare which is not ideal.

Very friendly and polite staff, eager to help with dietary requirements and charming. The food is excellent and the historic building with high ceilings adds to a great evening out.

Five of us had lunch sitting outside in the sun. The food was excellent and the company convivial. The only downer was having to wait so long for our food. One of the party mentioned this to the waiter who was pretty sharp back to him. We had fun notwithstanding.

Typical chain restaurant food. Very poor steak - dry, gristly, and tasteless. Charmless service with the usual questions delivered in a dull, uncaring monotone. Should have gone for Thai or Indian which are the only reliable choices in Salisbury which is sadly lacking in quality dining options.

Good food, nicely presented with a good inside environment and great location in Salisbury. Service is also good, but frankly should be for the 12.5% automatically added to your bill! A little awkward for the frail and disabled: quite a lot of internal steps, particularly for the main loos - the disabled loo had a wonky seat and was not very smart.

Again a very enjoyable meal at Cote. Food very good and also very good value as we had the set menu. Staff very efficient but friendly and helpful

The food and sevice were as always excellent. The General Manager (Jennie) looked after us in a most professional way and ensured a first class dinning experiance. One which we will repeat in the very near future.

Loved this place, great manager, great ambience and unbelievably, it is also reasonable priced. The service was excellent and food was faultless. I would recomend the pork belly, its divine!
