Côte Salisbury

We were a party of 6 people. We all enjoyed our lunch except for one of the starters - Warm Roquefort Salad. Although it says a dressing it was really only some salad leaves with a few croutons and the dressing was simple. It would have been much better if there had actually been some Roquefort cheese , as one of our guests was French and disappointed but the rest of our choices were excellent as were the staff.

Another enjoyable meal at lunchtime today. Excellent food and service. Staff worked very hard at a very busy time. Thank you.

Food was lovely - but the service was a little poor. Not very friendly, quite slow and when we didn't want to pay the optional 12% fee for service ( this was a company paid for xmas meal and our budget didn't allow for that ) the point we didn't pay for that was pointed out. The service wasn't worth 12% of our bill.

Delicious food with friendly and prompt service. The restaurant was busy so perhaps abit noisier than I would have liked but that may be the bad luck of who you get sat next to! Otherwise a wonderful lunch

Côte was recommended for us when we visited Salisbury to meet up with family. Being mostly vegetarian I was really impressed with the great choice of food, I’ve never been anywhere that has a separate vegetarian menu before! There was a great ambiance and the staff were very attentive and helpful. We ‘over stayed’ our time after we had paid the bill as we were having such a great time and we felt no one pushing for us to leave although it was getting quite late. All together a fabulous experience, thank you.

It is always good to eat at cote, nice food as ever

First arrived and the waitress was more interested having a general gossipy chat with her mate off the street than acknowledging us and making us feel welcome. Another staff member came along after about 4 or 5 minutes who was lovely, took our reservation details and showed us to the table. The food and general service throughout the meal was excellent and when we asked for the bill the initial first waitress of the evening brought it to us and was just generally very surly and really put a dampener on the evening. It’s a shame that this one person can dictate your whole experience of your evening when the rest of the staff were so lovely. This is the first time I have had an evening meal here and would come again but won’t rush back just based on the beginning and end of the evenings experience with this one staff member.

We had excellent service from an extensive menu by attentive staff. My Breton chicken was very nice, but my Father’s burger was vastly overcooked compared to the requested medium.

The food choices were great and both of us had something new.

The 4 of us had a wonderful dinner. Food and service excellent. However, as usual, the white and rosé wines are not chilled enough. We already mentioned that fact several times to both managers (Alex and a woman in her 30's) but alas, no improvement yet on that front. Each time, we are told that the wines are coming from the fridge but the problem is that these bottles must have been put very recently in the fridge. Please look into this. Thanks.

I thought that vegetables should be included in the price of main meals

Terrific lunch, excellent service, very, very helpful and cheerful waiting staff, particularly Maria who was very patient with four elderly friends who had travelled from Hampshire and Somerset respectively to meet for lunch. Standards, quality and presentation of food, excellent, in line with Cote dining standards. Our only drawback, which is very common in all restaurants nowadays, is the crashing and bashing involved with fresh coffee, very distracting and unpleasant. However, this will not stop us returning, I will just ask for a table further from the counter. Overall, lunch was delicious and delightful, thank you all in Salisbury.

Had a very short time to eat lunch. The staff were fantastic, the service flowed seamlessly and I had my meal and was gone in 35 minutes! Brilliant!

As always over the past 10 years and more we can rely on the quality of the food and the service.

We dined as a group of four and we were lucky enough to be able to have the Xmas menu. The staff could not do enough for us and were excellent. The food was lovely and well worth having if you have the choice of menus. Would definitely dine here again.

The Salisbury Cote is a little Gem. The service is excellent as always, however the chefs at this branch are a little bit special. They produce top notch twist to the seasoning and added herbs to dishes that are good in their other restaurants, but in doing so so take the food from good to excellent. Recommend the Sea Food Linguine or the Beef Bourguignon when they are on the menu.

Food was great as usual but I had booked our favourite table 18 online for 12.30 but when we arrived was appalled to see two people already sat at it. When we indicated our surprise to the manager he said he gave them the table because they were disabled. I told him that so are my partner and I who both walk with sticks and that was why I had booked that table. He didn't seem over concerned and pointed us to a table further up the restaurant which involved climbing up a rather high step. A most unsatisfactory visit apart from the food and the waiting staff who were excellent as usual.

Easy booking service was fast and efficient Brunch was tasty

Service fine but portions have visibly shrunk. The steak in steak frites used to cover the plate. Not any more. Last night’s steak barely covered half the smaller plate. Also the crab mayonnaise had undergone some recipe tweaks. Still ok but not an improvement. Under new management does not appear a good thing for Côte!

As usual, delicious food. Service was good , staff polite and friendly.
