Côte Salisbury

Went for lunch with my family today. And we have been coming to Coates in Salisbury for years well since it opened. And have always had a fantastic meal and service. But that last couple of times we have been the food has been good but the service has been awfull. We where sat on a table that had not been made up, and then had to ask for knives and folks for our startes. And was given steak knives and was told they had run out of normal knives. But when our main came we had normal knives even tho we were eating steak. When asked if we could order more drinks we where told in and irritated voice that she would a minute. When she finally came over she took so long getting our drinks we had finished our meals. It’s a shame as never had a bad experience there till know

Cote is normally v.good but not up to it this time- a Sunday at 1600 hrs. About a half of the Minute steak was too tough.Disappointing.

We booked for Mother’s Day lunch and we all had a lovely meal. Good variety on menu at a reasonable price. All in all a very pleasant experience.

Gluten free service was great. The food was up to the usual high standard and the service too. Excellent value for money. Thank you. See you soon.

We booked very late so was surprised we got a table even more so when the staff were able to sit us by a window. Food was excellent.

We have been regularly eating at Cote Brasserie Salisbury since it opened and have always been impressed by the food and staff, especially compared to other Cote Brasserie locations. We are moving away from the area and will miss our frequent visits for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Food was excellent and fairly priced. Service was very slow and the staff preferred to be clearing the restaurant and shutting down for the night rather than attending to customers. Ordered hot drinks, they never arrived. The restaurant itself had no atmosphere or ambience. Very brightly lit,no music

Your staff were all beyond charming and helpful for this birthday lunch. My risotto was a bit underwhelming if I’m honest, 2 x mushroom & cheese pancakes were (as always) excellent but the chicken Caesar salad presentation was NOT good: I’ve never seen it presented so poorly: a mass of slithers of chicken sitting on top of a huge salad in quite a small bowl. My companion had to tip it on to a plage in order to mix it together.. surprisingly really poor presentation for such a standard dish which tasted good.

Having been to Cote many times before, I was surprised to see how slightly more plain and unattractive it looked. (Hadn’t been for a many months) Also we waited too long to even be asked if we would like some drinks, then waited too long for the meal to arrive. However, the staff and the food were very good.

Great service and always helpful staff. Good value menu and interesting, well cooked food. We had the Easter two course menu for £11.50 - perfectly cooked haddock with pea purée.

A great meal tho not sure the large young man should have passed my plate of food directly in front of my friend to get to me. Surely the other side of the table would have done!

The food as always was delicious. It was busy and we did have to wait a while for our mains, but we didn’t mind. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the atmosphere was just right.

Excellent food (we had the Crottin followed by the Duck with the wine pairing), friendly and efficient service, very good value - many thanks for a lovely Valentines meal!

A lovely lunch, being a vegetarian I chose from the separate vegetarian menu. There was lots of choice and the food was very nice and the service good.

Food excellent, service excellent - just give a little more time ordering and between courses. I hear we have the best Cote chef here in Salisbury!

A lovely evening - its the ideal place to catch up with friends - although the restaurant was busy it wasn't noisy so no problem with conversations- the food & service was very good as usual

Food served promptly and piping hot with very good portion sizes and a varied menu. Staff were friendly and the atmosphere very welcoming. Overall would return in a heartbeat!

There were flies in the restaurant. And the manager/assistant manager ( sorry she had a bruise under her eye but that’s a rude description) looked so very miserable like she wanted to be somewhere else. Quite rude really. A meal out is a treat so we should be made to feel so. Some of the staff didn’t know what they were doing as in putting food on the wrong tables so need more support. Service by Adam? Very tall chap with dark hair was very personal and friendly.

Super evening, food was fresh and tasty and the staff were attentative. We were celebrating Valentines and had the house Chamagne. It was sweet and not too gassy. Love Cote 💖

Gorgeous Meal! I had the pork belly which was delicious. The French onion soup is Heavenly!! (Waitress apoeared a bit bored and didn’t listen properly. She brought me a gin and soda instead of a gin and tonic??!!) Apart from that, excellent! We will be back! 😀

The Staff were not initially welcoming, nor were they a few weeks ago when our group of four tried to get a table but were told the restaurant was fully booked. This was despite it being only just after mid-day and virtually empty at that point. However, we thought we'd give you the benefit of the doubt, hence our being there today, although there were only three of us this time. I do think your Staff need more training in dealing with the Public in a friendly manner, not a cursory acceptance of people entering. Once I mentioned we'd eaten at Côte in Basingstoke, which was absolutely wonderful and had a really nice ambience, I was treated more cordially by your own Staff. But the initial couple of minutes makes all the difference and yours just don't have that! The food was ok but my gratinéed potatoes were very overcooked and the sides of the dish they were in were burnt. My overall opinion is; 'please do better.'

Ate lunch at Salisbury branch. Friendly professional service prompt and lunch time set menu great value. Would recommend to family and friends and would return.

A lovely meal with an excellent waitress, very attentive. We would prefer to tip good service ourselves so not keen on the 12.5% charge which although optional is added automatically to the bill. Overall a very pleasant evening.

I have been lucky enough to dine at Côte twice this week...or should I say spoilt! Lovely, yummy food and super ambiance...all good on both outings, thank you.

The food arrived very quickly which was perfect as we were in a hurry for the theatre but the chicken was only luke warm and potatoes hot I was offered a replacement but there was not time The cost was deducted off the bill and the service and apology was excellent

Mother’s Day set menu. Excellent value. Excellent service. We had the two course. We shared the starter & the desert. We loved it. Thank you very much.

Very busy Mothering Sunday breakfast, normally a good service however today poor. Of the 7 orders 3 were not correct. Eggs on one dish over done and another underdone. One breakfast wrong. Offered to correct and a lengthy wait. Sadly not your best day, sorry.

Service with A smile and great food. Can't complain. We keep goiing back !! Highly recommended+++ Went the extra mile for our 88 yrs old grandma with ahappy birthday chocolate sauce wishes on her dessert place!

As always, the welcome is with smiles. The table was laid out ready and the linen napkins crisp and special to touch. The service was swift and efficient, the food excellent. Staff were friendly, polite and helpful and the food excellent. The only reason that you didn't get the extra star is because the toilets weren't great on this occasion.

If it had been a leisurely lunch, it would have been perfect. However we were on a lunch break and the meals took a while to arrive. Other than that, food and service was great. We are regulars and highly recommended Côte

Hiya My food came 20 minutes after my wife’s meal arrived and the order was incorrect. I asked for chicken and fries with a side of green beans. With no dressing on either. It arrived with dressing on both. I asked them to replace it and the waitress came back with the chicken saying it only had oil and parsley on it. They eventually bought me my meal 40 minutes after my wife’s. The waiting staff were polite and did take the cost of the chicken off the bill when I asked about a concession. When the food did arrive it was very good. Although the staff were well mannered they seemed inexperienced.
