Côte Reigate

We received a voucher because our last meal wasn’t up to the usual standards we have been used to. It was New Year’s Day, maybe the staff weren’t in the mood! Last night, I’m pleased to say, everything was back to normal. I’d even say better than normal. Our waiter, Johnathan,was both charming and very helpful with his knowledge of the menu and wines. The food we had was delicious. Certainty won’t be too long before we go back.

Nothing wrong with the food, always good quality at Cote Reigate. But the whole service experience was the worst we have ever had in a Cote and spoiled the whole evening. After being seated, the waiter came over and asked if he could get us a drink. When we told him we were having the wine paring he said he needed to know what food we were ordering, so we quickly had a look at the menu and gave him our order. Within a couple of minutes were were presented with two Kir Royale. Then 3 minutes later, the wine for our starters arrived, which seemed a bit odd because they would start losing their chill. Then literally within a minute the starters arrived. We now had two glasses of barely sipped Kir Royale, two glasses of white wine and two starters in front of us. And we has sat down less than 10 minutes ago!! When we raised this with one of the senior service staff he said " sorry, but the starters do tend to be ready more quickly". We asked for our mains to be delayed - just as well we did, because we could see the kitchen staff churning out food to waiters who knew customers were not ready. Overall, a nice evening spoiled by a badly organised restaurant. Shame.

I have to say we were disappointed, the first time having to say this. The menu for valentine's night for the main courses lacked imagination and our choice of lamb chops produced a plate of two enormous fatty, rare (despite asking for medium) boney chops surrounded by peas. A great shame perhaps it was a night of too many diners for the chef's to cope with. Arthur Cumbers.

This was our third year at Cotê on Valentine’s Day and it was just as wonderful as ever. The staff are always great and the food is amazing!! Thank you to all and see you again next year where it’ll be our last valentines as an engaged couple and we’ll be celebrating our fifth year with you as a married one the year after!

Met two friends here for lunch last Friday with their little granddaughter, aged two. Very friendly and pleasant waiter, good food and buzzy atmosphere. Have dined here several times before and always found it good.

we had to wait a long time to be asked what we wanted. Then we had to chase for our drinks. It did not end there as out of 3 main courses only 2 arrived. it took 5 minutes for the third course. I had a business lunch today and the service had not improved We waited a long time for our dessert and in fact i had to go and find what was going on. Further more the cappuccino was mostly froth The final evidence of poor service today was that the bill had items that we did not order and in fact part of our main course never arrived. Word will quickly go round reigate about this pour service and other restaursnts in the town will benefit from your failure

We lunched at Cote Reigate, and it was our first visit to a Cote Brasserie. Our regular French restaurant, La Barbe, used to be 300 or 400 yards away, and has just closed after 37 years. After today's lunch, Cote will become our regular local French retaurant. La Barbe was very special, but Cote, bearing in mind that it is a chain of 94 locations, is not far behind.

Much better service than when last there on 31 December. Table was in a better location too. Food good but having been to Cote a few times just getting a little tired of the overall choice even though there are monthly specials on offer. But this is likely to happen in many place you visit often.

Excellent evening as always, although service a bit slow on getting our starter ordered. But still lovely food, staff and ambience.

Really nice, lovely atmosphere and great waitress. Very attentive waitress too, best we've had. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening and always recommend it! (Would love bigger Frites side portions though if possible!)

We always enjoy our dining experiences at Cote Reigate. As ever, today, the service was excellent and the food and wine delicious. We also really enjoyed our special offer cocktail which was absolutely lovely.

Lovely meal with 4 very long standing friends. Very waiter nice who I think was called Lupa can’t recommend highly enough. He’s to many more visit

As experienced here and at other locations, venue and facilities were very good and service efficient and courteous.

We were a party of four dining at peak time on Saturday evening. The restaurant was very busy, but we weren't in a rush and service for all courses was actually rather prompt given the number of tables occupied. Staff were very friendly, starters and mains were excellent. Unfortunately, desserts let it all down as they had obviously been left on the pass too long. The frozen berries with warm white chocolate was in fact served as room temperature sauce, which meant it didn't warm up the berries so it was icey and rather unpleasant to eat. The chocolate fondant and crepe dishes were also served at room termperature, not hot, which made them rather disappointing. The only dessert that did meet the standard of the mains and starters was the sorbet. But overall it was a poor end to the meal, which was unfortunately our lasting impression.

A lovely evening and fabulous food. Great service, a nice welcome and table ready when we arrived. Love the menu and tried something different for main course tonight. Complimentary bottle of wine courtesy of the newsletter offer and tried the non alcoholic gin flavour apperitif. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Lovely attentive staff and great food. Went with our two children and they were made to feel very welcome by our waiter. Really enjoyed our evening.

A warm welcome, comfortable setting, good service from friendly and competent staff, interesting menu, good wine list, good food well presented. Overall good value. I’d happily go back there.

A very pleasant meal as always. Over the years have been to a number of Cote restaurants in London and the south and have always been delighted with our experience.

Family breakfast and service was quite slow, which is not good when you've got hungry children. They were busy though and breakfast was very good.
