Côte Reading

Excellent evening, as always. Staff were great with very timely service. Food was not rushed and arrived to the table piping hot. This is our favourite restaurant in Reading.

Excellent service, and lovely food which was enjoyed by all four of us. Didn't really have room for a dessert but couldn't resist....Will certainly visit again when in the Reading area.

Cote is a lovely restaurant with a very warm and cosy ambiance. The staff are always welcoming and friendly; they go out of their way to ensure everything is just as you want it. The food is consistently excellent and great value for money. The fillet steak is a real treat!

Food and service were excellent, and the service was efficient and friendly. The restaurant became seriously noisy during the evening, and the restaurant filled up.

It was first.class food,service and having a Gin cocktail was the bees knees will defo be going back thank you it will soon be my Birthday so that's a good reason to returnx

Visited Cote in Reading with 4 friends, the food was amazing but only issue was I ordered a vodka and soda water with fresh lime and Cote does not do fresh limes, but that’s was the only issue.

Lovely staff, great food and drinks. 6 stars on all counts. definitely recommending this restaurant, not super cheap but good value for money and one to book for any occasion.

We had a really nice evening at Côte Brassiere, lovely food, varied menu (including vegetarian choices) and good customer service, looking forward to visiting again soon!

Often go to Cote great menu choice and good value. Unfortunately on this occasion my husbands steak was really poor quality and over cooked and we had to send it back 😟

Always a great meal at Cote, it’s my fourth different place and they’re always great thank you! I’d prefer to do my own tip and not automatically be charged 12.5%. I know it’s ‘optional’ but when you’re in company who wants to make a scene!

Cote Reading is, in my experience, consistently good and today was no exception. Food is good value, staff very good and overall it's a great place to go. But I have to say not all Cotes are as good as the Reading restaurant.

Always a good meal and service at Côte. The menu changes so there is always something different to try and the early dinner set menu is excellent value

The service was, as always good and the food excellent.

Food was delicious, amazing quality for good value for money. We are off of the prestige set menu and we’re very impressed. I had a rib eye steak which cut through like butter, it was so soft, not chewy at all. Service was excellent. Couldn’t find any faults.

The food was enjoyable with a good choice, and at a reasonable cost. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the service was very prompt. Will be happy to go again.

Enjoyed the food but the house wine at only 12% is a rip-off for the price they charge and is not very good quality.service charge a little steep at 12.5%

Really noisy, food was good and very fresh. A few too many bones in my fish. Staff friendly. Loathe the extra 12% added to the bill at the end.

Requested a table view window which you kindly sat us in. Nice smiley greeting on our arrival and gave us time to look at the menu. Delicious food served to the 3 of us, only managed starters & mains as full up but very pleased with our choices and shall hopefully visit again soon when in the Reading area.

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal at the Cote Brasserie and would highly recommend this restaurant to others looking for a good quality meal at an affordable price.

As always great food and a reasonable price. The wine tasted a little strange so we sent it back and absolutely no fuss was made. Five star as always. I will see you again in March with a friend.

There is a specials list for the month which adds variety of choice to the base menu, The costs are generally a bit higher than other regional chains but the quality is so good that I believe it is worth the extra, a lovely place to go for a special night out. The one thing I don't like is the noise level, it is difficult to hold a conversation with your companions, I am sure it could be reduced with the introduction of some simple, inexpensive features to breakup the large open dining area. Its worth knowing that they do a great breakfast as well!

I had the fancy chicken and chips with the tomato and olive sauce. It was nice. The chicken was cooked well and the chips were nice. But I wasn’t overly impressed by it. The Sauvignon blanc was tasty and the waiting staff were friendly and attentive. The whole ambiance of the place was nice. It was busy for a Thursday night (so must be good). I was put in the centre aisle and felt a little exposed there. People were stood round us chatting and the waiting staff often had to squeeze by. Food was served quite quickly. The caramelised onion flat bread was nice with a touch of goats cheese. Price actually wasn’t too unreasonable. Would I dine here again? Yes. I liked it

Staff were extremely friendly and attentive despite It being a very busy saturday lunchtime. Choice of menu was good and food very tasty and hot. First time at this branch although other locations have been visited.

Yummy breakfast! I couldn’t fault the food or the service - excellent! I had the breakfast deal which was great value for money. I will definitely be back another time

Friendly helpful and efficient service with lovely food. Excellent gluten free choices, with far more options than any other high street restaurant which we have tried.

Another very good experience from Cote, Reading. This has become our regular restaurant for team events and it doesn't ever disappoint. Looking forward to coming back.

Great food, great atmosphere as usual, service superb. I do think you need to be careful when booking on line if you're angling for the complementary wine or cocktail as we found the Rhubarb Martinis on our bill as I'd apparently not clicked the right buttons - really? They were taken off but it tainted the effect of the evening - shame.

the service was wonderful the meal was great and the experiance was out of this world thanks cotes. it was our 57th wedding annivresary so we all enjoyed our selfs9

Fabulous food and staff. Great choice of food for all courses. We are regular visitors to Côte at Reading and consider the restaurant to be the best in Reading town centre.

We have been here many times including other busy weekend days . Today started off well but we were kind off forgotten about halfway through our dining experience. It took a long time after our mains had been cleared away to receive the dessert menus and then a further long wait for them to come and take the order . The wait for the desserts to arrive took longer than for when the mains arrived , I found this strange. Yet again when asked for the bill , once it was presented no one came to take the money . I had to ask one of the supervisors to bring the machine. It’s a shame the second half of our dining experience went down hill as the food is really good here.I see that you automatically add the service charge to the bill but today’s experience did not really deserve that. As it’s Mothers Day I did not want to ruin my happy mood so I did not comment to the staff. We just wanted to get out of there by that time . Also last year I received a complimentary glass of Prosecco & wished Happy Mother’s Day - this year nothing ! It was a nice touch .

Three of us had a delicious and fun birthday lunch at here. Two of us chose from the set menu and one of us from the a la carte. Every dish was delicious and beautifully presented. The staff were friendly and efficient and we had a most enjoyable time. Côte is my favourite Reading restaurant.

We had the St Valentines three course menu at lunch. Started with baked Crotin goats cheese which was excellent, then filet steak with a wild mushroom sauce served with a celeriac mash. Superb. The piece de la resistance was the shared Assiette Gourmande. Wonderful. Very happy feeling when we left!

Great restaurant and fantastic staff. Food is always good and never have to wait long. This is my favourite chain restaurant, breakfast is really good here too.
