Great service from Salvo! Food was great, busier than normal though, which meant service was slightly slower than usual. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a restaurant in Reading.

A lovely evening. Attentive polite staff, good food served in a pleasant lively surrounding. Was given plenty of time & space after finishing our meal to enjoy catching up & finishng our conversation with no pressure to vacate the table.

The restaurant was so dark we had to get our phones out and put torches on to see the menu. Food was good though. Preferred Miller and Carter

As always excellent service and such good food! New menus look good. Every month I look forward to see the specials and the set menus.

Excellent service, very friendly staff, good atmosphere and lovely food. My husband and I enjoy going to Cotes in Reading and will be returning soon.

Cote is in my opinion the best restaurant in Reading for many reasons - the atmosphere is relaxed, it's not too noisy so you can hear each other talk which is obviously nice but not a given these days; the staff are always attentive but not in your face; it's one of the few menus where if I let someone else order for me, I know I'd still love the meal and lastly, it's reasonably priced. I cannot fault Cote Reading.

always a warm welcome on arrival and very attentive service, the food when it arrives is always well prepared and well presented. Very enjoyable meal.

Food was great, but it it's the second time we've had to get up to find a server to ask for the bill, and the second time they've also been all huddled around the bar just talking. It seems to be the same case for the other people there too, as I saw that others had to find staff to ask for the bill too.

Food very tasty, breakfast offer on weekends has slightly increased though. Service most of the time is very good, sometimes it takes a bit of time to get staff attention.

Had a great meal here. They brought filtered water to table as a mater of course. Fixed price men7 option was great. Food was served quickly and was delicious. Great location, lovely atmosphere.

We ate at your Reading restaurant today. The service was excellent, the food as good as ever and prices were fine. We shall be back.

I think the waiter was new and he was unfamiliar with the menu, he didn't include the sides that we had ordered and he got the wine order wrong. Fortunately there was a very competent waitress correcting the errors behind him and it was all sorted with no fuss. Food was excellent as always.

As a regular visitor, today was a Côte rewards visit with an offer of a free Kir Royal and starter for each of us and it was another lovely visit that didn't disappoint. Food and service are always wonderful.

Visited Côte reading last night, always very happy and impressed with the food and service at the Gloucester quays Côte but sadly our experience was not up to our expectations. Order our starters and mains with a fougasse to start, our starters came out overly fast but no fougasse arrived so we started anyway hoping it would come during our starters, it didn't, we were sat waiting around for our starters to be cleared but there was only about 4/5 tables and a lot of staff so I got someone's attention and asked where the fougasse was so I could finish off my pâté which I'd been saving for the fougasse, they then said they had been waiting for us to finish our starter so I said that was fine but could I have it to go with it and we'd wait for the mains because everyone wanted to have some fougasse with there starters. So as we're sat there and our mains come out and still no fougasse but a door host was bringing it over so i explain that we didn't want the mains yet because I hadn't finished my starter and was waiting for the fougasse she said she didn't want to leave the steak under the hot plate so I said I don't want the fougasse anymore as no one had a main to go with it I said no but she said she'd bring it out and take if off the bill , started my dinner and it took another 10 minutes for it to come at which time everyone didn't want it and was filling up also my started was still on the table and then had the fougasse and 3 mains so was very cramped me and a friend had about 2 bites and couldn't eat it as was so full, all the food was lovely, so we finished asked for the bill and the gratuity charge was still on there after having to ask where my food was twice and waiting about half an hour for some bread I was abit offended that was put on the after the service we were given which had made the atomosphere as we were so disappointed with how it was handled, and then later in the evening early morning me and my friend who had the fougasse were both throwing up and had an upset stomachs, and our other friend who didn't have any of the fougasse was fine so very very unhappy with our reading experience.

Excellent food and the usual good value for money. Service was good but it was very noisy in the restaurant area which made conversation difficult.

Choice of table offered, prompt, efficient and friendly service with an excellent menu choice to suit all pockets. Ideal for a business/reunion/get together lunch. Well done to the team.

The service was s little slow,despite the restaurant not too busy, and the veg option was overlooked until chased. Apart from this, the meal was very nice and up to standard.

Great food, great service and good value. Lovely fresh English asparagus to start followed by roast pork belly and finished off with the wonderful crepe praline with caramelised banana. Scrumptious.

As usual the meal and service was excellent. I think that without any doubt Cote is the best restaurant for a night out in Reading town centre

Very pleasant waiter , nice food! Got seated immediately and served on time. Can't fault anything. The only minus is lack of toilets on ground level so our elderly relative struggled to get there. Otherwise- everything was perfect!

We had a lovely meal here for a birthday celebration. The waiters were attentive and friendly. The food was really good as was the atmosphere. A little pricey but would return if the occasion was right.
