Food was enjoyed by all four people. Fennel was a little undercooked, and hard to cut. COD was especially tasty.

An excellent meal served by friendly and efficient staff and up to my usual expectations. it is now my number one choice of restaurant in Reading

We ordered from the set menu which was great value. The restaurant wasn’t busy on the night and time we went so the noise level and service was very good. Only one tiny thing, there was no custard option for the crumble. However all the food was fantastic, came out together and was hot. Excellent veggie options too. Would rate it one of the best ‘go to’ restaurants in towns or any occasion ....... will definitely go again....and again !

Great staff and the food was great again but the thing that lets it down is the 20% they had on which is not a service charge? Once when we asked for them to remove they said he but did not and when your spending like £65 on just for a specials he hat only come to like £12.50 per head and no starters and no puddings but a round of drinks but only soft drinks they put on like £10 Ruth the extra charge they add which angers me and you should understand that part m. Hope you look into that part and see if you comment back to me. Thanks

it was ok (regular/average in my view) but not exceptional given the brand..... I don't mind paying the 12.5% optional gratuity they added to my bill which I paid anyway.... but for that I expected some more enthusiasm and service from the assigned waiter on the day....had to ask for certain pieces of cutlery before they were provided and some other stuff....in any case...for such a high street brand name, I expected a bit more.....

Superb meal, had the fillet steak and it was amazing. A very enjoyable evening

We were a table of 4. Very good value prix fixe for lunch. I had a small issue with my dessert which was dealt with very efficiently.

Temperature, taste, presentation, service. All great. Consistent delivery is important and Côte nail it, every time. Can’t believe this app needs a minimium number of words. Crazy.

Good food good service and nice atmosphere, what more can you ask for at breakfast. This is one of the better organised cotes, particularly for breakfast. Only thing I would say, and this is for all cotes, coffee seems to take ages

My friend and I had a lovely, long lunch. The food, as ever, was great. Our waitress was lovely. She was very attentive and looked after us very well. We were able to stay for ages without feeling we were in the way. Lovely restaurant.

We had food off the lunch/early evening service menu - good value and good food. Nothing to write home about, but would happily eat there again.

Food disappointing. Greens provided on plate totally withered. Shows plate was not properly checked before taking to table. Service otherwise good. Atmosphere fine. Ladies room clean.

Fantastic New Year’s Eve meal. Lovely atmosphere and friendly service. The food was amazing as usual. We arrived early for our table too but we seated straight away - nothing was too much trouble.

As usual great food and service. Started with saucisson sec, followed by a favourite, Pork Belly and finished off with the excellent crepe praline. All very yummy.

Conveniently situated in the centre of the town, close to the shops and transport links, this restaurant also enjoys a pleasant location by the river. The interior is spacious and well laid out. The food was good but we were troubled by persistent small black flies throughout the meal. Though the staff were pleasant the service felt overly rushed - our main course was brought before we had finished the starter and we had to remind staff about a side order.

As usual a lovely meal, but at this time of year, I felt the pressure staff were under to meet the busy requirements, portions smaller, service faster, to meet the need of the next covers!

Excellent meal of very good quality promptly served by very polite and efficient staff. The coq du vin was extremely tasty and the crème caramel was superb.

There were 6 of us on the table , our starters and mains all came at different times . Not really acceptable. Waitress and managers apologised but it ruined the meal .

The Coq au vin was delicious, the were staff friendly and professional, and the ambience excellent. A really good place for a catch-up with friends.

Excellent meal at cote as usual. Staff is always friendly and food is always good. It was a bit louder than normal as there were multiple xmas pasties going on.

As always, a wonder full meal was had by all. We recommend Côte to our friends all of the time. Food is great and staff are friendly.

An excellent pre Christmas lunch. Poached eggs in the starter were rock hard. When we complained, we got free desserts. Can’t say fairer than that. Rest of meal e cellent with good service.

Service was pleasant but not intrusive. Food good and some useful advice given due my choice of main course - no carbs so I needed to add fries!

An interesting, very French menu. I had the cassoulet with confit duck and Toulouse sausage. Service was very friendly and efficient. We will definitely be going back.

Good friendly service and delicious food. Will definitely return and recommend to others. Plenty of choice. My party of five ate from two different lunch menus and the a la carte.

Great food at a great price. A wide variety of dishes to choose from to suit all tastes & pockets. Can’t wait to go back soon.
