Our group had a good spot on the first floor for us only. Good service and food was lovely. Price was okay too!

Dined at Cote for mother's day lunch. Very enjoyable. A little pricey, but food superb, and service excellent. Been there many times, and never had any cause to complain.

We chose Cote for a Company Lunch as they usually are fast and efficient, plus, its the only Chain Restaurant I set foot in. The Service was efficient in taking our Order, but that is sadly where it stopped. We where 12 people, we waited 20 Minutes for starters (we ordered from the lunch menu so I expect a bit swifter Service) and the starters where fine. no water refills, we had to mention to the waiter twice that we like some more water, despite having other drinks and wine on the table. Any how, after 30 Minutes of waiting the mains arrived, only to find out that one Main was forgotten to order, and one steak was so overcooked you could not even cut it! Great, so one person received their food right at the end when everyone was finished, and the other person received their food half way through. By that time we where all ready nearly 2 hours in the restaurant, and there was 2 members who waited for dessert to the point that we actually told not to bother and we paid. This for some reason was very swift and payment was taken quickly. I have to point out that the over cooked steak and the forgotten Dish where taken off the Bill. Thank you! When we got up, one of my Team member points out that he had ordered Dessert! i could not believe it, they actually forgot that to. Anyhow, all in all my food and some of my team members food was good, others not, but the Service was anything but great!

Efficient , fast service. The staff was polite, courteous and friendly, true fine dining experience , really enjoyed my meal, looking forward to dining there again.

There was a very nice atmosphere in the restaurant and we had a fantastic meal - beautifully cooked - and excellent service from our Greek waiter. All in all a flawless experience!

Lovely staff and food. Please would someone arrange for the disabled toilet/ baby changing to be completely redecorated. Also, why are kitchen staff in their whites using this toilet? I

What an amazingly fabulous meal. Looking for a special evening in the middle of Reading is always going to be difficult around the Oracle basin, but Cote Brasserie fit the bill, totally. Excellent choice of food, well prepared, delivered with good service at a good price. Coupled with an excellent wine list, this was a night to remember

It was a little too cold in the restaurant, however everything else was really great. The service was very good and we did not feel rushed during our brunch.

It was lovely to sample the beautiful asparagus dishes of the new season. Cote is our favourite restaurant, because of the excellent food and service, but also the wonderfully extensive range of gluten free choices for my wife.

Consistently good, both food and service. The staff are excellent, attentive and friendly. This experience was marred slightly by another table who had no control of their toddler, but the restaurant staff handled it as well as could be expected.

Attentive to allergies, great choice for gluten free and fantastic food. Perhaps a little noisy although it was a lunch with many families in. Only improvement would be to have all whites on the menu chilled and available.

Four of us ate at Côte in Reading yesterday evening, 28th February, we were there to celebrate two birthdays. I had said this was the main purpose of the evening when I booked the table. We had the most wonderful evening, absolutely nothing was too much trouble for the lovely lady manager and the wonderfully kind lady who looked after us at our table. Complimentary kir royals for the birthday toast and attentive but not intrusive service. The food was absolutely delicious, as it always is, the wine was chilled to perfection, all in all the perfect evening and the perfect place to celebrate two birthdays, thank you Côte!!

Steak was amazing but belly pork was very disappointing. Waitress was cold and not the most welcoming. Cheese board was fridge cold and this effected the taste.

We enjoyed our meal very much. I had the Breton fish stew which was fabulous so much seafood in it. Another in our party ha rib-eye rare and it was perfect another had the Salmon and another chicken all declared good you keep up a good Standard Cote

Food was fabulous as was the service. The only issue was how tightly everyone was crammed in (we were almost touching the tables either side of us) - probably not the best idea in the current climate!

Wonderful, tasty food in a welcoming and friendly environment. It helped to make my birthday a bit more special. The Prestige menu was excellent value.

As a group of 6 we lunch at Reading Cote about every 6 months. we enjoy the food but find that the red wine choice is a bit limited, For instance it would be nice to have a Primitivo on the list.

Very much enjoyed an early evening visit. Sadly a little quiet - perhaps due to the Coronavirus issue - which is a pity because the food & service were excellent. Took advantage of both the March Specials & the Prestige Set Menu which provided both variety and value. Have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant and will certainly be returning.

I cannot rate Cote highly enough. Not only was it the restaurant that my fiancee and I had part of our first date but it was also where I proposed yesterday (she said yes!). The staff were incredible throughout the evening and there were lots of little touches that made the evening special. It was her birthday so they put a candle on her desert (without being asked) and the staff wished her happy birthday when we began our meal. The manager even helped me to arrange a surprise bouquet of flowers which were kept ready until after the proposal. There was a minor disturbance of a drunk coming in from the streets and shouting but this highlighted the restaurants commitment to their customers even more... they immediately contacted Oracle security and prevented him from interfering with their guests. It was completely outside of their control but they still personally apologised to every table. The food is great quality and is very well priced for those wanting to enjoy a lovely meal in a great environment without wanting to pay a fortune. We're consistently impressed and can safely say it's in our list of top places to go!
