Having lived 35 years in France and Belgium, we appreciate the high standards of food and service set by Cote. Another enjoyable meal yesterday evening in Cote Reading.

Staff are always pleasant friendly and efficient. Service and food excellent and great value for money.

Enjoyed the evening. Good atmosphere. Service was very good. Asked to change our table and this was done very quickly and efficiently. Would certainly recommend and return.

Once again we had a very enjoyable meal, great food, great service. Top marks.

We had a lovely lunch today,the staff were friendly and attentive and the atmosphere pleasant.My daughter and I really enjoyed. I think it's excellent value for money and eat at Cotes often.

Booking online was really easy and simple a pity that the service did not match. Our mains took over an hour to arrive and other tables that arrived after us received their meals before us. The manager did apologise and we had money taken off the bill but it really spoilt what should have been a lovely Mothers day.

Yes we were greeted by a very friendly waitress,we said we had booked and she showed us to a table,drinks arrived promto we ordered our food which arrived very quickly then ordered puddings which arrived we paid and left very happy thank you

Breakfast, lunch or dinner - always serves good food at Cote. Good choice and good value. I visit often and have never had a bad meal.

Excellent meal, great service as always at this riverside restaurant in Reading. The Monkfish wrapped in bacon and a gorgeous Sirloin steak were our mains, I can highly recommend the monkfish, delicious, followed by the chocolate fondant and my favourite, Creme Caramel... Wonderful food at a reasonable price.

So quick with the food and quality of the service is fantastic. Only problem is the noise level, I like quite places honest but it was a little noisy

We enjoyed a lovely evening at the Cote Reading. We indulged in three courses all of which were very enjoyable.The duck confit was the star although the dessert, the tarte fine aux pommes, was not far behind. The service was excellent.

Fantastic food & perfect waitering. Everything was done at fantastic rate, food was ordered and arrived sooner than expected and tasted amazing! Will definitely be going back there!

Great service, lovely welcoming atmosphere and delicious food. The complimentary cocktail was enjoyable too. Friendly and highly professional staff who always make the the visit special.

As good as usual! Our birthday Kir Royales arrived without having to ask for them and the rest of the meal was as expected of Cote.

Really pleasant experience, lovely food and lovely service. Couldn’t fault the experience. Even added a little touch by giving a complimentary drink for a birthday. Would return.

Great food! Lovely atmosphere, I especially loved the little lamp light and candle, set the scene for a romantic evening really well, the staff were friendly and attentive, I will definitely be going back!

Couldn't fault anything. A perfect dining experience! The food and wine were exquisite, the service was prompt and nothing was too much trouble. We loved the lighting, and the temperature was cosy without being too warm. Would definitely return! Thank you.

Horrible breakfast! Everything very low quality and they say you’ll get ‘fresh orange juice’ but in fact you get one from the concentrate... I paid over £10 for breakfast that is worth £4 tops

An amazing quick lunch with friends. I had a salad with bacon, croutons and a poached egg on top followed by a squash cake sitting on a delicious sauce accompanied by spinach and again a perfectly poached egg on top. All washed down with a glass of white Lagarde wine with an Americano to finish. Loved it!

Food was very good value, staff pleasant, but service a bit slow as not so many staff as usual. Restaurant was a bit cold and drafty.

Always love coming and the food didn’t disappoint. Very good value for money, especially for the quality of food. One of the best restaurant chains I’ve been to. However our waitress was a little cold and not very friendly, this wasn’t helped by her lack of English. Also there were a few flies buzzing around.

We are regulars in several branches, originally because of the excellent range of choice of gluten free food for my wife who is coeliac, but also now because of the choice and excellence of the food and service.

Had a lovely meal. The staff were friendly, but the place was extremely business and service was quite slow. Maybe they were just a bit short on staff. Food excellent. Lovely atmosphere. Would come again maybe for lunch.

Very good experience just finished our exams so decided to go to our favorite place! Too bad Cote doesnt do student discounts tho :(

We had a lovely pre Mother's Day evening meal here on Saturday. We were very happy with the customer service and table service received and look forward to coming here again as this is a yearly tradition. Lovely waiter waited our table most of the evening and had a great sense of humour. The food was exceptional too.

We were able to sit in a booth which was perfect, choice, value for money is excellent on the set menu. Service first class, staff very friendly, welcoming and efficient.

Meal was nice bit the gluten free menu could do with some new things. It’s been the same for a while. Especially the puddings it’s all mousses and things similar

We always enjoy our Meals at the Reading Cote, which has become our Restaurant/Brasserie of Choice, in Berkshire. The quietly cheerful Staff provide excellent service. The Food and Wine are of the best Standards and the price is affordable. Thank you and Well Done!

Chicken and chips then coffee as planned. Restaurant in a rather crowded spot lacking in charm on a busy Friday evening. Staff pleasant.

very good service, good food .It was a monday evening so quiet anyway but enjoyed it .Only issue was that we were near the door end of the restaurant and the lighting was poor we really struggled to read the menu between all 6 of us !

Lovely relaxed atmosphere in a convenient waterside location. The food, as ever, was very enjoyable and the coffee excellent. There were no vegetarian options on the February menu or the specials menu, but enough to choose from on the main menu.

The service was not that great I had muscles and the waitress expected me to use the same cutlery for my main winch was pork not attentive and the starter muscles were gritty I was very disappointed on this ocassion

I met a friend to catch up on things and we decided to do it over lunch. We went to Reading Cote last time we met in Reading. Again Cote provided the ideal environmen, with great food and drimk and prompt and efficient service.

Terrible service and sub Motorway service station quality. Your staff seemed determined to have their Friday chat and when they could be bothered to come over were neither helpful nor attentive.

Found my steak to be very salty cooked well I was looking forward to this the letdown. Staff was very helpful they did say that it would could be another steak

We had a lovely celebratory dinner for my wife's birthday. We were dining with our two small children (aged 6 and 2) and they were made very welcome. We appreciated that the service was really quick so the kids weren't sitting around for ages and didn't have a chance to get bored and restless - that really helped to make the meal a success rather than an endurance test! The food was lovely, as always - I often think that Cote "punches above its weight" - for a chain restaurant I think the standard is very good. We had a lovely time and we'll definitely be back. One small complaint - the side dishes we ordered were very small - we paid £2.95 for carrots and received 5 small carrots to share between 4 of us. Since £3 will buy 5kg of carrots from a supermarket, I'm pretty sure you could be a little more generous without it affecting your profits too much!

The food was great but the service was not so good. They brought us the wrong orders, we asked for fries they brought puree, we asked for steak well done we got bloody steaks, kept us waiting too long etc etc After I complained they brought us the right order and it tasted great. But yeah, maybe they need more staff or something.

We enjoyed a lovely family meal. Our meals were cooked well and tasted great. The deserts were excellent. The service was excellent, very friendly and professional. The only slight complaint was that the table was a little cramped for five adults.

We waited a long time between courses and gave up on the idea of dessert because we waited so long and had tickets to see a film after dinner. As for the food, our starters were so-so and my husband’s main course was disappointing. Mine was delicious though, so I’d recommend the pork belly. I wouldn’t have left a negative review as it was a Saturday night, but Cote sent me an email asking me to comment, so I have.
