Food very tasty and service attentive and friendly. Excellent location and great place to meet up with friends. Waiter noted gluten free and ensured all food appropriate. We will be back, well done.

My boyfriend and I had a lovely brunch at Cote and were very impressed with the breakfast deal to choose any breakfast and get juice and tea alongside for only £9.95.

Food, service ambience all fine - just a bit disappointed that my request for a table suitable for a meeting of 7 old friends who wanted to chat was not heeded - a table in the quieter room upstairs would have been so much more suitable but this was not allocated or offered

This was our 10th visit to Vote Reading. It was just as enjoyable as all the previous visits!! The food staff and ambience were too notch.

Excellent service and delicious food. Realky helpful waiter who looked after us well. My charcuterie was a little sparse but outstanding linguine and the creme caramel was lovely.

Excellent food and service. Only qualm is the tip is meant to be voluntary. It is not as it is added to the bill. When asked to pay you are not asked if you are happy to pay the service charge. It is just put in to the machine. This means you have to argue to remove it. That is by definition not voluntary. For this Cote I would have happily paid 'this voluntarily and did as it was so good. Another Cote we have been to was not so good. You need to review this urgently as your prices are wrong and could be construed as misleading.

Great food as always. Was a really busy night so couldnt have our usual table but the staff were great. We will always go back.

The food was good, portion sizes were perfect, not too much but enough to satisfy you. Service was good and there was never a log wait between courses. Price was very reasonable.

Great meal , excellent value and friendly tolerant service, as we stayed for an extensive meeting after our meal! We were very well looked after and never felt harassed.

Was dining with a friend who has just been diagnosed as Coeliac and the gluten free menu was extensive and the staff very attentive to his needs allowing him to try the bread before decisions were made on menu choices.

Good, but not the best service. When serving food, you should really make an effort to walk around the table and put the plate down in front of the customer, rather than stand at one end and hold it out for the customer to take. Food was prepared quickly and was lovely though...

Our party of 5 dined on a Thursday evening and ate up to 2 or 3 courses each. Generally the food was good. However two sirloins were substandard quality. Service was very good.

Cote in Reading always provides a great experience with excellent food and considerate, professional service. The dishes were well presented and full of flavour. Recommended.

Lovely restaurant, the food was excellent, as was the Kir Royale, and the service was also first class. It was my wife's birthday so they gave us two free glasses of Kir Royale as well.

Meal very nice had calamari for main course which needed to be served in a hot pan as it was cold by the time you finished it resulting in both myself and my guest leaving some. Main course was very good and overall service was good.

One other best Cotes, good service (always seems to be the same waiter and manageress when we go). Good food, drinks and service as we expect from Cote Reading.

Excellent food. Only concern was, having been given our menus at 6.45 which included the special set 2 and 3 course option, when our order was taken we were told we were too late to order from the set menu. Fortunately after challenging this, we were able to order from the set menu.

Delicious food and good service on a very hot evening. The dishes are always consistent and the fish fresh. We will come back again soon.

The food was really great. The best I've had in a very long time. Great variety too. Lovely desserts! Great service too. I wish there were slightly larger portions though, especially for the sides :)

Consistently great quality food, sensibly priced and excellent service with a smile. We return time and time again so it must be good. The only slight downside is that it gets quite noisy on occasions and it is difficult to hold a conversation.

Original reservation made for 6 but then called to increase to 8 people. This not actually reflected when we arrived but not a problem for us.

Waiter was attentive without being obtrusive. Food was hot, delicious and plentiful. Excellent value and very pleasant surroundings. Don't normally like paying 12.5% gratuities (10% is my maximum) but today it was definitely worth it!

Initially making a booking for 15 people was quite t Iomega consuming with staff on the telephone not providing correct e mail addresses. I gave pre orders which was ok. Service on the night was quite good at tthe he beginning of the meal. However after t he main courses the service staff appeared t o disappear from the upstairs dining area , leaving one person t o attend to the whole dining area including our 15 guests. We decided not to have sweets or coffee as we had waited too long and had to seek out the one person serving for the bill. It was my birthday celebration and was disappointed with the service vice. However I left t he service t up of 12.5 % . Just over £38 which did not. Really justify the service were afforded. However food was good and the chefs neeed to be congratulated. I spent a total of £346 on the evening including the tip. OVERALL ON THTHE IS EXPERIENCE WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THE RESTAURANT T O MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY FOR A LARGE GROUP BOOKING. Jack Ewins

Great food, service was a little slow and could do with investing in decent AC. Cote is a reliable brand, for decent food. With a little investment into staff training it could be exceptional! Also a little disappointed there was no disabled toilet, 2 flights of stairs, not great for one of our party who had limited mobility.

Very good with polite staff, found a couple hairs on the glasses but hygiene was good. I think it should be more clear that you can opt out of the tip but staff were very nice and welcoming.

I am generally a fan of Cote Brasserie restaurants, mainly in London. We had a good meal but not a great meal - everything could have been just a little bit better: service was OK but a bit slow, food was OK but could have been hotter, bill paying and departure was OK but didn't make us think that we must come back.

Always reliable, always good food, always good service. I would like to see a more frequent menu change though, as it tends to stay the same.

Waiter was nice, steaks cooked perfectly, good selection of wines and didnt feel rushed, very glad to pay the service charge and hope it will go to the team

good food good service nice restaurant by river would go again - recommend good choice of food on menu - they left us alone to gossip which was refreshing!

Really pleasant atmosphere and good service - food excellent, being just that bit further along from the noisier eateries in Reading adds to the experience
