Amazing night, dinner was spectacular! I love the atmosphere too,

Restaurant was lovely and all decorated for Christmas classic but cosy atmosphere.

Lovely meal, great French onion soup, Steak was great. Staff are really nice, great service.

The food was delicious and the waiting staff were brilliant.

Definitely my restaurant of choice, whether it is just to meet a friend or join a larger group. Whatever the occasion this is where we come.

Table was ready as expected, food was great and service was excellent. We had a very enjoyable evening. There was an issue with the fryer we were told about straight away hence some items were not available but that didn’t cause a problem.

I visit every couple of months & have never been disappointed by anything. The welcome you get when you arrive, the polite, professional & smiling staff is superb. The food is excellent. An awful lot of restaurants could learn from Cote at Reading, it’s first class, thank you.

Excellent food and great service made for a nice date night.

We were seated but after 15mins of waiting for our order to be taken, we weren’t even acknowledged so sadly we left.

We had a very pleasant and relaxed lunch. The menu of the day was astonishingly good value, with good variety, and portions appropriate for lunch. The service was friendly and prompt, but we were not rushed as we wanted to talk even though it was full. Even though the Reading branch is in a shopping centre, it had a nice atmosphere with a good view of the River Kennet, which made it seem bright even though the day was quite grey. Overall, it felt a good place to hold a business meeting, but would also be good for a family meal.

Food is consistently good at these restaurants and the staff attentive. The early evening menus are of good value. Like going to the Cote restaurants.

We've been coming for years as the food has always been lovely! Sadly of late it seems to have slipped somewhat! Food was reasonably bland, and staff were either too busy or simply inattentive. Not sure we'll be returning again.

Wrong main order course. Had to ask for the correct course to be kept warm whilst mistake was rectified. Food was all very good. However, a good experience had the edge taken off of it by mistake. Staff dealt with the issue competentlyn

It was my daughters birthday, they wanted to order the two course meal for £11:95 but they weren't offered this, I arranged for a Birthday Cake to be given but it would have been nice to ask them if they wanted a desert prior to bringing the cake out. They had the Steak for £11:95 and could have had two course for this. I think maybe because they were 5 girls aged 15 / 16. I also asked for glasses of orange juice for them on arrival and I would have been nice to have this on the house as a Birthday treat as glasses of sparkling wine are given to adults for Birthdays... We frequently eat at Cote but I think its a shame my daughter didn't receive the same level of attention on her special day as an adult.. I am quite sad about that.

The staff are very good always there to help if needed. Food comes fast and is normally good. It’s 1 of my favourite restaurants. Keep up the good work.

There was a good atmosphere on a Friday night - although it was quite noisy. All the staff were very friendly and helpful - our waitress was very knowledgeable about the new menu which had been introduced only that day. Food was very good quality and good value for money

Cote (Reading specifically) always has great service and good food. The food is always cooked right and served at the right time.

The food was nothing special and very underwhelming. The risotto looked disgusting. It felt like 2 days old and reheated. The presentation of it was awful. It looked like puke. The desert “chocolate fondant” was served perfectly fine and tasted very good for me but for my friend it was completely cold. It felt like it was pulled out straight from the fridge to the table. I was a little bit surprised that they didn’t offer us the Deseret for free after everything. The only good thing there is the atmosphere. Definitely not going there again soon.

Really excellent service. We took our 3 month old son and were given a perfect table for us. Our waiter was really lovely and the food was delicious!

My son is a coeliac, and the wonderful service he got was unlike anything we've had anywhere else. I mentioned it when booking, so when we turned up they brought him a gluten-free menu, and all the dishes they brought out for him had a gluten-free flag stuck in them. There was a good choice, and all his food was just as nice as mine. There was also no cross-contamination, as for once he didn't end the meal bloated. A wonderful experience, and we will definitely go again!

Excellent meal from the early evening menu. Wonderful atmosphere and wonderful service.

Superb food (steak in particular cooked to perfection), wine good, polite and generally attentive waiting staff, pleasant ambience. Appreciated water being brought to the table without request. The wait to settle the bill was a little long - otherwise, very happy with the experience and will definitely return.

Despite being very busy in the restaurant I still had an excellent meat served by efficient and friendly staff

Very friendly welcome. Great choice of food. The restaurant was busy but staff attentive and nice break between courses. Food was excellent. Hake special superb and the October special dessert.

THE only reason for not giving more stars is that the service was slow. It was our first time at Reading Cote but we have been to several others. The food was good and what we expect from Cote but more staff are needed to provide the service I would expect, especially with an automatic 12.5 % service charge.

Mains, starters and wine were great. But our olives, were forgotten and only arrived after we asked a couple of times, so we cancelled (but still charged!). Although we booked we were allocated a poor table (with a sofa by the door) while walk ins were given good tables; we complained & had to wait for a good table. So mixed experience.

The food was delicious and the service was excellent and friendly.
