Very good service but very disappointing goats cheese salad. Loads of lettuce, no dressing and in a deep bowl that made it impossible to eat.

Excellent breakfast - freshly cooked and full of flavour - great value as well.

Food was lovely and the staff were very nice. Unfortunately due to the increased trade that they experience on the run up to Christmas, you could only book the table for two hours. Normally we would stay longer. They were very nice about it but it did put a damper on the evening

We always enjoy coming to Côte in Reading. The service is superb and non-fussy, the food is excellent and good value, and the environment is convivial. There was flexibility within the fixed menu to accommodate those among us with dietary requirements, which was much appreciated. Thank you again for hosting our work's Christmas do! We felt very well looked after.

Meal was lovely. Service was reasonably good. Nice atmosphere. BUT technical glitch with card machine meant that it was declining all customers payments. After waiting for nearly half an hour for Cote to try to sort it out, had to go to cash machine to get cash to pay for the meal. A hassle considering it was 5 of us. This spoilt the end of the evening, and the managers didn’t really know what to do. Technical glitches can occur and I think the restaurant could have been more prepared and know what to do in this situation.

Fantastic staff, mouth watering food - literally our go to restaurant

Delicious meal presented very nicely which was very nice considering it was reasonably priced (pork belly with potato gratin). Lighting in the restaurant is comfortable and creates a nice environment. The complimentary cocktail was an impacting factor in choosing to visit and definitely worth it. However the overall experience was let down by slow service and the staff did not seem too happy despite it not being extremely busy.

This is usually one of my favourite restaurants, however my starter was not very hot (and should have been) and my steak was more blue/rare than medium rare. Very disappointed - which is unusual for cote ☹️

I got to Cote at least once a month. I understand the restaurant was very busy but the service was very slow. They kept forgetting our drinks, but they gave us a bottle of sparkling to apologise which was very kind.

Well organised (especially liked the pre-order online system!). Table all set up when we arrived. Even thought it was extremely busy drinks orders were taken (water only the table too) and food brought out promptly at regular intervals. We had an addition to our group who hadn’t pre-ordered and her food order was flame she our starters were being handed out but her food arrived very quickly. Lovely food - just enough (for me anyway) and good choice. It was a bit noisy though (which we also found last year when we were downstairs).

I made a poor choice of food, as I am on a diet. We were seated near the door and a cold draft made me feel cold throughout the time I was there.

Consistently good service, small problem with my steak was rectified Immediately with a smile.

The food was delicious and the serving was excellent however the place is so noisy that we had to shout in order to hear each other. It obviously made our dining experience quite challenging. This is definitely due to the poor acoustic design within the dining area and needs serious consideration.

As usual Our Christmas celebration with friends was really enjoyable at Côte. The service was good, although our waitress was quite inexperienced & didn’t know to chill the Rose wine & wanted to fill glasses too full & too often. The food was very tasty and well cooked. We ate off both the usual menu & the Christmas menu and the cheeseboard was particularly generous and delicious.

Fabulous friendly service- great choice of breakfast- there’s no where else we’d rather be for a post Santa run celebration!

Another lovely meal at Cote, Reading. I love the duck it is one of your best dishes and the creme caramel is divine. (Could use a bigger portion of cream though.)

Very nice diner thanks - I loved the tartare starter and scallops + black pudding. Very friendly and efficient staff, fast service. only issue was noise level, very high in a busy restaurant of this size. Some segmentation - noise absorbing walls may help here.

I'm yet to be disappointed by Cote Reading. Good food and good service 😊
