Excellent customer service. Our waiter was very attentive and the atmosphere was pleasant.

Welcome was a bit lacking as the first greeting was that we couldn’t have a free cocktail unless eating a la carte. I booked with cote because they offered a free cocktail when browsing on line so I mentioned this in the booking details. Waitresses were brusque and leant over my friend and her food to deliver mine instead of walking around. Felt unprofessional and lazy.

Good service and food is always very good staff very friendly and accommodating.

Was a lovely meal, but we was only able to choose from the valentines menu, and not the main menu as well, which was very limiting.

Wonderful menu with extremely friendly and helpful staff. We visit for valentine's Day and anniversaries every year and feel so looked after. Cote brasserie Reading will always be a part of our occasion dinners!

We arrived at 6.45pm with a cranky toddler and all staff members were very accommodating and made us feel better about the noise she was making! For a Wednesday night, the restaurant was very lively and had a great atmosphere

Hello, I would just like to say thank you for hosting BMI Group for our lunch on Tuesday 11 February at 12.30 - the service and food were fantastic and everything came out on time and very smoothly. We had excellent service and we all enjoyed the lunch and atmosphere. Hopefully see you next time we have another event.

The staff are always very good at there roll in the restaurant & as we been going to this Côte Brassiere for a number of years the staff get to know you which is good. We normally have a steak 🥩 frites & normally are cooked good but this time very over done & very dry i should of complained but i didn’t because didn’t want to because of family🤔

Rather cold in the window seats but otherwise food good. Service good and value for money good.

Excellent service. I took my grandson there for breakfast and we were made to feel very welcome. Breakfast was very nice.

An interesting way to mark New Year's Day! Helpful staff allowed us to order Blood Orange Salad even though it wasn't on our menu. However, it was made from ordinary oranges not blood oranges. The real surprise came when we both ordered Galette des Rois for dessert - a dish we know well as we are French/British. We were brought part-frozen meat and potato pies served with custard and ice cream!!! The apologetic staff opened another box and found the right desserts, which we enjoyed and our bill was reduced accordingly.

Glad to see the food, service and standards are as good in 2020 as in previous years

Been every time we come to Reading Always great and god value

I've been coming to Cote for years, it's by far my favourite restaurant because of how original it's remained, how classy yet causal and how balanced between quality and price it is - the menu you hasn't changed much (despite the monthly/seasonal specials) but this is good as meals become more refined everytime they leave the kitchen. I asked specify for a valentine's Day suprise for my partner and I and they definitely pulled through. To both the staff and the chef's, thank you ❤️

Food and service was excellent. The offer of a complementary aperitif was taken up but would have much preferred and valued a complementary bottle of wine. The restaurant was very noisy.

A glass of warm Chablis was quickly exchanged and the serlion was ok, but not brilliant. Service excellent as usual and the wine list is certainly above average. It was a good evening overall 😎

On checking the bill afterwards I see you added an "optional" gratuity. I didn't realise this, and left a gratuity on the table. So you have been tipped twice. I feel this practice is a little underhand and has taken the gloss off an otherwise enjoyable evening.

On balance, I got the feeling that our group enjoyed the meal and the restaurant in general. However, I was surprised that we were seated downstairs. I had been told that we would be seated upstairs where it should have been less noisy. The only adverse comment that I can recall was that the pasta was undercooked but that might be a style issue.

From the moment we walked in, we were treated exceptionally well. Where we were sitting, we were a bit chilly, but the staff went out of their way to help us with another table. The restaurant was full, but as soon as a table became vacant we were moved, nothing was too much trouble. The food and service was excellent. It was our wedding anniversary, and this experience made it extra special.

The food was lovely and the service was good but the restaurant was really cold. We mentioned it a couple of times but were told the heating was on full.

Nice atmosphere, nice food and friendly staff. Didn’t have to rush either course and there was a decent enough gap between courses to allow the food to digest!

As usual everything was great. While I enjoyed it, I would not order the Pisaladiere with Reblochon again. I had the belly pork which was great and then finished off with the excellent crepe praline.

this restaurant is by far one of my favourites in Reading , I’ve dined here over 20 times and never had a bad meal, Managers and Staff are always excellent and professional

An excellent meal with friendly and efficient service. We had some problems on our last visit but this occasion made up for that disappointment. Back on our list with the Cote restaurants we regularly enjoy.
