Côte Oxford

Had booked a post theatre dinner and wasn’t disappointed. It was busy but the service was excellent and the food was delicious. There was a great atmosphere, buzzy but not too loud, and good value. Would definitely go back.

The blonde lady who served us were brilliant, friendly and attentive, understands the customer from start to finish. Food was delicious as always

The staff are always very professional and the food is consistently good. Have eaten at Cote in excess of 30 times and only ever had one bad meal, a very overcooked pork belly in the Bluewater restaurant in Kent. Other than that, it has been ten out of ten every time.

This was a very good meal -from the first greeting to the farewell every member of staff was welcoming, attentive and professional. The food was delicious and well presented. Not sure how Côte manage to get such consistently high standards for both staff and food but well done to all involved. We will always look for a Côte if we are visiting a new place or just want to have a great meal. Thank you for an excellent meal.

Another wonderful Cote lunch - this time to celebrate our anniversary. Excellent service and marvellous food (as always) and the special treat offered by the team helped make our special day an event. Full marks to Cote Oxford!

Very attentive and friendly staff. Food and drinks were promptly delivered but we did not feel rushed at any point. When a steak needed a little extra cooking to taste, it was swiftly seen to. We all enjoyed our meals. Great evening.

Could have done without two ladies who had piercing voices giving the whole room their life story and whether they would run out of money. Not the Restaurants fault, but irritating.

Good choice of brasserie style food well cooked and served promptly by well trained staff. Nice venue, busy but not so noisy that you can't hear each other. Choose from Early menu dependant upon time, Prestige Set menu or A la Carte- all good.

The food and wine were excellent as usual, but there didn’t seem to be enough staff to cater for all the customers. But still enjoyable, and won’t stop me coming again soon.

We had a lovely early evening meal for my mothers 70th birthday. Service and food was exceptional, she had a wonderful meal as did we all. Thank you

Oxford cote was having problems with its gas supply when we arrived for Sunday lunch. The manager explained that there might be a delay but we accepted this and settled at our table. Within a few minutes bread and olives arrived “on the house”. A nice gesture which made the wait seem not long at all. Thank you oxford cote.

We have never been disappointed when dining at Cote and find it very good value. The menus always have something for everyone and the food is excellent.

We are Cote regulars but this is the first time we’ve eaten from the Prestige menu. Most of the choices were dishes that used to be on the normal fixed price menu. Good choice of mains but there were no salad options on the starters which is weird as the cheaper fixed price menu had 2 salad starters. That said, good was good and service efficient, friendly but not over bearing. Not much atmosphere - only a couple of other tables taken - but it was 4 pm on a Thursday

A late night supper that was served well and efficiently. The April specials are very good particularly the Cote de Veau. A spoiled wine was dealt with happily.

Very nice food, very nice complementary cocktails, a different table found for us when requested, very good gluten free options available, understanding (of gluten free needs) waiter, food arrived promptly (pre-theatre dinner). All good

The starters were OK, just mediocre, the risotto which we have had many times before was highly peppered and had clumps of rice rather than individual grains. Perhaps a new chef? the staff were apologetic and gave us free coffee's. Coffee and dessert was fine, on the other hand not much to go wrong with ice cream! The staff were attentive and concerned about our less than perfect meal.

Another great meal at Cote Brasserie Oxford. My 11 year old coeliac son was well catered for - numerous gluten-free choices, knowledgeable staff, and clearly labelled GF food to eliminate potential confusion during service. Service was warm, friendly and accomodating. A really lovely evening.

Brilliant steak. My father massively enjoyed the fish stew too and as I put it was my birthday when booking the table, we all received an apertif which was very nice. Service was perfect and overall a good birthday dinner.

The waitress was very knowledgeable and gave good advice about the menu and wine to accompany the meal choices. The Gluten Free menu was extensive with plenty of choice. The whole experience was very enjoyable.

Disappointed that the advertised special "Frisee de Lardons" was only available as part of the cheaper set menu- when I asked for it I was told I couldn't have it even though there was no main on the menu that I would eat! Not what I would call good service. Restaurant was busy and so noisy that you couldn't hear across the table- the acoustics are dreadful and not helped by a server who spoke loudly.

Fab value for money and good service. We Went early to take advantage of the set menu. Easy to find in the centre of Oxford on George st.

Had an absolutely lovely meal! The staff were brilliant, we were a group of 7 celebrating something and were unexpectedly welcomed with a complimentary glass of fizz, followed by excellent and friendly service and fantastic food.

We came to Oxford on Friday for dinner 10 of uas and Cote staff at Oford could not have been more helpful to make our evening special. I dropped some balloons off earlier I the day and they even helped with where I could get them blown up. We were in a semi private room which was perfect. Food was delicious and staff were great, group of 10 can be tricky but the staff made it super easy and it all went well. Thank you so much

Lovely free gin with cucumber - great mood and occasion enhancer - thanks so much Cote for this treat. Lamb and steak great - all presented beautifully and tasted great. House red always a joy. Crepes with grand marnier looked great and a flaming spectacle - but cold!!! Despite the flames! Who wants cold pancakes? Only jarring note in otherwise fab meal...

Lovely restaurant and great staff. Unfortunately this is the second time I have eaten here and had gristle through my steak. Staff bent over backwards to help so customer service superb however I did not wish to have a replacement as I would not have eaten it all. Disappointedas was there to celebrate a birthday

Enjoy visiting Cote in Oxford but do believe they should look into introducing sound absorbing materials because noise level is very high. Another point is I believe the Optional Gratuity should be 10%, not 12.5% when you consider it also applies to the increased cost of wine which is not part of the customers service experience.

Always a lovely meal at Cote. We had a table need some people that were being very loud, otherwise, it was excellent. The coupe noir ice cream had melted a bit and was therefore softer than usual not making the normally lovely contrast between the ice cream and the hot sauce.

As always, fantastic breakfast. We’ve been going to Cotê for years and have always enjoyed their breakfast.

The food was top quality. Quick service and our server attended to all our needs. The poulet breton was tender and made just right. And the creme caramel was the best we have had in a long time. Very good experience and highly recommended
