Côte Oxford

The Cote restaurant in OXFORD provided us with excellent service. The staff were pleasant and helpful and the food was 5*. We would recommend this to all.

On a busy Mothers Day lunch Cote Oxford provided an excellent service. We chose from the Sunday menu and the chicken was served with green beans and potatoes. An enjoyable occasion.

Went there for dinner! Nice atmosphere, excellent service. very tasty starters and the lamb was cooked as we asked for it! definitely would go back there.

Great restaurant. Made to welcome and the service was prompt and patient while we all made up our mind. The food was enjoyed by all of us including the two children. The bill was reasonable considering the quality and quantity we consumed? Thoroughly recommend Cotes of Oxford.

Lunch in Amersham was preferable to the Brunch. Strange Eggs Royal, very little smoked salmon and too much Hollandaise sauce. Service was very good, friendly and efficient.

Service and food was excellent. Attentive staff and quick turn around times. However, a lot of items on the menu was not available l, which was a bit disappointing.

Cote never disappoints; solidly consistent great French food at amazing value. Definitely go for the duck confit, the risotto vert is also terrific and VERY filling.

Really nice atmosphere, super fast service and delicious food. We were really happy with everything we ordered and as one plate was taken away it was replaced with the next course. If there are any criticisms at all, it would only be that the service was so fast we didn't properly relax into conversation like we usually do going out for dinner and they add 12.5% tip to the bi automatically - we usually pay a tip anyway but it might make some people uncomfortable that they can't choose their own tip unless they want to have an awkward confrontation with a waiter to ask them to take it off. Otherwise will definitely come back!

We were extremely pleased with our visit to Cotes. The food was excellent and the service very good. We are looking forward to our next visit on the 24 March and will be taking a couple of our friends.

Excellent staff food service all a very high standard it was my 70th birthday and everyone really rose to the occasion cant fault anything we already visit every year wish we could get here more often thank you .

Excellent food and very easily priced. The set menu is especially good value. Service is quick and friendly. The only downside is that the restaurant gets very noisy when full, making conversation difficult.

Great restaurant, usually very consistent but tonight they brought me out the wrong main. They were very apologetic, but I did have to watch my wife eat most of her meal before my correct main arrived. Bit disappointed, but I did get fed in the end!

Food and service was very good - nothing to fault with that. Only small grumble was that we went in at the beginning of a popular eating time and the noise levels were pretty high, and very little privacy.

Warm welcoming atmosphere with an excellent menu. The French onion soup is wonderful. Thoroughly recommend the March specials of steak au poivre and grilled swordfish with tarte tatin to finish.

Arrived just before 20.00, not very busy. Ordered mostly seafood and a bottle of red wine. Nice food and wine, excellent service. Good value for money.

Excellent food and service.The first course of mint pea soup tasted home made. The main course, chicken chasseur,was really tasty and the creme caramel was to die for.

We have been to Cote Brasserie on several occasions and have always received excellent service and fine food. The staff are very attentive without being over-bearing and the atmosphere, without background music, is enjoyable. Excellent Gluten-free menu for those who need it for health reasons. Will definitely book a return visit.

Lovely meal, good service, glad we booked as even at 2.30 in the afternoon the restaurant was really busy but that didn't stop us having an enjoyable meal.

Loved this restaurant. I have only given it a 5 because they had run out of the wine we wanted and my first choice of main (both were on the July specials menu). The food we had was delicious and the service good, too.

We really enjoyed our meal at Cote Brasserie. It was a busy evening for the restaurant but the service was good and the food excellent. We were very impressed with the wide range of fish choices on the menu and the fish stew was particularly good.

The establishment was very busy especially for an early Sunday evening, but I imagine that was due to its proximity to the Tgeatre. Staff were very accommodating and pleasant. We were served promptly, the menus explained clearly. The food was very good, appetising,tasty and hot. We were also pleasantly surprised by the bill! We would definitely recommend this restaurant and we can see it being our default Theatre restaurant in Oxford.

Lovely meal, great service. Only slight downside is the closeness of the tables, but at least this means there is a good atmosphere. Will definitely be visiting again.

Cote is always good, it was nice to have a free bottle of wine. It's great to find somewhere that you can have a late supper!

Good value, great service and delicious food. A friendly fun and well managed place to eat. We eat there several times a month before a visit to the theatre.

Busy, busy, busy. But staff helpful and friendly. Food as good as always. Got the wrong first course, but rectified quickly. Highly recommended for pre-theatre meal or longer interlude.

Food was fantastic- but they automatically add 12.5% tip to the bill which I think should really be at the customers discretion. My waiter was not that great so I wouldn't have tipped, but felt pressured into it.

We had an excellent meal at the buzzy Oxford Brasserie. The set menu is really good value. The service is fast. Try a glass of Blanc De blanc.

Very conveniently placed for the New Theatre. The staff very friendly and efficient. A reasonable variety of dishes on the menu and the food looked good and tasted good. Quite reasonably priced.

The food was really good, even though the restaurant was busy, the food came out on time and hot... the only downfall I had, was the optional tip that gets automatically added to the bill. This can be easily missed. Ours came to nearly £8... I have no issues giving tips to staff that I feel gave me expectional service, but we were served by 3 different people, so a little difficult, plus I would Prefer to give my own tip, then feeling pressured to give... takes away from the experience when you have to ask for the automated tip to be removed. But otherwise no other issues

My friends and I always have lunch at Cote before going to the theatre. The service is excellent, the food is excellent, the atmosphere is excellent, the prices are excellent. As we eat there so often we are becoming regulars.

Food lovely. Disappointed to see a "optional" service charge added to the bill, difficult to see. When will restaurants learn, we don't want to pay it as it doesn't go to the staff.

Delicious food and prompt, friendly service. Our table was not immediately available so we were given complimentary kir royales while we waited just 5 minutes. Excellent value.
