Always a wonderful experience at cote. Very friendly staff, a relaxing atmosphere even when quite busy and beautiful food! Can't wait to see what next month's specials are!
Not a good table considering we had booked in advance. Very crowded with insufficient staff. Had to be reminded to bring the wine ordered. Friendly service if slow. Good value set lunch and food appetising and well cooked. Good selection of mid priced wines. Great desserts. Coffee served lukewarm.
We Booked On line and our table was ready for us to go strait to. Which I excellent as I don't like to be kept waiting in a door way!. The Service was Very Good, and the food was marvellous.
Food and staff excellent, but the layout of the building is difficult and lavatories are very small and not accessible to all as they are downstairs., the ladies was also untidy with paper towels lying around.
Excellent all round service, quality of food, ambience. Value for money. Will definitely use this restaurant again whether visiting Oxford or another town or city
Enjoyed a lovely lunch in Oxford with some very dear friends. Excellent quality of food, good service and value for money. A pleasant bit of banter with the waiter also - thank you!
Restaurant was very good and we are regulars. Quandoo did not help by sending an e mail at 6pm indicating our reservation at 10pm had been cancelled by the restaurant. I called the manager and that was not the case. Very inconvenient and no explanation or apology yet from Quandoo.
All staff were very friendly and welcoming. Good choice of food on the menu and all our party of six thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Highly recommended.
Very good food and very friendly staff and excellent service. Lovely atmosphere. Centrally situated in Oxford. Very enjoyable relaxing evening before walking back to our hotel.
Lovely venue, the staff were really accommodating and helpful and the food was excellent. The Oxford Restaurant is in a great location right in the centre of town.
Although the food was good, the service Thursday lunchtime was very slow. This is unusual and the front of house staff seemed to be working hard. Was there a problem in the kitchen?
Great food, quick service. Seating area slightly cramped, but no real interference with other guests. Service was friendly, but not intrusive. Quick clearing of tables.
Excellent and quick service. Beautiful food. Busy city centre restaurant so make sure you book. Always has a good buzz. Ideal for pre-theatre dinner visit
Had the set lunch. Very good choice of dishes. Really enjoyed the food and great value for money. Service very friendly and efficient. Would love to visit again.
Very good restaurant quick service on a Saturday night, great wine offer on at the moment what else can I say to get to 25?
This restaurant is always very busy so best to book especially on Saturday night. In fact we had booked but had to wait a while for our table but we were given a complimentary drink while we waited. The only thing is the restaurant is small and there is no seating area to wait and you end up stood in the doorway or passage. However, excellent meals of Belly pork and steak and very good service made up for it. Service charge is on the bill but I'm not sure if waiters get it or not as forgot to ask. I noticed there is a set lunch for around £10 so worth trying that out. We will go again.
My dinner with 5 colleagues went very well last night. It was easy to make and change my reservation. Each of us were quite happy with our food varying from risotto to steak. The noise level was fine for making conversation. The waiters were too busy and so the ordering and waiting for orders did take too long. But happy to go back.
Called in for a pre-theatre supper and took advantage of the two-course meal offer. There was a good selection. Service was a little slow at the start - we waited ten minutes to place a drink order, by staff were friendly, food was well cooked and nicely presented. We were happy with our meal.
Lovely "ladies who lunch" prior to a bit of culture at the Oxford Literary Festival. Good food, happy efficient service, what more could we want.
We were a party of 6 in for a pre-theatre dinner on a Saturday night. My partner's steak, cooked rare, was stone cold in the middle, but they were very good about doing a new one. It was cooked beautifully and arrived quite quickly, considering how busy they were. And they didn't charge us for it. Couldn't have done any more to make amends. All the other food was great.
The restaurant was busy but we were greeted and shown to a table quickly. When I gave the name on our booking the waiter remembered that one of our group wanted a vegan menu. As always at Cote the food was delicious and the fixed price menu is excellent value.
Food was excellent, staff very friendly and helpful, and the service was good even though it was a very busy evening. Would go there again.
Bery buzzy atmosphere Good service and Luke is sich a nice polite and helpful young man The pork dish was delicious but the skin eas inedoble. Needs removing and crisping seperately Hazel Lane
Welcome, food and drink as good as ever. I find Côte is always a good experience. Crab mayonnaise and cod goujons were delicious and served by a friendly waitress.
Great experience. Good food, well prepared/ cooked and presented. Professional service. Very welcoming atmosphere. We highly recommend, we'll be booiking and going again. Value for money.
Excellent food as always , quick service and friendly, professional staff We enjoyed the house wine and will be coming back soon , for breakfast !
Lunch in Amersham was preferable to the Brunch. Strange Eggs Royal, very little smoked salmon and too much Hollandaise sauce. Service was very good, friendly and efficient.
6/6!! Absolutely delicious! Service was great and just overall one of my favourite places to eat! Hands down one of the best restaurants in Oxford.
The Cote restaurant in OXFORD provided us with excellent service. The staff were pleasant and helpful and the food was 5*. We would recommend this to all.
Went there for dinner! Nice atmosphere, excellent service. very tasty starters and the lamb was cooked as we asked for it! definitely would go back there.
Great restaurant. Made to welcome and the service was prompt and patient while we all made up our mind. The food was enjoyed by all of us including the two children. The bill was reasonable considering the quality and quantity we consumed? Thoroughly recommend Cotes of Oxford.
Staff were very friendly and the service was prompt, the only reason they didn't get full marks was because the food wasn't quite as hot as it should have been.
On a busy Mothers Day lunch Cote Oxford provided an excellent service. We chose from the Sunday menu and the chicken was served with green beans and potatoes. An enjoyable occasion.
Great restaurant with quality food! We had a very pleasant lunch, special thanks to the staff. Good menu with plenty of specials also. Average prices for drinks.
Very pleasant and comfortable surroundings, friendly and effecient staff, food was very good and the service was good as the timings between the courses was just right, most enjoyable lunch.
Late afternoon visit and the first time at Cote. Had the special set menu which was excellent value .with a good range of choices . Service was friendly and professional
Went out of their way to make it rest for my mums birthday. Flowers on table, champagne, confetti and great food! Highly recommend! Will be going back
friendly efficient staff, food as usual, good. I messed my booking time up but it was no problem,it was sorted quickly with some humour so very satisfied.
Big fan of this restaurant but felt disappointed with the goats cheese salad ...especially the presentation ..did not like the large glass bowl to much lettuce only one round of goats cheese which seemed swamped by all the other stuff ..would have been better seved on a flatter dish witk rocket and leaf salad maybe beetroot ???? Other dishes were superb and the service was excellent ..thank you
Usually very good at Cote, but they forgot to put sugar in the crème brulee mixture, so it tasted very bland. They were good enough to remove that dessert from the bill.
Good food as usual. Responsive to our timing for the theatre, but a bit of a rush at the end. Well placed for theatre and George Street, Oxford.
We went late on Mother's Day when you could expect the staff to be tired and grumpy. They weren't. Excellent meal, great service and a nice atmosphere. Thank you, we will return.
Very good food and excellent service. Calamari were very soft, the duck breast delicious. Our free bottle of wine, the Cote de Rhone, was good.
We had such a lovely lunch, I had asked the guys to leave a little personal message on a card for my friend whom I invited for lunch. They did more than that, flowers were waiting at our table, what a lovely gesture, we had the best day and I would like to thank the Team for a great service with such a personal touch...100% kate x
we arrived early. place was very busy. lots dirty tables so seemed understaffed. bad layout. no where to stand at entrance and food being brought out right past people standing at the door - not hygienic. Friendly manager and waitress. Food was ok - chicken and walnut salad lacked beans and walnuts Desserts were poor. Had never been before and really wouldn't go again. Work dinner for 6. No atmosphere. Tables too close - beside us was table of 2 and they may as well have been part of our group as they were so close.
Lunch with my colleagues. Excellent food but music too loud for relaxed talk. Will return again and also recommend for others. Lunch menu was excellent.
Lovely food and good atmosphere. Staff seemed attentive and polite after what had already been a long day for them. Clean and welcoming and would go back.
Pleasant atmosphere. Fixed price lunch good value as ever. 3 courses, bottle wine and 2 coffees came to £50 for two. Staff very attentive and police as ever.
An excellent meal, served well and sensibly priced. A good range of starters and mains. Weekend specials are good value for money. Recommended. Book in advance.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, there was a lot to choose from on the Menu and once the food arrived it was delicious.
