Côte Oxford

Request for a quiet table was fulfilled. Hosting was great: other guests shown to table after I'd arrived. Prompt, but unobstrusive, service (we also used our free wine voucher, and Chardonnay was delicious). Waitress turned down heating without us asking. Good range of a la carte options and we all enjoyed it.

Excellent service, very friendly. Food was lovely as usual. You know what you are getting when you go to Cote and we always have an enjoyable meal.

We love this place. The French-style food is excellent, with a wide choice, and lighter bites are available if you don't want a heavy meal. The waiters are very friendly. If you come before 12.00 on a weekday or before 1.00 at weekends, you can have the breakfast menu, which has a different selection of delicious items.

Very courteous staff. Portions sizes are large on set menu. Maybe less quantity and higher quality and more veggie. Convenient for city centre and cinemas/ theatre.

Service not as good as previous visits. Had to ask for usual complimentary water, ordered wine which was just put in bucket without even pouring one glass. Food very good as usual just felt they were busy and the service suffered.

Great start to our theatre evening. A warm welcome, a glass of Kir Royale, good service, delicious food and wine, especially the creme caramel. We will be back!

A visit to Cote is always so consistent, the food, the service, the staff and ambiance. Will look forward to the next time - soon I hope.

SIMPLY the best restaurant .. always greeted smiling faces I eat regularly in the cote in oxford . Always someone to say thank when you leave . Any quries whist dining are promptly addressed with no problems ..

Love this restaurant, my favourite in Oxford. Fantastic food, happy professional staff and always a great atmosphere. I've used this restaurant before going to the theatre and the service for the pre theatre dinner is always spot on.

Starter took a long time to come. Not enough waiters Food and atmosphere were good but some plainer options and calorie indications would have been helpful.

Went on a Saturday night and every table was taken. Thankfully we had booked a few weeks before. Our party of 7 were well looked after. The Food was very good value and delicious. Everyone cleared their plates. Would definitely go back

Really good service and great food. The staff were friendly and welcoming and especially was greatful for the gluten free menu options that were similar to the a la carte menu

Disappointing. Several dishes were "off". The dishes we had were less appetising than usual, though edible. We asked the waiter if the chef was having problems. He merely looked embarrassed. We hope that this was a one-off experience, as we are normally very happy to dine here

Excellent food, delighted to have received an email for a free bottle of wine, and lovely staff - our Hungarian waiter in particular! Always look forward to eating there.

Fab meal and environment, Sunday night was not to busy and we had a fantastic time. lovely food and great ambiance. Price was not to expensive either

Food was very good, staff were nice, but we waited too long between courses and our table, which was supposed to seat six, was definitely too cramped.

We went to Cote Brasserie in Oxford for pre-theatre dinner on Monday night. We arrived late due to a major traffic holdup, but we were served quickly and efficiently so we were still on time to see the show. We started with the goat's cheese ratatouille which was delicious. My husband and son had the rabbit parmentier as their main, and loved it. It was packed with tasty chunks of rabbit, and very unusual to find on a menu these days - so greatly appreciated. I had the chicken and walnut salad which was absolutely delicious. So, altogether, another very good experience at Cote!

I and my guest had a thoroughly delicious lunch with a good standard of service. Everything was just as it should be. We will definitely be returning.

Excellent service. The food was good though the main course took a little too long to arrive. And the best fish sold out which was sad.

Elegant surroundings, great menu, good switched-on staff, quiet music (thank you!), and a most delicious meal. Effortlessly gluten free and dairy free too, which was an added pleasure.

We have dined here on a number of occasions and have always had a wonderful experience. The menu offers variety, the food is exquisite and the service is exceptional. the restaurant offers a warm ambience with very friendly and courteous staff. Once trying this restaurant you will not want to dine anywhere else in Oxford.

Lovely serving staff, friendly, attentive and fun. The food was exceptional, I had the same food in a sister restaurant last week and it was nothing like so good .Both my grandson and myself had a thoroughly enjoyable evening, highly recommended

Excellent service, food delicious and hot. Good atmosphere and good value for money. We were visiting the theatre afterwards and didn't have long to order a dessert but the staff made sure we got this in time to eat it before heading off.

We visited Cote Oxford on Friday 5th January 2018 and had fantastic meal with friends before going to the Theatre, we will definitely be back.

This was my first visit to Côte Oxford, having been to Newbury and Bath establishments. Service, friendliness and quality of food, as always, is exceptional.

The restaurant was busy but we still received great service. The staff are well organised and the food is great value for money and delicious.

Staff and food excellent but very cramped Tables are too close but would still recommend. Ideal for quick meal or just for relaxing. Would go again. Need to book.

I was catching up with a friend over dinner. The food was absolutely splendid: good portions and just the right amount of seasoning! The filtered water was complimentary too.

From an extensive menu we enjoyed a variety of dishes, good sized portions, and well presented. The food was good and the service was excellent.

Food was fine - they gave us a table which partly blocked stairs to the bathrooms so we kept being interupted by people going to bathroom - Also I don't have s problem tipping 12.5 percent but think it's a bit rich when it's included as s service charge for a table of 3

great food, great service. We were in and out quite quickly which was fine, but had to wait a good 25 minutes for our starters which was a bit tedious.The restaurant was full at 6.00pm on a Friday evening so important to book.

Visited Cote with a group of friends after a shopping trip to Oxford and having a meal there rounded off a great day. We all agreed the food was delicious, the staff pleasant, attentive despite the restaurant being busy. The creme caramel was not available, but we were given a choice of desserts from the main menu to recompense which we thought was fair. We will certainly eat at Côte again on our next shopping trip to Oxford.

Excellent service. Good value. Delicious and hot (temperature is very important for me) food. The two boys (12 and 9) found exactly what they wanted on the menu. Our waiter was very patient with their obvious pleasure in the food and the experience.

The Cote has a very pleasant ambience. It has a nice range of choices on the menu & wine list. The staff were polite and efficient, and the food was very tasty.

The food was delicious and the staff were friendly. The only reason I give a 5 and not a 6 was because I was wrongly charged for an expensive bottle of wine, which would have almost doubled the bill if I hadnt checked.

Disappointing as many fish options were unavailable and the mushroom risotto was lacking in mushrooms.Friendly Staff explained they had experienced problems with their supplier yesterday.

Excellent food and service, good choice of menu. We love the atmosphere at Oxford. It was easy to book on line, one of our favourite places to eat.

As ever a lovely meal and fantastic staff who were knowledgeable and so welcoming - great atmosphere. Looking forward to next visit in a couple of weeks
