We enjoyed a very good pre- theatre dinner. The food was tasty, particularly the langoustine tails as a starter. The staff were friendly and efficient, which contributed to the pleasant atmosphere. The early evening menu represents very good value for money and we go to Côte on a fairly regular basis.

From being greeted at the door to paying our bill the service was excellent. We were even informed very politely that there would be a delay with the starter. The food was so good and there is always a decent choice. We'll definitely go back.

My wife and I dined at Cotes as part of our NYE celebrations. On booking we were not told that there would only be a set menu served. Luckily there was enough choice to satisfy our tastes. The food was acceptable but my Duck confit was overcooked and somewhat dry. The Crepe was cold with the flambe being done on a tray away from the table. I am afraid that the service from our waitress left a lot to be desired, she forgot the water, no clean knapkins for the main course and no finger bowl for my wife who had grilled prawns. The table next to us ordered a good 15 mins after us but was served before us with all courses while we had to wait. I got the impression that Cotes was not coping well with a full house and not up to its usual excellent standard of food and service.

Always consistently good service and food - could do with a bit more ambience ie decoration and lighting but it was daytime and during 5e week so maybe in the evening it’s more atmospheric.....see the one in Parsons Green... it good value for money and lovely service.

Really quick professional service and excellent food, especially the mussel starter. The only problem is the seating. Everything is a bit too closely packed together.

Good choice on the fixed menu. Shared a bottle of wine and plenty of table water brought to table. Excellent waitress. Tables a little crowded. Most enjoyable. What's not to like

Steak not cooked quite right, more burnt than well done. With it pink in the middle. Fish was superb! The mint peas had no mint in and were more like mixed vegetables! An extremely nice touch with the complimentary glass of fizz for the birthday. Will definitely be back.

I went to Cote Oxford last Tuesday with my husband and son as usual before going to the theatre. Usually the service is excellent, and the theatre menu is very good. Unfortunately the restaurant was very crowded, and we waited nearly ten minutes before anyone even came to our table with menus. When we received the theatre menu, two of the six items were not on offer! Eating before we had to leave became rather rushed, although we did just finish in time for the show. On the plus side, the food was excellent once we got it!

Yet another lovely evening at Cote. It was noticably busier than any time I've been before but I attribute that to the christmas rush. Some items on the set menu had run out however we were presented with alternatives which sounded just as nice. I had chargrilled chicken on roasted winter veg and my friend had a ribeye steak. Both meals were delicious and, although the steak took a little longer to prepare (My friend likes it well done), we were made aware in advance what our wait time would be. We had crepes and creme caramel for dessert and both were delicious as always.

Another lovely meal. We were greeted by the manager, shown to our table and the waitress was over very quickly. The menu was varied with something we all wanted. There was a slight problem in the kitchen and our dessert was a bit long in arriving but the manager was very apologetic about this. It hasn't put us off going again.

Six of us had a great lunch here celebrating an eightieth birthday. The food was excellent, served by friendly and welcoming staff - we weren’t rushed but nor were we ever kept waiting. Can’t fault Cote, it’s my go-to restaurant.

Always love the food and the wide choice of gluten free options at Cotes. Very convenient if you’re attending an event at the Old Fire Station. Felt slightly rushed although, in fairness, our request for a pause between starter and main course was respected. Very helpful staff who even whittled away the edge of the cork (from our bottle of wine) so we could get it back in the bottle and take the last glassful away with us. Thank you 😊

I've had two lunches at Cote in Oxford's George Street in the last two weeks. It is a bonus that Cote is virtually in the town centre. The interior is cosy, and the menu is varied. There is a premium lunchtime menu, and a standard one. As my guest opted for the standard menu, so did I and cannot report on the upmarket meal. The lunch we had was very nice and tasty, and we did not have to wait long, considering the number of other diners. At my first lunch the restaurant was full, which is always a good sign. So I am a very happy customer who will return soon for more!!

Delightful waitress was a big plus on top of a delicious meal. (Very generous portions of cod goujons, too.) Surprisingly quiet for a matinee lunchtime - which is a shame for Cote but did make for an unusually audible lunch!

Always love brunch at Cote though this one was slightly disappointing. The poached eggs on the vegetarian breakfast were really firm and the best bit is seeing them ooze over the toast. The French breakfast only came with a traditional sausage not the usual Toulouse tasty one. However, mentioned our disappointment to the waitress and we were only charged for one breakfast.

We had another good experience at Cote Oxford last night. Due to traffic we were half an hour late, but we phoned and they kept our table for us, and served us immediately we arrived so we were still in good time for the theatre! I hardly need mention that all the food was also excellent as usual!
