My wife and I had the Prestige fixed priced dinner with a couple of glasses of wine and it was very good. My wife had the grilled poulet and commented that she wished she could fix chicken that well. I had the pork tenderloin and it was prepared just right with a delicious sauce.

Food and welcome excellent. Having to wait 15 minutes to get the bill and then another 15 to get it processed rather spoilt the occasion but we will still keep going there. Just fix that bit and it’s great.

Food good. Service not great. Very strange frothy milk served with tea. Rude reaction when this was pointed out but eventually ‘ordinary’ milk was miraculously produced.

I made a booking 2 days earlier, and then I was seated in a table next to the stairs to the toilet and the chairs were blocking the way, so every time someone needed the toilet we had to move the chairs to let them pass, which was one or two person every 5 minutes

Second time at Oxford Cote for lunch. Tried the ling-cod as a main course but was disappointed as it was it was very bland. Admittedly it's the first time I have been disappointed after several years as a loyal Cote devotee. Staff were friendly and service was attentive

Lovely, friendly, attentive staff, delicious food but our table was very close to 2 other tables and we could hear conversations which was a bit off putting but we would definitely go back and would recommend

We had a pre-theatre 3 course meal at Cote Oxford as usual, and it was excellent. It is very popular and was full to capacity when we were there last night, so it was very noisy, as all the tables are placed very close together. However, the food, the service and the value for money are all excellent!

Creamed potato had lumps, venison parmentier practically meat free and tasted mainly of pepper. Handy for theater.

We were celebrating with a colleague leaving to go on her maternity leave and you had arranged a card and beautiful bouquet of flowers waiting at the table for her when we arrived. Such a fab gesture and totally unexpected! The meal was great and there was a lovely atmosphere in the restaurant, even for a Tuesday evening. I’m sure we will be back!

Today we enjoyed the deliciously warming french soup followed by pork tenderloin and the poulet grille rounded off with smooth and yummy creme caramel. All these dishes were from the three course Prestige Menu which must be the best value lunch in Oxford.

After placing my order (roast pork belly), the Manager came to my table to let me know it was no longer available. He suggested a replacement of Confit Duck, which although not on the menu at that point, was going to be introduced onto it. The duck was fantastic, and it shows the professionalism and knowledge of the staff. Cote Oxford is a great place for a meal, the atmosphere is vibrant, and the staff all seem to enjoy working there, and make the experience more enjoyable.
