Côte Oxford

Good choice of food and what we chose was well presented and nicely cooked. The service was attentive and good. Free bottle of wine meant that the overall meal was good value.

We visit regularly. The table was cancelled due to a power cut. But I had another phone call to say power back on. There were too many people waiting on us. My steak was not good. I wasn’t charged for it but would have preferred a better steak. Disappointing as I love it here.

As regular Cotes visitors we were on this occasion very disappointed with our food.We took advantage of your "Jan sales menu"but my wife,s chicken was over cooked and dry and my cottage pie, was not what we have come to expect of our favourite restaurant Cotes.The staff were very nice in Oxford (Our regular is Newbury)Sorry but the food not good and dissapointing

All four of us really enjoyed our meal and experience at Cote Brasserie. A good choice on the menu, reasonably priced, and great service. Good location near Oxford centre and will be our first choice hopefully for some time.

Pretty sure it’s true to say everyone enjoyed the lovely food and pleasant surroundings. We (eight of us) received a really warm welcome and nice service throughout at our family/birthday gathering here last night. Good value too, I say. Thanks to all involved at the Oxford, George Street restaurant :)

As usual the food was excellent as was the service. I would always recommend Cote (Oxford) to anyone looking for great food in a pleasant environment.

We had a pre theatre 3 course dinner as part of their January offer, excellent food and value as always.

Great meal overall. Only a couple of niggles that were sorted.

Overall pretty good. However the muscles were poor. They were overcooked and the quality was very mixed. Some were too small to have been cooked, others were grey and of poor taste. Mixing there were a few good ones. The wine list is particularly good. We all had the same crab starter which was enjoyable and the goats cheese salad and salmon were also quite good. I’m afraid the muscles were a real letdown.

Four of us had an early evening meal here for the first time in Oxford and were delighted with everything about it. The welcome, general staff attention, quality of the food and choices available all added up to a very pleasant experience.

There is one thing that really bothers me! When you book a table for 6 ( or how ever many) you should be able to eat together!!! I've had to send my steak back to be warmed up!!! So I'm waiting while everyone else is eating!!!! Really!!!???

Comfortable pleasant efficient and excellent food, a very enjoyable evening

The space is a bit crowded, and the cooking was a little inaccurate. My rib-eye steak was overdone and a bit dry in parts, while my partner's fish stew contained undercooked potatoes and leeks and overcooked mussels.

A friend and I had a lovely lunch before we went to the matinee performance of Mowtown Musical. The food was lovely it only got 5 stars because I remembered half way my fried chicken that I don’t really like chicken cooked like that. Lovely starters and a nice glass of wine also. It was busy but we got served quickly and efficiently and booking on line is so easy.

We both enjoyed our meal very much. My friend had a blue fillet steak and was delighted with it. I enjoyed chicken which was very moist and full of flavour. We sat in the quieter small room which suited us perfectly and had excellent service from a delightful waitress.

Good value food and excellent service - big family group with some fussy folks was handled wonderfully

Amazing service from the moment we walked through the door. One of our party was GF, a separate menu was provided and other items on the specials menu were flagged. We all enjoyed our food, the quality of the wines were great and the surroundings were relaxing. Two and a half hours passed by in a flash. Cote is a wonderful example of a chain restaurant getting it right.
