We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Cote Brasserie, Oxford, the only annoyance being the extremely noisy group on the adjoining table to us. However, the food and service were excellent with a good choice in all courses and all reasonably priced. We will certainly visit again the next time we come to Oxford.

Surprisingly large restaurant. Usual Cote menu - good value for money. Service a bit slow but it was very busy. Friendly staff. Would go again

we were a family group of five. We were unhurried when we want to chat and the service was friendly, helpful and speedy when we needed it to be. Excellent food and a lovely relaxing evening.

The food was amazing and it came very quickly considering how busy the restaurant was. Also the staff were lovely very attentive and always checking how the food was.

The staff and the food were very pleasant as they usually are in Cote but we were in a small side room with tables pushed closely together and there was no atmosphere we felt as in the usual Cote restaurants we frequent.

A surprisingly good value for money option in Oxford city centre. Good quality french-style food with much flavour and just the right portion size. Very helpful & pleasant staff. However, the 12.5% (optional) service charge seems a little excessive. A cosy, well-kept restaurant but can be very noisey at busy times. That aside, I have been numerous times and I intend to return again in the future.

The food was excellent - delicious and varied, and we didn't leave the restaurant feeling much too full. And the welcome offer of the bottle of wine was kept and mentioned as we arrived. Very pleased, will definitely go again.

We went for brunch on a Saturday morning. The atmosphere was buzzing and the staff couldn't do anymore to help. I had the Eggs Royale and the others had the Full English, absolutely superb! One of the best breakfasts we've ever had!!

Went for a birthday dinner. Was a lovely experience with kir royales on the house and then a creme caramel with a candle! Wonderful meal.

Very good meal. I would eat there again, if I were to be back in Oxford. Good and pleasant service. Nice ambiance. Good choice of dishes, well prepared, tasty and unshowy food.

The service was first rate and the food excellent. We were made very welcome and nothing was too much trouble for us. The early evening menu was excellent and very good value for money. We will certainly go back again and again.

As always, excellent service and excellent food at a great price. I come here regularly and am never disappointed. Set menu is a reliable bargain.

It was really nice. They took a bit long to bring our entrees but they realized that and did not charge us. Overall very nice as usual. We really like this restaurant.

My friend and I enjoyed an excellent dinner yesterday evening and an excellent breakfast this morning. The Assistant Manager, "Vlad", was particularly friendly and helpful and I have nothing but praise for him, the food and the restaurant itself. Table of 9 of us for breakfast, everything was cooked beautifully and most importantly still hot! Coffee's are always great as well. Lovely waiting staff.

Cote Brasserie in Oxford is a good place to eat, whether it is for a quick meal or for something more. On this occasion we had lunch on a Sunday. It was so refreshing to be offered the usual menu rather than a selection of roasts and few other options. Our food was excellent, tasty and cooked just right. Service was good and friendly without being instrusive.

We had a lovely friendly welcome at the door even though we were a bit late, (parking in Oxford). We were served promptly with drinks and ordered from the A la carte menu. I had the warm goats cheese salad which was a very generous portion. We had theatre tickets so decided not to have dessert. Enjoyable time.

We visited Cote Brasserie in Oxford on Saturday. As always, we had very good food, good service, and there was a lovely atmosphere. We had a very pleasant evening al round.

Excellent food and service, booked our favourite table as meeting friends for lunch and Cote is always our first choice with special set meals plus a la carte. The Breton Fish Stew is never a disappointment.

Good food, excellent waiter. We did not wait long to order or to receive our wine and starters. The menu offered a light option which meant that dessert was also possible. The lighting was good enough to see the meal and the temperature just right, although unseasonably chilly outside. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening, which was a 40th wedding anniversary celebration and came away resolved to visit again. The surrounding diners all seemed to be enjoying themselves as well and I was not aware of any complaints.

Lovely evening. We were a group of 7 (pre-booked) on a busy Saturday night and service was quick and the staff were very polite. Food was good. The atmosphere was relaxed and we all enjoyed our time there. Would recommend.

The service in Cote is always first rate and the food is fantastic too. My wife loves the place as they do lighter meals. This time I had the lemon sole which was superb. Great choice of wine. The restaurant is well placed for the theatres in Oxford and the staff check if you are going so they know your need to leave by a certain time. Recommend.

We ordered two half spit roast chickens and one poulet grille. The spit roast chicken had greens beans on the menu...when our food came there were no beans ....and peas had been put on the plate. We asked where the beans were and the waiter said they had run out. We were not asked which alternative vegetable we wanted, and when my daughter ordered a side dish of green beans to accompany her poulet grill , that was delevered with her food? My daughters poulet grill had to be sent back as it was cooked on the outside but definitely not cooked on the inside. This meal was replaced and the poulet grill was taken off the bill. We go to Cote Farnham regularly and have always enjoyed it .....but this was definitely the worst experience we have had at a cote.....having just joned the loyalty programme we will not be going back.

While the service was good, the kitchen seemed to be unable to cope with the full restaurant - all our main courses (duck, fish and chicken) were dry, as though they had been standing under heat lamps for some time. We would have complained, and asked for the dishes to be replaced, but were in a hurry could not afford the extra time this would have taken. We did complain to the manager as we left who appeared concerned. We will see!

Good choice on the menu, though some specials were unavailable. Above average wine list in terms of quality. Service could have been quicker. Authentic ambiance.

Part of the meal was not hot enough, but was removed from the bill. Service was rather slow, but it was Sunday. Menus are always interesting and as there is a monthly menu there is always a good selection of food. Overall the best of the chain restaurants

Good food, delightful and efficient staff. Excellent value. We can thoroughly recommend the Soupe de Poisson and the cod goujons. The peach crumble was greatly enjoyed, too!

The food is excellent and arrives quickly. The staff are very efficient and friendly. It is always an enjoyable experience at Cote. My friends enjoy it too.

Too expensive. Not value for money. Had fish pie over £11 and no sides. Meal for 2 with tip over £65. Would have been better value in a pub.

Good food. Good service.BUT Do not like optional gratuity. Prefer to reward staff on my own terms. Manager very politely dealt with the Situation when I found the charge had been made without me realising. This charge should be clearly pointed out to customers.

Very good food for 2 of us but my husband had the minute steak - over cooked. Arrived to be told there was no garlic bread and no pino Grigio on the wine list. Also could you please give customers more time before you want them to order the meal. However we rated the restaurant 81/2 out of ten! Alison Bowen

We have been going to Cote in Oxford since it opened and have always enjoyed the great service, food and atmosphere.Sadly on our last visit my food was so salty it was impossible to eat. My wife's food was fine but sadly my chicken and salad was covered in salt. A mistake maybe , and a refund as a gesture of good will. We will of course return and ask for food without salt.

We enjoyed a very good meal from the Anniversary menu. Although it was a busy evening the service was attentive and friendly and all the meals chosen were excellent.

Good value 3 course early evening meal. Only 5 out of 6 as could have been a green veg with the chicken main. Shame crumble was not crunchy but thats a personal preference.

Fabulous food as always and the gluten free options were much appreciated. I love the way you cook tuna and my husband really enjoyed your starter charcuterie platter. We've visited the Oxford Cotes five times now and we're always impressed by the quality of the service. Such a pleasure to have quirky yet intelligent and professional waiting staff. The usual, reliable menu, the usual cheerful service, the usual high quality of the cooking. Everything as we expected, and our 21-yr-old grandchildren were very impressed - said they would go to Cote again.

Excellent food and great service - remember to book as this restaurant gets very busy. The confit duck was excellent as was the burger - nicely cooked medium rare. Professional and attentive staff.

Booked online, friendly welcome combined with fast and polite service, the food was fantastic and we had a nice corner table in a secluded part of the restaurant. Would definitely go again.
