Excellent service even though restaurant very busy tonight. Good choice of food and wine. Extra water and ice delivered promptly. Lovely ambiance in this Cote!

We always look forward to an excellent meal before the theatre. The food this evening was absolutely delicious. Vlad, Daniel and their team are welcoming, friendly and efficient.

I've been to several Cote Brasseries in the south of England but was disappointed with the one in Oxford mainly due to the fact it took them around 80 minutes to serve us our main courses. We had booked for 17:00 and the restaurant was mostly empty which makes the delay inexplicable. The food was good and they did take off the cost of our starters but I still felt the overall experience was at best average. I hope this was a one off as I rely on the Cote Brasserie being one of the places I would always consider when out for a meal.

Excellent food as always. Great vale for money. Chicken was a bit more peppery than usual but still enjoyed it very much will come back

Delicious with reasonable price! Good quality staff and service. A pity that fish and mussel was sold out. Would love to try the seafood next time.

Busy at lunch time as every Cote tends to be. We had booked but although we arrived early we were shown to our table immediately. Food was well cooked and presented. Service was friendly and attentive.

Super pre theatre dinner - great service & delicious slow roasted pork belly. Chocolate fondant dessert was gorgeous - one for the chocoholics! Great location close to the theatre.

High quality food, good service. Particularly impressed with the separate vegetarian menu. If you are vegetarian there is plenty of choice which is refreshing. Thank you!

Overall, a good experience. However, two of the main courses had to be sent back twice for being almost cold. Only on the third attempt were they just hot enough but by then my other two friends had finished their main courses so it was a bit haphazard. I must say the problem was handled quickly and efficiently by the excellent waiting staff and it was the first time I have had a problem at any of the many branches of Côte I have visited.

Very busy and noisy. French onion soup tasty but tepid, steak good but again tepid, didn't even melt the butter, cold plate. No a great experience.

Service excellent as always, when the main course arrived, was very fatty pork, offered not just to replace with something else as other cuts were the same, but were, pleasantly surprised to be brought complementary kir snd then also did not charge for the meal. Apologised numerous times! Replacement options were both excellent.

Lovely food and athmosphere as always. We had the early bird menu which is great value for money. A couple of dishes were not available today.

Resturant and food OK but not great - olives were old, steak undercooked. No car staff but service was a bit slow. Recognise it’s a chain

The food and the service in Cote Oxford is very good. The staff are very friendly and provide an excellent service especially if you are having a meal before going to the Theatre,Cinema or to a Concert.

Great service with helpful staff. The food was good and excellent value - we had an early dinner so enjoyed the 3 courses for £13.50. The House white was light and fresh. We will be returning.

as a meal before the theatre, we were well looked after by our young waiter and finished in time for our visit to see Mama Mia. Although 3 of us were a bit late for our meal, we were still made welcome. We will come again. It is very good value and good choices.

The restaurant was busy at 1.30 lunchtime. Food was good ; but the service was haphazard and inattentive. Needs more staff, would be my advice.

Food and service excellent. They did not understand the CASH 1200 code you gave me! I thought it meant a discount of £10 but did not get it.

Always good service excellent value for money on the pre show specials deal -starter and main plus drinks £28!! You must book though as it gets very busy 1.5 hours before 7.30pm show time.

Restaurant very helpfully rang in the morning to say they had a problem with their gas suply, but fortunately it had been fixed when we arrived. Friendly helpful waitress but the Cassoulet 'special' was very disappointing.

There were six of us dining have the three course early evening set menu. Excellent service friendly and helpful staff and the food was terrific. Well worth a visit.

The service was great. Our waiter was very helpful and amusing without being intrusive. The food was fabulous - two of us shared the Cote de boeuf - delicious. Loved the crepes! A very good experience.

Had a lovely meal and the service was very good too. I have given a 5 and not a 6 as the tables are a little close together.

Good food; fast service - in fact rather too fast! Olives and bread arrived half a minute before main dish so we had to eat them together! Lighting is far too dim. Almost impossible to read the menu which was in small font too! Waiter provided two extra small candles but these gave hardly any more light to the menu. Why was there music playing? The customers want to talk and it was almost impossible to hold a conversation above the noise. We would much prefer a quieter restaurant with no music or any sort.

The staff were nice, the wine good, the food well-cooked and served, but I could barely see what I was eating. Some people like eating in semi-darkness. I clearly am not one of them.

A wonderful meal with excellent customer service. Stylish, relaxed surroundings. Staff were exceptionally helpful with adapting dishes to accommodate allergies. The food was fantastic. The special early evening menu was varied, satisfying and exceptionally good value. We will be visiting again.

My husband and I visited Cote Oxford and ordered from the pre-theatre menu. This is excellent value for money at under £14 for 3 courses. Each course is fairly small, but very tasty, and after all three we felt nicely full! Even though the restaurant was very busy the service was timely and we were out in good time for the show.

A number of menu options unavailable ( an issue when you have specific dietary requirements) and some items not as described on menu. Nothing to have complained about, but not special and not really value for money. Nice, helpful and friendly service.

Something went wrong with our order and we waited a long time to get our food but we did have a round of drinks given on the house which was appreciated.

Excellent French Onion Soup. The wild mushroom and creme fraiche were missing from the Poulet Grille - otherwise good. Service was very good. In the Oxford Cote a window seat gives you a splendid view of the wall of the Odeon Cinema.

An excellent Hungarian waitress. Good food which was well priced. The premises are, however, too small. There must be vacant properties now that Westgate has opened. An efficient operation that clearly knows its clientele.

Excellent service, delicious meal eaten in a restaurant with a lovely atmosphere. Have been in a number of occasions and it has always been the same. Shall definitely be going again. So convenient for the theatre.

We were going to the theatre anad had lunch here first. The service was as excellent as ever, the food up to its high standard and the prices very good. We will be back next time we're going to the theatre.

We had an enjoyable evening at Cote. We chose of the ealyevening menu and had 2 courses for £11.50. There was a very good choice and the food was excellent.

We have used Cote many times for pre-theatre/concert meal. Always good service and food and very good value and conscious of time restraints that people have at that time, but never rushed.

I've usually had good experiences at this restaurant, but our Sunday brunch was really sub-par. It took close to an hour for our food to arrive, we learned that one of the dishes we'd ordered wasn't even available about 20 minutes after placing the order. The food, when it finally arrived, was not very good at all. A disappointing visit this time around.....

It was perfect! The food was amazing, staff and service were excellent too! We had a birthday party, so the staff helped us to made a perfect mood!

Great food as usual .Service very friendly. The Oxford Cote Brasserie was only a couple of minutes from the New Theatre Oxford where we were going that night so was very convenient for a pre theatre meal.

Several dishes not available as advertised, not much choice for veggies, slow service that evening. Have always enjoyed Cote previously in other locations, this was a disappointment.

We have the confidence to recommend the Cote to anyone looking for not just very good food and service, but, also, that comfortable ambience we remember getting in restaurants during our days living in France. Those that dwell on the concept of (so called) fine dining .... should bear in mind that good cooking needs a good eating environment to complete the experience. Gordon and Maureen Edwards
