This is our restaurant of choice when going to the theatre. Good food, reasonably priced and the service is excellent. Speedy but never rushed. Highly recommended but make sure you book for pre-theatre.
Fantastic food and excellent service. Our new favourite restaurant. The best we have been to in a long time. Steak lovers must go - perfectly cooked steaks!
Have been many times before but food wasn’t up to the usual standard this evening. We love this place and came for a Birthday meal.but it was surprisingly disappointing.
The service was rushed and food bought out to quick to be freshly cooked, and the staff were a little stuffy and not vet friendky
Cote restaurants always deliver excellent service, quality and consistently good food. The choice and variety of the menu caters for a wide range of clients including a good selection of gluten free plates of food. The atmosphere in the restaurants is always friendly and conducive. Well done Cote, keep it up.
I have eaten many times at Côte and never been disappointed. The service is always good and the food delicious. It is my venue of choice when in Oxford.
Very nice lunch indeed on a busy day before heading off to the theatre. My 3rd visit to the restaurant with the experience being as good as the first.
Excellent food & service, staff were friendly & helpful. We were offered free top ups of coffee & many condiments. Overall a very enjoyable experience.
Cote B is reliable and that's why I keep returning. The food is good and one always receives a welcome. The set menu is great value.
I don’t like the 12.5% service charge included in the bill. Food and service was fine but please leave it up to guests to decide what they would like to leave as a tip.
The lunch set menu was very good value, with a wide range of dishes available. We thoroughly enjoyed our two courses and the service was friendly and efficient. It’s a pity this menu is not available at weekends in Côte Oxford as it is in some other locations.
Good service and food A bit noisy for a Sunday lunch as the people were in just for drinks only next to our table. But still our favourite place to eat for the Theatre
Excellent meal as usual. The service is superb, the food is fantastic and the cost is cool. I always use this restaurant when going to the theatre in Oxford. I'll be back.
What a great restaurant. We were very pleased with the service we received, the choices on the menu were really good and affordable. Lovely place that we'll return to.
We had a lively meal here. The staff are very professional and efficient. The choices on the menu are great and the price very fair.
We had a really lovely meal. The menu is good with a variety of dishes. We've never been disappointed with a meal at this restaurant.
We always come here when we are going to the theatre. We've never been disppointed with the service, food or prices. We love this place.
We took a trip to Oxford and ate here. We weren't disappointed. The service was first rate, the food delicious and the price excellent. We'll definitely come back.
This was my birthday treat along with a trip to the theatre. We really enjoyed our meal and the service was great. We feel we get very good value for our money.
It is so nice to be greeted by a friendly person who makes you feel like a special customer. We had great service and a great meal at a good price.
Convivial luncheon over the holiday period with dear friends from Czech Republic!
Lovely meal with my Daughter after attending the prosecco event in the town hall. Always good food and service although they forgot to bring my coffee I ordered. Never mind, still great.
Very good food and excellent courteous service. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and I was pleased to introduce two old friends to your restaurant which I am sure they will visit again.
Very efficient service with prompt serving of food which was very nice. The gratin dauphinois was not as nice have had in the past, as if had been lying around and was a bit stodgy. Overall good experience.
I have been to this restaurant before and it is always a lovely experience. the staff are friendly and dont rush you through the meal. they are helpful and attentive when needed but not intrusive. I just like going there.
Fantastic. We use Cote quite often and it is lovely to be greeted with a friendly smile. Thank you. The service was excellent, the food really good and the prices very fair. The restaurant is so convenient for both theatres in Oxford. I'll definitely be back.
Excellent service and good food. I like the ambience of the restaurant too. Staff are very friendly and polite and the menu has a good choice of meals and the 2 courses for a fixed price is good.
Service was excellent and food was lovely. I haven’t eaten at this restaurant before but I will be eating here again! So many lovely choices that one visit is not enough.
A warm welcome and careful attention during our lovely visit . A delay to our main course not flagged up by me but the waiter ! How often does that happen .... never, and an offer of something else while we waited . A happy visit
Excellent, friendly service and lovely food. We had the minute steak and butterflief chicken with mushroom sauce and both dishes were delicious. Very nice ambience.
Lovely meal, great service but a few things not available on the menu. Food delicious and great offer of free bottle of wine in January!
We were very well looked after throughout the evening. The menu and wine were excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We will be back!
The food was as good as ever as was the service. Unfortunately there was a problem in the kitchen when it got to desserts. We weren't sure we'd get them and then have time to eat them as we were on our way to the theatre. Out waiter was aware of this and he did manage to get them for us. He was so apologetic for the delay although we knew it wasn't his fault. We felt sorry for him. This hasn't put us off and we will definitely go back.
Lovely staff we were made very welcome. The food was excellent and we would definitely return and recommend this restaurant . It was a Birthday celebration and our waitress made it special
Food was very good - nice bottle of Rose - a good friendly waitress - we go there often and will certainly be going again before long.
Had not been to Cote, Oxford before but the service was excellent, catering for 3 gluten free guests and the food equally so. I’m not often in Oxford but would pick here next time I am. Well done Cote.
Excellent service from lovely staff. We enjoyed morning coffee, lunch and then returned for afternoon tea as we had had such a delicious lunch and didn’t want to go anywhere else. This says a lot. I was meeting my sister who lives in the Cotswolds and Oxford is a half way point from London where I live.
The first course - salmon, was excellent, as usual, but the tarte aux pommes, usually very good, was disappointing. I hope this was just a one-off slip up.
Very nice evening with friends. Very busy when we arrived, and we were placed at a table where people were coming and going and bumping into us all the time. Far too many tables crammed into the space available, so this experience would undoubtedly have been common to other diners - for example, the poor chap whose chair was directly in front of the chairs at the top of the stairs leading to the lavatories, so he had people regularly squeezing past him, We asked to be moved, and were. The number of diners thinned out after the pre-theatre crowd had gone, although it did build up again. Staff were very obliging, attentive enough. Food was good and nicely cooked, although presentation could be improved. Decent French grub, though, and reasonably priced. Wine was good. We took advantage of the "free bottle" offer, so well worth going. We paid about £26 a head for a 3 course meal with wine, which in Oxford is nothing short of a miracle.
The food was good and the staff friendly. We booked an early meal, we arrived slightly early and when we ordered we said we were going to the theatre, but service was slow and we had to chase each stage of the meal.
Fantastic wine with some solid starters and aperitifs. Slightly disturbed by the fire alarm going off following our mains but that can’t be helped. As a result we were a 40 minute wait for our mains which felt rushed and were a little charred. Ultimately a lovely intimate spot for a meal, perhaps just unfortunate circumstances led to poor mains.
Good food, pleasant surroundings, efficient and friendly service. Convenient for dinner before visiting nearby theatres. Nothing else I can say. Is this 25 words yet?
Delicious food with friendly efficient service in a relaxed atmosphere. I chose the duck and this was perfectly cooked. Looking forward to returning when next in Oxford.
Food was delicious x we had a voucher for a complimentary Drink and a 2 or 3 course meal and it was delicious, staff were friendly and happy x water was brought to the table without having to ask for it. Only thing we didn’t like was the £9.81 put on bill for service charge when we were going to tip anyway x would defiantly recommend and will be going back soon x
Good food at a reasonable price but the close proximity of the tables meant you can hear other diners conversations a bit more than I’d like to.
We came for a 2nd visit due to having discount voucher due to previous poor experience, unfortunately this was not much better. My apple crumble came out stone cold despite the bowl being red hot when it came out a 2nd time it was exactly the same.
Great atmosphere. Staff very good apart from trying to charge the wrong amount on my debit card! Otherwise look forward to returning to Oxford branch soon
We had the early evening menu pre theatre. The service was good but the salad starter was very short od quantity, also was the Seabass main course which came on a bed of leeks but really needed another veg to make a full meal, we felt it was a bit short on quantity. Otherwise all was Ok
Good food, friendly service and excellent value. Most inventive dishes, we enjoyed the starters and as ever found the steak frites superb. Delicious puddings as well.
