Côte Oxford

As usual, excellent service and consistently superb food was provided. Whenever we are in a large city we always seek out a Cote, safe in the knowledge that we won’t be let down.

The staff are extremely welcoming and helpful, the food is delicious, the service impeccable. I highly recommend Cote Oxford for any occasion and will certainly visit again.

Excellent food, both meals cooked perfectly. Left satisfied, would recommend a visit. Had to leave table and approach staff to get and pay the bill.

Nice welcome and friendly staff as always but my salad (“no croutons please”) arrived with a gluten-free label and croutons buried in it! We’re they gluten-free croutons? Nobody knew... I picked them out one by one.

Excellent service and excellent food, what more can i say. i have never had a bad experience at this restaurant. The only slightly negative is the restaurant is a little cramped but this does add to a buzzing atmosphere.

Booking online went smoothly. Arrived early but was welcomed and placed at a great table overlooking George Street. The food (as always at Cote) was excellent, the service cheerful and helpful, the wine delicious and reasonably priced. We love Cote in Tunbridge Wells where we live and Cote Oxford measured up in every regard.

Lovely greeting, excellent meal, excellent service and excellent price. This restaurant is the perfect place to eat before going to one on the theatres. We'll be back.

It is always a pleasurable experience. The service is excellent as is the food. The staff are always very friendly and very welcoming which makes for a very enjoyable and relaxing evening.

As always the food at Cote was delicious. Service was attentive but not intrusive. This was a very reasonably priced meal representing very good value.

Cozy atmosphere. Friendly staffs. Delicious food and desserts. This is my second visit ordering an early evening deal. The fish dish was lovely and the steak was suitably cooked. I will definitely come here again.

Good food, attentive staff, as always. Preferred menu from earlier in the year. However, not the best location in Oxfordand & not our favourite restaurant.

Staff & service very good Food excellent for all 4 of us with 1minor comment that my Beef Bourguignon really needed a bit more mashed potato Beware that 12.5% service charge is automatically added to bill (although in this instance I was happy to leave a gratuity)

Everything was super good. The food is amazing and atmosphere is really perfect for meetings with friends. I highly recommend the place for dinner or lunch!

Our meal was okay, the waiter seemed distracted and we certainly didn't have the feeling we were valued customers! The bill charged us for 4 coffees when we only had 2, and there was a 12.5% service charge added at source (this was optional but we would prefer to add our own tip). We won't be rushing back.

Nice little restaurant. The steak frites and the duck breast were both well presented and tasty, as were the "pissaladieres" we had as starters. Staff were attentive and cheerful.

We booked as it was Mothering Sunday, and the restaurant was certainly busy, but the staff were very good and the service was prompt. Food as good as usual except the lettuce with the warm roquefort salad was very limp. Unfortunately they had run out of the smoked salmon.

Brilliant experience, food and staff were fantastic and very patient as well. Would definitely return or recommend to anyone looking to eat out when visiting Oxford.

Very agreeable staff and good service. Having chosen the set menu for pre theatre timing the poulet roti was disappointingly dry and overcooked. Not good for a french brasserie signature menu item.

Quick service before a theatre trip - dessert slightly disappointing - chocolate fondant, straight out of the microwave!! Tables quite close together so I wouldn't recommend if you want an intimate meal for two!

Excellent food and service. No judgement for wanting red wine with my fish stew - I was even offered bread to mop up the delicious juices!

Have been several times before when going to the theatre opposite. Always had a nice meal, nice staff cannot say anything negative. Highly recommended .

Food good but spoilt by no fish soup for one if our party. Also by a very noisy group on the table next to us.

The bread is excellent, whilst the tartar was a disappointment. It tasted like minced meat from the supermarket. However, overall our three course meal was good. A shame the service is inconsistent and slow even outside the peak hours.

We booked a table online for a quiet Monday night and were met with friendly staff, a great menu of choices and really great food. Portion sizes were not overwhelming and the creme brulee was beautiful!
