We had great food and great service. The French onion soup was sublime, delicious and the sausages were very tasty. We will recomend it to others.

The choice on de menu was inadequate i like fish but not salmon so I had to choose ribeye . Cooking was supposed to be rare but got medium rare. Service was excellent. One thing worth mentioning is the noise, Unfortunately in our part of the restaurant was a group of 8 Spaniards. Like watching fc barcelona

We ate at the restaurant on a busy Saturday evening. The meal was excellent, service great and the atmosphere was lovely. There were couples, groups and parties but it was fine the restaurant sat you in the appropriate area. Will be coming back soon.

Fabulous as always the atmosphere is lovely and staff are super attentive. My steak was cold but they sorted it very quickly and efficiently. I love the cote brand as the food ambience and social layout has been put together very well.

Good meal before theatre trip but rather slow in being served main course. Given money off bill so appreciated. Not all puddings available on Set Menu.

We were warmly welcomed on our arrival. Interesting to see the new menus and I chose from the £15.95 menu and my partner from the April specials. We both enjoyed our meals and wine. All in all a very enjoyable lunch.

Fantastic food and wine as usual. Great venue for the Old Firestation theatre pre-show meal too and right opposite the bus stop. Well done treat.

Delicious food, excellent service, and good value. A popular restaurant making it advisable to book a table as soon as you know the date and time you would like.

Eat at Cote regularly and was surprised to see that the Oxford restaurant now has two set menus - the usual two courses for £11.95 and a prestige menu at £15.95. Seemed a bit of a con to me as most of the choices on the higher priced menu were things that used to appear on the cheaper one. Really hoping this isn’t a sneaky way for Cote to hike their prices. That said, we ate from the cheaper set menu and enjoyed what we had - but sadly the apple crumble was no more. It had been promoted to the dearer menu!

Overall very good, but the skin of confit of duck should be crisp! Everything else was very good, including the attentive and pleasant manner of service.

We had calamari and prawns to begin, steak and duck for mains and creme brûlée and cheese for dessert, the food was all cooked to perfection and tasted absolutely amazing, the service was friendly and quick, the price I think was great value for the food, we literally couldn’t have asked for any more!! Thank you so much the Cote team!!

Very quick service and friendly staff. Food ok but steak not cooked rare as stated and confit just adequate. Steak frites could have had a little more green salad. Profiteroles were great.

Excellent range of dishes on set choice menu. Well presented and tasty. Lovely staff - only minor issue was that a small table spillage could perhaps have been mopped up between courses - but this didn't detract from our enjoyment of the lunch. Thank you.

The standard of service and food was up to it's usual high standard, a delight to eat there before the theatre as they make sure you are served in time.

The pre-theatre menu is excellent value with a good choice of dishes: not too rich, or too big. The service was polite and fairly prompt: we arrived at 6:15 and were able to leave at 7:15 after a three-course meal. This is the third Cote restaurant in which I have dined, and all experiences have been very positive.

We felt the restaurant was somewhat cramped and the waiters had to lean across the tables when serving. Our party of four where seated at a round table which quickly became overcome by eight glasses, two water bottles and an unlit candle when food arrived. Despite ordering two starters to share we had to ask for some side plates. Food quality was good but lacking in vegetables, unless ordered separately, and quantity for the price. We accepted the added service charge as the bill stated that this all went to the staff.

Cote is always consistent. Good food and friendly service. It’s advisable to book as it gets extremely busy at peak times, that is theatre timing etc. Very good menu with lots of choice. Very central and good location.

Another fine lunch at Cote. Not impressed with the 'voluntary gratuity' at 12.5% - I'm happy to tip as I see fit and don't need that encouragement. It always feels like a service charge is a surcharge. You have the choice of us either dining at Cote times a year (and occasional tip) or 6 times (plus tip) - what would you prefer as a company?

Cramped. No olio for the soup, surely any chef could whip that up in less than a minute. Main course was terrible, a sloppy wet mess. I was not charged for it but it spoiled the whole meal. On a positive note my husband's food was good and staff were good, but this is a branch of Cote I am hesitant to return to. Shame ruined our time there. Incidentally the table next to us waited ten minutes between the first meal coming out and the other three arriving hence first meal stone cold.

Cote restaurants offer the finest value in dining out in the country. The a la carte menu has so many delicious things to choose from and the 'specials' are always tempting. My partner and I dine there frequently; we are never less than very satisfied.
