we had the fixed price menu which was excellent and very good value for money. The service was as usual friendly and efficient. I can thoroughly recommend Côte Oxford
We had a lovely meal. The staff were all so friendly and went out if their way for my husbands birthday. The food was fantastic and they cater brilliantly for gluten free which my husband tells me was lovely.
Friendly service and good food. We will probably go again on our next trip to Oxford and would be willing to try other Cote restaurants.
That was an amazing night! The food was great as always. And I really like the service! I’m sure i will book a table here again and again
Cote Oxford was good last night for our usual pre-theatre dinner. We were very late arriving due to a huge traffic jam because of an accident in central Oxford, but they managed to serve us very quickly so we could get to the show on time. Excellent service and food as usual!
Not a great meal. The steak my Husband had was absolutely tasteless and one of the Waitresses seemed quite unhappy and kept putting items down on the tables very heavily, which made the visit far from relaxed. Probably won't come again before going to the Theatre.
Good service, good food, good atmosphere. We had an excellent meal in a pleasant bustling restaurant. The service was excellent and the food matched the service.
As ever, pleasant atmosphere and service. Standard fixed menu very bland; e.g. haddock and beans; chicken on meshed potato. Soup and smoked mackerel starters very good. Overall disappointing. Wonder if the standard fixed menu has suffered with introduction of Prestige menu.
Excellent food, freindly staff, good service and very reasonable prices. What more can you ask for. Second time at a Cote and will definitely visit again soon.
We took some friends who had only eaten in the Cote once before. They and we were very impressed with the food and we would all visit again.
Quick, polite service nice food . The manager and staff and very friendly and the food is well priced. There’s a great choice and food is served quickly . Nice sparkling wine too
Great service, great food. One thing I would say is that don't have the table seated near the stairs for the toilet as you will be constantly knocked by people coming & going!
I enjoyed the dinner, with good food, good service and a good atmosphere overall. I live in the United States, but will return to the restaurant the next time I am in Oxford.
As usual - excellent. Great professional staff and great dining experience. Possibly the consistently best restaurant in Oxford. Relaxing atmosphere and helpfulness with my disabled husband.
We've had some outstandingly good meals at other branches of Côte. This was not one of those. The food was mostly good; my husband said that his was underseasoned, and our friend found hers stodgy. Service was okay, but again not outstanding. Reasonable value for money.
Delicious food and luckily had table in quiet room. Good service and enjoyed the inexpensive wine. Al in all a great start to our theatre trip and very reasonable price Had the sea bream in the fixed price menu Delicious
Greated by friendly staff and good service throughout. Food was prompt and delicious. We thought it really good value for money. Was a lovely evening out and would go again.
My husband and I had a truly memorable experience with first time dining at Cote Brasserie. All staff were attentive to our needs following a warm welcome. Food presentation and taste were faultless. We are both discerning diners. As a French native with family vineyard and chef cooking (brother) background, my passion is for good food and wine. We look forward to visiting York and Harrogate Cote Brasserie as both are located close to our home. Merci infiniment.
Excellent food and service as usual and glad we'd booked as although early (5pm) it soon filled up and people being turned away . Nice time spent prior to theatre
Cote Oxford is always a safe bet for a very enjoyable family meal out. This time was no different - our food was delicious and we had great service,
The customer service was exceptional, always checking if our food was okay (but not asking too much!) and made sure we always had a drink!
Service and food excellent. We had a mixture of the early afternoon and a la carte menus. Lots of choice. A very pleasant afternoon was had by our party.
Went to Cote Oxford, as have always relied on the brand in the past. I've been regularly to the Cotes in Bath, Bristol and Cirencester but was genuinely shocked at the state of the restaurant in Oxford. I can only put it down to them not being able to find a decent site in the city. It was tiny, extremely dated and miserable. The food was however still good but the experience was Oh so NOT like other Cotes with no style whatsover
A very good restaurant, with very good food and service. Manager is first class and nothing is too much trouble. Some interesting and rare lager / blonde beers available.. Plenty of lunchtime 2 course offers and specials. Gets very busy so book early and go early.
This is the first time for ages that we have eaten here in the evening. The food was as lovely as ever, the price excellent but the one thing that stood out was the service. We were made to feel like we were the only customers despite the fact that the restaurant was full. It's a great restaurant. I love it.
Good service and food. Table ready on arrival , efficient service and friendly -not rushed. Have been to other Cote before and this was as expected in terms of food.
We all enjoyed our meals and were very happy with the service. We were going to the theatre and were finished in good time. Gluten free food was also not a problem.
We always enjoy eating at Cote, Oxford. The pre theatre Kir Royale is much appreciated! The staff are always polite, acknowledge that we normally have theatre tickets - so need to eat promptly - an d the menu is always interesting. A power cut on Friday last meant none of us dining around 6.30 to 7.30 could pay (card readers were down) but we all returned after the play ended to settle our bills 🙂
Lovely food, plenty of it and great atmosphere. Only problem last night was one of the mains out of 6 meals was late coming out by a few minutes but they were very apologetic & put a heart piece of toast as decoration
Lovely, friendly staff with a great sense of humour! Service was quick and the food was delicious and there was a big choice of different dishes. Atmosphere very warm.
I thought the food was good and well presented. The staff were friendly and attentive. Although quite busy at the time I visited, it was not noisy.
As with all Cote restaurants, the food and service was excellent. We were seated promptly and enjoyed our lunch. The restaurant is ideally sited for visitors to Oxford.
On a very warm evening, how good to receive such a welcome from Cote in Oxford. As usual, our waiter was careful to see that my special request for salad dressing on the side was fulfilled and we left feeling revived and ready for our journey back to Bath
Another good meal. I really like the Spring Menu. The friendly and efficient service makes for a great start to an evening at the Oxford Playhouse .
Good food, nicely served and reasonably priced. Would happily go again & nice to have a free Kir Royale after our trip to the theatre.
The service was excellent as always. We really enjoyed our meal and the price we paid. We always get very good value for money. We will continue to eat here.
Good food and well presented with excellent service .The staff were extremly polite and very professional and attentive.Nice atmosphere also in the restaurant.Would not hesitate to recommend.
Excellent lunch with my three best boyfriends (aged 16,13 and 9). Cod goujons, belly pork and fish 'pie' were all enjoyed as were the starters and ice cream. The boys all declared themselves to be absolutely full afterwards - a rare achievement for a restaurant visit. Very efficient pleasant service and an enjoyable pre-summer treat for us all. Well done, Cote!
Excellent food, good service and pleasant surroundings. We arrived a bit early but were shown to out table and had our order taken. Each course arrived in a good time and was very enjoyable very time. The only thing that was not part of the good experience was with my lemon pie desert I requested fresh cream which was not available so I had to have ice cream as I don't like crème fraiche but the pie was lovely.
Good atmosphere - certainly got the French Brasserie 'vibe' right. Staff very attentive. Food good but my cod was a bit overcooked - but overall very happy and will be back.
This was our first visit to the Cote in Oxford, their was four of us, we all had three courses from the al carte meal, the food was great, we enjoyed all three course with a nice bottle of wine, the service and the atmospher was very good, we would all go back to Cote if we return to Oxford.
The food is amazing! The seats are really comfy. The waiters are very nice. The good thing is it is a chain so you can go to say London and there will be a cote in Kensington. I love cote!
Was a great meal but service a little slow towards the end. Spoilt by a very noisy and very drunk table right next to us.
Complimentary kirs made a brilliant start to a very good meal. Great service and great food, all at a very reasonable price. Very much recommended.
Very tasty and one of our favourites! Would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a delicious meal. I went with my girlfriend and we will be going back soon!
Service was very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent, as it was cooked perfectly and came to the table piping hot. Will definitely be going back. Their three courses for £18.95 is an excellent deal and value for money.
We had a delicious lunch from a varied menu. The service was reasonable but it should be as they add 12.5% automatically. Tables are very close together and quite squashed.
Visit cote regularly but were a bit disappointed.starters and mains all came together and one of our meals had to be returned. As always staff acted well and put right as best they could.
A really friendly atmosphere with attentive staff . Great for a pre- theatre meal.
Very enjoyable meal with excellent and friendly service. One minor criticism - my wife’s burger was rather salty (i.e. over seasoned). Have no fear, We will return.
