Lovely meal & nice menu choices, the staff were very attentive. Definitely need to book on a Saturday night! Tables were a little close together and not a lot of room for coat and bags. Glad I managed to book a table online for the time I wanted as their call back service doesn’t work. On saying that I would definitely return, the food makes up for lack of space. Definitely worth a visit.

Excellent pre theatre meal with friends - delicious food, nice atmosphere!

Everything was as expected from Cote. Good food, good value and good service. The monthly specials and cocktail make Cote a good destination as this adds variety to the menu.

Three of us meet here about once a month for lunch. Everything worked well - our requested table was ready for us and all our choices were available on the lunch menu. The sea bream was delicious. Service was friendly and efficient as usual.

I would have appreciated more vegetables included in the set menu and a greater range of beers.

The food was good as usual. The cocktail was amazing. Our waitress was great. Unfortunately the table was very dirty and I had to clean it with a wet wipe. I have to be very careful not to catch anything as my immune system is weak.

We took a group for an office lunch today. Prebooked the table for 12.45 The welcome was warm, the food was good, but unfortunately the service was very slow and despite letting staff know that we needed to move on as a number of us had meetings the whole lunch (2 courses with coffee served with dessert) took 2.25 hours - too long I fear!

Excellent evening, staff very attentive and accommodating. Definitely recommend this and will certainly go again soon

The service from friendly and helpful staff was excellent. As soon as they noticed there was as a problem with my main course that took it away, apologised and replaced it. They really looks after me. The food was delicious as was the dessert. Thank you.

We came for dinner for my partner's birthday and received nothing but the best service here in Oxford. We were offered a complementary kir royale and the staff came and sang "happy birthday" to him when they brought over our dessert. We had a lovely evening and are incredibly grateful to the staff in the Oxford branch for being so friendly and attentive.

Rather shabby and has certainly gone way downhill since last visit. I had a minute steak. It probably took a minute to cook but took a good deal longer to eat: badly undercooked, tasteless, anaemic and tough as leather. A total disgrace. Previously I have always liked the food and ambience but this has gone the way of many chain restaurants. Uninspired and poorly cooked awful ingredients. The service was ok but not very friendly. didn't justify the 12.5% service charge. Won’t be going again!

The problem was that after ordering we had a long wait which was acquiesced by chips. The meal and itself were good as I am a big time user of Cote You need to resource more chefs as this seems to be the problem. My suggestion is give your waiting customers a drink other than chips Other than that it was uptown Your normal high standards

Yet another one of the best Cote Brasseries. We could not fault anything! Extremely pleasant staff brought our excellent food and drinks just at the right time leaving only a small space between courses despite the fact that we were tucked away in the smaller room which is really out of sight of the main room. Absolutely top marks! There is no doubt we shall return on our next visit to Oxford. Thank you Mary Goodman

Superb meal before the theatre, with amazing service. The food was delicious (moules starter, then Breton chicken). They brought us complimentary kir royales as they heard it was my husband's birthday from a conversation we were having as we arrived.

This dinner was one of the best we have had on our UK visit this year. The food was excellent, and our server was lovely.

Compared to our many previous visits, this visit was much worse in terms of service than the others. Service was slow and we had an inexperienced server. We were also seated in a room which seemed to be unattended by the waiters Martyn Dick

We found the service fast and efficient - just as we’d hoped because we let the staff know that we were going to see a theatre show. The food is consistently good. Though I found my starter - mushroom and brioche - bordering on cold. However, that was my only complaint.

Very professional staff managing tables on a busy night and politely turning away those who hadn't reserved. Our first visit to Cote and we found the food to be excellent and sensibly priced. We will return.

Good choice of well prepared and presented food and good wine at a reasonable price, relaxing atmosphere and good friendly service - a thoroughly enjoyable evening as always. This restaurant is consistently good - I've been coming for years - sometimes for a pre-theatre meal and sometimes for a more leisurely visit.

Took my parents here to celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary. The food was delicious and the waiters were friendly. I mentioned in my booking what we were celebrating and they brought us complimentary sparkling Rosé which was very nice of them!

Terrific service and lovely food in a restaurant packed full of people ready to dash to the theatre. My only criticism is that it's acoustically challenging and the tables are tightly packed.
