We normally visit Cote about every 4-6 weeks and up until this visit have not been disappointed, unfortunately one of our main courses was not up to the usual standard, a pork dish, it was lukewarm and lacked flavour. The other dish of hake was delicious.
The food was tasty, the wine rich and fruity and the service was good but the experience was marred by having to wait 40 minutes for the main course. When it arrived, my cassoulet had been overcooked after being left under a grill for what looked like 40 minutes!
always reliable and decent quality at a reasonable price with an airy, bright interior. Staff are generally helpful and friendly. its local to us and we a regular brunch and late lunch customers here.
I enjoyed excellent service, with very good food and wine. The waiter struck the right balance of attentive and not being too intrusive. Offered a choice of tables.
As usual, the food was delicious. Service was slow but perfectly pleasant. This is my favourite Côte as the acoustics are better than others and tables are well placed.
The food and wine were excellent, and the service was friendly and impeccable. I would highly recommend the Notting Hill Cote to anyone in the neighborhood.
Excellent visit. Food, as usual, to a high standard. Friendly service and I do think that complementary filtered water, as in all Cote establishments, is a nice touch.
Really back on form. Last two visits were simply disappointing... Yesterday was excellent. Food cooked and presented to perfection... Staff attentive and not too overzealous with the table visits. Keep it up.!
It was my mother's birthday that's why I wanted to book Cote. It was a lovely night and delicious food. Quite friendly service too. Thanks.
Staff lovely. The food was fantastic, all in a relaxed informal atmosphere. I visit Cote a lot and the usual standards are maintained. I would highly recommend.
Good food good service and a good atmosphere .what more could you want I would recommend for business lunch and a family meals. Good value
Great service - attentive but not overbearing. Delicious food with all our allergies and tastes catered for! I love the fact that there is a seasonal menu. Comfortable and welcoming ambience. We will definitely return.
The waiting staff were very good but there was little interaction at arrival and departure. The food was was superb. I had the sea bass which was great and it wasn't too expensive
THEY MUST HAVE HAD A PROBLEM IN THE KITCHEN. FOOD TOOK AGES TO ARRIVE...ALSO IN THE DINING ROOM...THE WATER TOOK LONG TO COME AND BE REFILLED. WHAT'S WRONG WITH THE PLACE????
A lovely meal in this branch of Côte, as always, with perfect service. I have to say that not all branches are created equal, and the Westbourne Grove branch is my favourite.
I chose from the early evening menu, which was excellent value and had a really tempting range. Food was well cooked and presented, atmosphere in restaurant was relaxed but cheery, and the staff were attentive and efficient.
Excellent service on arrival and throughout. Delicious free red wine! Steak Tartare right up to top standard and breast of duck beautifully presented and cooked with delicious gravy. And you can never go wrong to finish with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce ( barely enough chocolate sauce ! ) No butter arrived with the toast for the steak tartare but it was brought instantly when asked for. Overall 6 out of 6.

We have organised a champagne brunch to kick off my friend's hen party on a Saturday morning. A big thanks for the team and the lovely manager, Aga who was on duty and made the start of the important day rather perfect. Thanks guys! We are definitely returning to this particular brunch! Best service of all Cote Brasseries in London!
First class service. Food was good as always. Our waitress was lovely, friendly and attentive. Only gripe was the ladies toilets were dirty and some clients need to learn how to flush the loo!
Had dinner here whilst in London for Chelsea Flower Show. Friendly reception and a good choice of gluten free food which is important for us. Incidentally, we had breakfast at Cote in Fulham as well which was also great value.
Usually this is my to restaurant when I'm in Notting hill on this occasion they were very short staffed, however, although the wait was long the steak and frites were gorgeous 😁

The food was good, the service had several errors. For drinks, we ordered a large bottle of Badoit and a glass of Muscadet. The Waiter bought a glass of red wine and a bottle of Perrier, these were rejected. For the starter, my partner order the Mussels, a finger bowl was not provided. An additional spoon to help with the liquor and an additional napkin would have made the service good. We also ordered Bread with our starter and this did not arrive. I had the Soupe de Poisson which was very good. Our Main courses and desserts were very good. The waiter tried to clear our plates from the main course while we were still chewing our food, another few minutes to allows us to finish would have been good. When we asked for the bill, the Bread was listed on the bill so we asked for the Bread to be removed and this was done by the waiter.
given that the restaurant was not very busy we waited a long time before we even got our requested water. After the manager got involved service improved sharply and the food was as good as ever
Great service. Able to cater for dairy and gluten free guests. Good food and wine. Restaurant was clean and with a lovely atmosphere. Thank you very much.
Great experience as always !l would highly recommend this restaurant. Fantastic for any occasion. Attentive staff, great prices and brilliant atmosphere, what more can you ask for?
Asked for apple juice, orange came, also latte and tea came , eggs without holandaise sauce and came with, but after all food was good, as usual.
It was a good experience. The menu this month was not as good as last month but will see what the next meal holds possibly
service was slow and erratic. it took so long to receive 2 glasses of wine that they agreed to delete them from the bill. A couple next to us left because of the delay in being served. The restaurant was only half full, so maybe they were understaffed. the manageress was very helpful.
Our most disappointing visit since the first day of this restaurant's opening, many years' ago, followed by much grovellling from the regional manager and my declining (apparently) a voucher for a meal for two in lieu. This after definitely declining an offer to void the charge for our bottle of wine on the night and settling on refusing to accept our discretionary service charge. We will return, simply because it is so conveniently situated, but there will be no special considerations from us and we shall expect a return to standards of the past.
We always find Cote to be very reliable and you always know you are going to have a good meal. We only use Notting Hill and York but Notting Hill has a better ambiance with friendlier staff. They also do an excellent breakfast.
Excellent food, wine and service. We had a lovely lunch by an open window. Will definitely be back to repeat the experience. Many thanks for everything
Breton tomato salad was full of flavour however very chilled. Steak fries as always cooked to perfection fries were crispy and piping hot. Perfect meal with a glass of rose wine
great food and good service steaks cooked to perfection and good wine we will be back again soon thank you very much for a good meal
The food tasted really good and was served without delay and service was great too. The table was ready for us when we arrived so there was no delay in seating us.

Food is very good and menu and wine list is well priced and attractive. However the service was atrocious. Terribly understaffed, poor English language abilities, no-one seemed to care that much. Tables left un cleared up. To get service every time I had to signal or stand up. Waitress went for a 10min cigarette break in middle of lunchtime rush. If I was the manager/owner of this restaurant I would be furious. Food was quick though so kitchen staff must be good.
Brilliant as usual best value and quality for the price! Would recommend. Must try the anniversary and august menus fresh perdtfor summer reasonably priced food
great service and dinner. the food was very nice and the service was good. a bit slow when the restaurant got busy but that was OK.
Service was good and attentive. Food consistent. Like ice and lemon bright for house table water Sat outside and was server equitably with the teamsters inside Always good experience at cote.
Great food. Very enjoyable evening with another couple. Service was prompted and friendly. I would heartily recommend the restaurant for even slightly special occasions. Will definitely eat here again.
Food tasty as ever; inventive menu; pleasant and competent service; relaxed, friendly ambience; free wifi; great location. A reliable favourite - always popular with guests.
Service was fantastic by all staff, and the food was great!! I would most definitely recommend this to others for a lovely dining experience in a prime location.
The Manager on duty greeted us with warmth but, the waiting staff could have been a bit more smiley. On the whole, though, a lovely meal was had, even if the white wine was warm.
This chain of French Restaurants is always excellent. Food beautifully presented, good quality & great service. The Notting Hill branch is slightly less crowded than other branches so will definitely be returning
Much improved - food and service had slipped, but two vists in the past 10 days were much better experiences. Food and service were lovely.
Reliably good food and service - good value too. One trivial criticism is that they changed the white lunar lighting for something a bit more industrial, pity.
The food was excellent as usual for Cote. Service was fine too although I was given an old gluten free menu at first, so had to change my order. My wife's fish stew was excellent
You can always find something you would like to eat at this restaurant,be it a heavy meal or something simple. The desert menu changes with a season and it is always lovely.
Service was perfect! Our waiter who was called Fabrice gave us an outstanding service! One of the best I ever had in London! Looking forward to coming back!
Very attentive staff, lovely ambience and fab food. I've been to several Cotes in London and outside and this one rates vet highly and I would definitely visit again.
beind a regular diner at various Cote branches I was very dissapointed with the overall quality of my main dish (grilled chicken). A condiment dish placed in the middle of your jus means it settles around the dish and you have none to eat. The chicken was dry and hard around the edges I struggled to cut it. I don't know whether this is due to the design or cooking of the dish. That aside our waiter and the manger were great.
