Great choice on the menu for a lighter lunch. I enjoyed goats cheese as a starter and sea bream as a main. Excellent meal and service.
brilliant restaurant does what it says on the tin good simple French food excellent service and not expensive BUT it is very noisy at weekends so dont go if you like a peaceful dinner
Lovely meal and good service. Room was quite boomy so a bit loud at times but it was a very pleasant evening and we very much enjoyed the food.
Bit surprised to be offered bourbon or Irish Whisky when I asked for whisky. fortunately after a bit of toing and froing it was determined that you had J&B which is actually Scotch Whisky and all was OK. Food, ambiance and service as good as always in Cote Norwich so a happy comfortable time was had by all.
An off night, I think, because normally Cote is very good. On this occasion, main course plates were cold, so the food was luke warm. The normally-crispy belly pork was - well - flaccid. Main problem was the service. We allowed one and a half hours before having to leave for the theatre - and still didn't have time for any sweet course. To be fair, the manager was most apologetic and offered a free dessert for our next visit - if we ever go back...
Had a lovely lunch and the service was excellent as usual, the staff are helpful and efficient. It made our day out in Norwich very enjoyable.THANK YOU.
Booking, Food & service excellent. However I am extremely annoyed at being pestered by post experience surveys everytime we do something! If there is a problem I wouldn't hesitate to express my dissatisfaction. The fact that we have returned several times to Cote since it opened in Norwich must surely reflect our satisfaction
Nice evening. Just needed reminding about the olives we had ordered. Food perfectly cooked and arrived promptly. Very impressed with the size of the charcuterie board.
I tried the fish stew this evening. Delicious with plenty of variety of seafood. Never disappointed in our meals! Good quick service. Excellent as we were attending theatre. Thank you
A wonderful Birthday meal with special friends the food and service were excellent The venue was good we all had such a lovely time we are going back for another Friend’s Birthday in December
This is one of the friendliest and intimate Côte branches I’ve ever been to. Service was spot on with friendly and attentive staff. Food delicious and thanks again Côte for your extended vegetarian menu.
Delicious food, good service and very pleasant ambiance. All things considered, excellent value for money and my guests and I had a lovely evening thank you
Lovely restaurant, atmosphere, food and staff. Handy location for maddermarket and playhouse pre gig/theatre. Good value with set menu during week. On back of theatre royal and playhouse tickets get a free kir Royale at Cote.
The food was incredible!!! Get the duck im red cherry sauce it's amazing! Romantic setting - kind of dark and cosy. Service amazing, lovely staff. My boyfriend got the fish stew and loved it also. Was also open on a Sunday night when lots of places weren't which we very much appreciated too!
The food was great but it took a long time to come and an extra portion ordered never came. The service was slow and less than helpful than I am use to receiving in the establishment.
Food well presented and tasted excellent. Staff are friendly but not over bearing, a good atmosphere makes this an enjoyable place for any occasion. Look forward to the next time especially if you provide the wine again.
Absolutely fantastic night, the food was excellent, the service was outstanding. Cotes is a lovely place to eat and relax with friends. It was also my husband's birthday and he enjoyed the surprise of friends being there that he didn't know about and the staff helped to execute it in a great way. Thank you
As expected ... the food is OK but not overwhelming the service was on the whole OK (one member of staff excellent one not so) I guess you get what you pay for
Good food and attentive staff who without being asked kindly moved us away from a large party as soon as they could find a quieter table - will visit again
Good service, nice welcome and lovely food. Seabass was nicely coked but would have been nice to have some potatoes included. Very nice bottle of Macon Villages. Toilets could have been cleaner.
Cote is a well presented restaurant with good ambience and the well trained staff are always friendly, professional and helpful, the food is good, good portion size if you are weight conscious
I have been here before and that is why I introduced it to a friend who had not tried Cote. She is a vegetarian and was very pleased with the choice available to her. I always enjoy the food which is tasty and well priced. The service is pleasant and efficient. My only criticism would be that for many with a larger appetite I suspect the portions are a little small.
Vert friendly, helpful and enthusiastic people here, really one of the best Cote places and the nearest to us! Let's hope it stays as it is.
Staff always pleasant and attentive. Acommodated another person in the party at short notice. Food and wine delicious as always. Party had a teenager and a vegetarian and the menu covered all
We have been a few times now and food has always been great staff are friendly and accommodating nothing is to much trouble would recommend
Good value and a pleasant experience the whole ambiance made the meal enjoyable and I would recommend to any potential diners this as a venue
We are regular diners at Cote, Norwich and the food as usual, was excellent. However......for the first time in many months the service let the food quality down with a flop ! The first course was served incorrectly so one of us had to wait until the correct and requested first course arrived - thus spoiling the continuity of the meal. Then we had a half an hours wait for the main course to be served - having to get up from the table and request it. We have never experienced this before and hope we wont receive it again.
Party of four all chose different things. Steak Tartare was as ever good. Calamari also good and smoked salmon adequate. For main course the crepes are a good standard and very rich. The fish parmentierre was very runny under the potato ... more soup like. Now the pork belly was tiny ... a third of what we would deem a large portion. For a growing guy this dish was not adequate. The 'half' chicken was misdescribed. It was a leg with a small supreme. No wing or substantial thigh. Better des cribed as chicken not half a chicken. Desserts were all ok but after provideing a reward of a bottle of wine to virtually add the cost back on as a discretionary service charge was a bit rich. It made us think about the overall value of the a la carts menu in the future.
Excellent. Friendly staff, good atmosphere, clean lines, improved menu with more fish dishes, attentive service. We will book Cote, London end November as the location is close to Theater we will visit. Wider wine options to include Rioja and Navarra would be appreciated.
You are made to feel very welcome at this restaurant, nothing is too much trouble for them. As always the food is of excellent quality and very good value for money.
It's the staff, always pleased to welcome you. Food choices sufficient to suit all tastes. Prompt service but enough time in between courses to enjoy the evening
A nice menu, tasty food and a relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff Côte is a reliable chain, wherever we are - the restaurants still retain their individual identity.
Made welcome at the door. Service 1st class and meal was as good as ever please keep this up looking forward to our next visit
Excellent service and excellent food! Will definitely be back again soon. Happily recommend to friends and family and I don't think they will be disappointed at all.
Wonderful staff who were very friendly and attentive and the food was amazing, the beef bourguignon was full of flavour and hot , would highly recommend
It’s a pleasant place and a variety to choose from, but the price dose not reflect very small portions and some of the food being cold, which had to be returned which was just put in the microwave to heat it up. When you get the bill for 4 people and it’s £208 I feel it’s a bit pricey for a chain restaurant. Also there is a 12.5% service charge put on which is optional. So from the experience we shall not be going again.
Booking was quick and easy. Quick, friendly service and good choice food at a sensible price. Best place to eat before going to the theatre.
staff need more training on how to serve at a table properly and not lean over people. They should also be aware when people are in conversation and not interupt. Quality of food was good.
Food good but the waiting time for it was rediculus.Apoligised but no offer of drink while you wait,The waitress was friendly.Quite surprised soup and mussel dishes served without bread,
A very nice meal in pleasant surroundings with friendly and attentive staff. The complimentary Kir Royales for being a Friend of The Theatre Royal is a nice touch. A very minor gripe was that we felt that the lighting was a bit too dim
As always, the food was great and the staff very pleasant and efficient. We like the large range of food on the menu and always find something nice to eat.
Food was very good but with a party of 20 close by made the overall experience poor could not talk to my wife on our anniversary
Good food and nice setting in central Norwich but spoiled by unfriendly waitress. Maybe cultural differences but was not expecting Gallic shrug and response "no" when I asked if I could have elderflower. Shame
First impressions count for the experience, the restaurant layout and staff were excellent; the service faultless and very friendly in a relaxed way. Food and drink lovely.
Good food and service, food was fresh and served on warm plates. Service was attentive without being intrusive. Disliked automatic service charge on the bill.
Good choice for a pre theatre meal. Food good, service excellent. Three of us had the two course specials, very reasonably priced. Risotto vert perfect!
On our second visit to Cote in 4 weeks, we had a lovely meal, served in good time, but not rushed and enjoyed a livley conversation with fellow diners which was a bonus. The selection on the early evening 3 course special menu was excellent. The switching off of the air conditioning so the cold air wasn't directed down my back was much appreciated!
As always a great meal, excellent service and nice surroundings. Great choice on the menu, some lovely wines and the staff are friendly, attentive but not overbearing
We booked a table for a double Birthday Celebration, we were not disappointed. The food was wonderful and the staff brilliant. We will be back.
The salad of little gem, lardons and walnuts was generous if a little salty. The seared chicken breast with sauted potatoes was delicious. The service as always was excellent.
