Lovely lunch, restaurant was busy but service was fast and attentive and lovely food

Had some issues with my son's meal. The linguine was seasoned too heavily with black pepper. I tasted it to check and it was very strong and I enjoy pepper seasoning. Staff were great and asked for a new meal. However we were then informed we couldn't have the linguine as nothing in it is seasoned. We chose the haddock goujons as alternative. However I disagree no seasoning was used in that linguine dish, cracked black pepper was visible over the pasta. The goujons came out quickly, too quick, I checked the larger of the two goujons and it was raw in the middle. I appreciate the team wanted to get a meal out quickly but not to the detriment of my son's health and food regulations. I would like a review on the hot food temperature probes for those goujons. I suspect it did not take place. The meal was taken off the bill and staff were apologetic. However the chef's team need to understand what went wrong this evening.

Really good value for money, a nice upmarket ambiance and lovely service! Would go back happily!

Visited for a pre theatre meal and we very served very rapidly giving is enough time to end our meal and leave on time.

My family & I had a lovely meal at Cote this evening. The staff made us very welcome & really looked after us.It was made special as they decorated the table & brought out a Birthday cake for my daughters 20th. I can not thank then enough, an enjoyable evening had by all.

Service was good, and the food came out quickly, due to ordering off the set menu. The only negative was the time waiting for our bill, and then the time waiting to pay. The waitress was very enthusiastic (a bit too enthusiastic), asking whether we'd like dessert or coffee, whilst we held out our card waiting to pay - which we felt was not particularly appropriate. Aside from that, we will return as we did enjoy the food.

I choose Cote Brasserie for their amazing gluten free menu - not used to having such choice! The spinach and mushroom crepes were delicious! Our visit was all the more special due to the complimentary Sidecar cocktail and the really pleasant and courteous staff. Not the cheapest but I reckon it’s good value and will definitely return.

Waitress was obsessed with pouring everyone's wine instead of taking orders and waiting on tables. An hour to wait for chicken and chips was poor. Have come here for our anniversary for some years. Won't be coming next year

Lovely meal and service. Really disappointed that we were charged a 12.5% optional service charge without being given the option. We only noticed because I retained the bill and checked to see why it was a little more expensive than we had estimated. So you end up tipping twice. Very underhand!

Portions seem to be getting smaller on the fixed price menu although good still tasty. Waiter forgot to bring our wine and brought us the wrong bill. Tempted to pay it as it was much less than ours, but honesty prevailed .

The atmosphere is lovely, great service. Thought the fact we could try the wine before we decided was a good sign of a good restaurant! The food was served in good time, hot and well presented. The waitress was attentive and gave good service. We don’t eat out very often, but have eaten, breakfast, lunch and dinner here, and have always left happy. We have no problem in recommending your restaurant to others and will certainly be back again. Thank you.
