We booked our meal on line, which included a complimentary Blood orange cocktail, when asked what we would like to drink I told the waitress we had a complimentary cocktail, she went off, then came back asking for the email, which I couldn't find, I explained I booked on line which should show on their computer system anyway, she went off then the manager came saying she needed the email showing the complimentary cocktail offer, which I still couldn't find, explained to her how I booked on line ect, but said she couldn't give us the cocktail. After a short conversation and seeing how agree I was she offended us a kid royal. It spoilt the whole evening which was our belated valentine's day treat out to my wife who I proposed to the Valentine's share meal with you the last year. We were surrounded by other couples and was made to feel very embarrassed and stupid. We come to Cotes at least once a month to enjoy your food and love the complimentary cocktails. What makes it worse is most of the staff and both managers know us well as we are such regular customers in the Norwich Cotes restaurant. The food as ever was lovely but I can only give a 1 star , because of the embarrassment caused which totally ruined the evening.

My four friends and I meet once a month for lunch in Cotes Norwich. As always we receive excellent service from our arrival to the time we leave. Great menu which constantly changes offering us lots of variety but with our favorites always there. We love it. The staff are so helpful and friendly and we find their knowledge so useful when selecting new dishes. We will continue to visit and never consider using other venues , Cotes are simply the BEST.

Delicious and affordable set menu in a relaxed and comfortable setting

Excellent meal enjoyed by my wife and I, and our young (8&3) children. Prestige set menu was surprisingly good food and portion size. Service swift and helpful, which is always appreciated when you have little hungry people with you.

My wife and I had the Valentines wine pairing menu. We thought it was a great idea to pair a suitable wine with each course. The quality of the food and wine was excellent and with the attentive service we had a thoroughly enjoyable evening .

The food was delicious and the service was great, friendly and experienced.

Warm welcome, efficient staff without being over-officous and they work hard to make each visit special. Good choice, really tasty food and value for money. A pity we live so far away (166 miles!) otherwise there wouldn't have been a four-year gap between visits. A lovely Valentine's Day treat

Most of the staff are pleasant just one was pushy and unlike the others. We also don’t know the name of the person who served us most, which is a shame for him as we can’t now say how great he is. Very tasty food and lovely pairing wines. Thank you.

Out first visit to Cote will be a memorable one. From the greetings as we entered ,to the delicious onion soup ,to the beautiful attentive non-pressuring staff, to the ambience and the feeling that you were actually in France . A most enjoyable lunch. Good food, pleasant people and a good atmosphere. We have never eaten at a branch of Cote and been disappointed, which is why we keep coming. It is especially nice that you provide gluten-free food as my wife is a coeliac and we have eaten elsewhere and not been satisfied. Keep up the good work.

Enjoyed a lovely meal with delicious wine too, we were given a complimentary Kir Royale as we were going to the theatre. We use this restaurant often when we're in Norwich.

Food was wonderful and really enjoyed it, our waitress made us feel rushed of and we did not have very much time to decide on our food. Had to call other waiter later to order our wine. We are regulars here and most of the staff is wonderful and nothing is an issue for them, this time we felt that the waitress that was looking after us needed more help as she was looking at other tables while taking out order, and that did not make fell as great as usually...

Would have liked to give 5* but the table we reserved was not available so we had a table by the window. Our biggest issue was the so called ‘free’ cocktail for February. Had lunch with you on Monday and my friend was unable to access her email booking - the problem was quickly solved and we received two free cocktails !! Last night I asked if we may have the same deal but asked for one ‘free’ cocktail for my husband. We had an excellent meal but it was disappointing to be charged £5.95 for this on the bill. We will be back with you soon but were rather surprised to be charged .... a little good will would have gone a long way !!
