French classics revisited. Cosy and welcoming. Early evening deal particularly good value.

Noisier than usual! Had to comment on sauce (which I have had before) with whitebait but was pleased to have the course deducted from bill. Service almost too quick - my companion ate faster than me!

Lovely evening again, the staff and food as good as always. Great venue x

Fantastic food and brilliant service, as always. It was quite noisy when we were there this time but the restaurant was full so I'm not sure what you could do about it!!

You won't see me in Cote again. The poor waiters don't know if they are coming or going. They charged us for 3 drinks we didn't order, then had the nerve to add a service charge! The food is nice though.

Lovely food with great staff. The welcome was friendly and as we were going to the theatre, the complimentary kir royale was lovely.

Food and service was very enjoyable, a pleasant atmosphere in whih to eat. Will definatly visit again.

Staff were very professional and incredibly attentive. Asked for a window seat and got one. Food was fabulous and the Malbec even better. Throughly enjoyable evening. We will return. Andy and Julie.

Great service and food of a consistently high standard - a little slice of Paris in Newcastle.

Service average, we had to sit upstairs which had no atmosphere but it did have a perfect view of staff frantically running up and down stairs to the kitchen. Very disappointed that the age old trick of including the “complimentary “ drinks on the bill. We shouldn’t have to scrutinise the bill for “mistakes” Disappointing as it was a birthday lunch for a friend.

Ambience food and service superb making it a special night to remember. The only negatives concerned your charging policy in that prices quoted were ex vat and 12.5% service charge though optional is too high a figure to set . We tipped a more realistic amount but felt we had to explain this to staff leaving a slightly sour note on what was a lovely experience

We try to visit Cote in Newcastle weekly. The staff are very friendly and efficient. The food is superb and the menu is varied.

Very attentive staff. Good choice of menu. Food was very good and reasonable priced. The onion soup was delicious . I had the lamb and winter veg which was lovely however I would have preferred it to be a touch hotter. Others had the belly pork which they said was very good and special mention to the side dish of potatoes which was delicious Didn’t have sweet. Both the red and white wines we had were very drinkable.

An excellent lunch, the food was wonderful and the service was up to your very high standards. Still the best food in Newcastle. 👍

The food was as good as always and while our waiter was helpful and solicitous the poor lad was run off his feet by there being insufficient staff for Friday evening and thus there were long delays. A pity asa this detracted from an otherwise enjoyable evening.

Really thoughtful service. Our waitress was aware the starter was taking longer than expected. She apologised and kept us informed. The food and table was lovely. The bill with the reduction was a surprise. Top drawer service and experience

I brought my parents for lunch to Cote Newcastle and not only was the food amazing, the service was 5 star. The young waiter (whose name I didn't catch sadly) was so attentive and friendly. If you can work out who it is, please say thank you from me. He was excellent and I appreciate it. He was Northern Irish with glasses. Apologise to him that I don't recall his name!

The best breakfast place in town with wonderful hospitality. Well done to all.

Service was good, some food was nice (calamari starter, fries, spinach). Steak was chewy and disappointing.
