Let’s start with the positives! The food is very good here. My children had fillet steak and fries which they both enjoyed. Excellent French fries. My starter of gravadlax salmon was delicious as was the mushroom ravioli main. The only thing that let down our experience today was the haphazard service with the exception of one waiter. No plates served with the bread basket. We had to eat it off the table. When I asked the manager why we hadn’t got plates with the bread he said we should have asked for them! Surely that’s their job? We ordered more bread and that also arrived without plates. Surely the manager should have known to bring plates after we had asked for them the first time. When the waiter eventually brought some plates (after we requested them) he only brought two when there were three of us eating. Even though he realised there were three of us he didn’t rush off to bring us a third plate. So I had to ask again. But he forgot so my daughter had to eat her bread off the table. Not the best experience for our first time at Cote and there was a distinct lack of atmosphere which made it feel like it was closing down soon.

What a lovely experience. The food was excellent, staff attentive and the restaurant itself vibrant yet not too loud. The perfect venue for our annual Christmas get together with friends. Would highly recommend and will be going again.

Absolutely fabulous. The food, the staff and atmosphere was all out of this world. The vegetarian food was excellent, nowhere in Newcastle can compare to Cote for choice and the food is always delicious. We will be back soon. Thanks you for a wonderful lunch. Margaret

Great service, great food. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience even though we dined late afternoon so quite quiet still good atmosphere as the restaurant filled for the evening.

Attention to detail is so obvious at Cote. Staff always show personal recognition whenever we visit and never fail to produce the best of service and food.

It was Christmas Eve so you were very busy when we arrived and the initial service was a little slow but overall the food was excellent and well served.

Restaurant was a little cold besides that staff friendly & attentive, food consistent of Cote’s high standard 😀 Merry Christmas!

We love dining at Cote, we know we'll always get quality food and great service. There's plenty of choice from very reasonably priced menus and the monthly specials are always good too.

An truly excellent evening meal to celebrate a birthday. The atmosphere was welcoming with calm efficiency and the food ( we chose the Christmas menu) was tasty and a bit different to usual Christmas menus. We’ve been here several times for lunch but this was our first evening visit - it won’t be the last. Thank you for a lovely evening

The service was poor, the food was inconsistent with the quality which we would usually get when visiting a Cote restaurant. Unfortunately this was not the usual high standard we are accustom to when visiting Cote

We were delayed for unavoidable reasons, in arriving. My husband phoned in advance to warn Cote that we would be late. The staff were not phased at all and we had a beautiful meal in relative peace, given the time of the year.

Outstanding food matched only by the professionalism and skill of the staff. A wonderful meal and a great way to begin our festival holidays.

Ordered Cremant but there was none. Asked if I I wanted large gins, said yes but only got singles & charged for large. Asked for bread for soup but didn’t arrive. Go every month to this restaurant but this was not the usual standard.

Overall excellent meal. We were a group of 5 with varying tastes but the menu was great for all of us. Portion size just right. Only criticism would be the jint tea which was rather weak.

We had a lovely small team Christmas Lunch here, the food, service and atmosphere was great. We just had a fab time with a festive twist.
