Very good ! Thoroughly enjoyed it . Excellent service !

Excellent supper tonight from the Prestige menu (goats cheese crottin starter followed by Beef Stroganoff with pasta). Great service. Very reasonably priced for two courses of delicious food. Sat for hours catching up with friends and the staff were very patient and pleasant with us, especially considering we were the last to leave!

Always an enjoyable experience. Love every four dishes out of five. Staff are casual but very professional at the same time.

As usual everything was perfect. It was a Sunday evening so a bit quieter than my normal visits but still busy enough to create a nice atmosphere. Great food, service etc. Visit was made even better by our free bottle of wine for January as I booked on line

Had a wonderful anniversary meal with my parents and sister. This was my fifth time at the restaurant I can only see say I’ve never had one bad course in all that time. I find a value excellent the range really good the wind is very reasonably priced Rover all the ambience of the restaurant on the really superb service literally can’t fault. Last night we arrived and we had a table in the centre of the restaurant but we really wanted a booth. before Our starters arrived the manager had cleared a previously booked booth and we were recited in there without any fuss whatsoever. I would really recommend this place to anyone wanting a good meal, great service in a lovely place in central Newcastle. Superb

We both had the Baked Crottin which was just beautiful and the cheese is just how I like it with texture and full of flavour. The salad was light and the dressing so delicious! I had salmon and my guest the Breton Chicken - both of us were in heaven and it all just melted in the mouth. The accompanying radicchio and golden beetroot was well chosen for the salmon as it contrasted the rich flavour of the fish. Even though we said we wouldn’t have a dessert, we succumbed and a crême caramel and chocolate mousse arrived - stuffed as we were, we had to make room! The mousse was light in texture but a full whack chocolate taste. The crême caramel was sooo creamy.., All washed down with a bottle of Chardonnay which complemented perfectly. Faultless...

Food was as usual excellent. Menus a little different and a good choice Unsure about the tip going on automatically. The last 3 times I have been in for lunch the same guy who served me was very off hand. In one instance I would say that he was rude. I wonder if the fact he gets tips anyway means he thinks he does not have to be polite. He was efficient.

We eat here about once a month and the staff now recognise us. They are very friendly and professional. I had the January special lamb dish and it was amazing, I've never seen lamb chops so big with so much meat. We took up the free bottle of wine offer so our overall bill was excellent value.

Excellent value for money from the Prestige menu, early evening, before going to the theatre. Prompt and attentive service without being intrusive.

The service was not up to usual standard this evening

We were put in what I’d describe as the cloakroom/disabled toilet/fire exit door area of this establishment. Having been twice before, I didn’t even know this area existed and to be honest it’s not great..not much ambience in there. I had booked in advance!. My dining partner was cold due to the door opening and a rush a cold air filling this area. Service and food good was good, the main restaurant was busy, in future I’d opt not to be placed in this ‘ante’ room.

Olives that we ordered were wrong ( had to send them back ) waited ages for correct ones to arrive . Once they did , mains arrived seconds later so had to send mains back as we weren’t ready Mains were nice . Bill came and we had been overcharged by £20.50 for the complimentary wine( bill had to be amended )

Good food but we had the misfortune of experiencing service staff who were keen to pack up and go out/home. I won`t labour the point as I have already left a review on another site, but being asked to order coffee before dessert was served, then being given the bill prior to either requesting it or finishing eating. Finally being presented with the card reader whilst finishing my coffee. Our experience was more fast food than pleasant dining experience. We dined at 7.30pm and left disappointed at 8:45pm. Well done, I hope you enjoyed whatever you were rushing off for.

We eat at a wide range of Côte locations - always impressed by quality of food and service. Please keep it up !!

Whilst the main courses of lamb chops and seafood pie were excellent the charcuterie platter we shared was disappointing.We had this on previous occasions but this time the toast was hard and other ingredients lacking particularly as it is advertised as a sharer.The Chardonnay we had was very palatable.😄.

It’s a shame offers not on over weekend, but loved the food - delicious!

Overall amazing as always will be calling again soon with my husband.

First class as usual, our favourite restaurant in the city

Food was very good as usual - and great value off the early-evening fixed-price menu - but service was a little brusque on this occasion; the waiter was not very chatty or warm. Adding the 12.5% "optional" service charge automatically is something I disagree with - it is very hard for the customer to tell the waiter that they wish to remove or reduce it!

Excellent food, marvellous bottle of merlot brilliant staff and service.

We are fairly frequent diners at Cote. Unusually yesterday one of our meals was unsatisfactory: the chicken breton was dry and overcooked or had possibly been on a warming plate for a while. However, when we brought this to the attention of the waiter, the matter was dealt with satisfactorily. Service yesterday was not its usual speedy standard, even though at the time of visit there did not seem to be a great pressure of numbers. Not your best perfromance by far, but it will not put us off using Cote in future.

Booked table for 4,food was lovely and the service was superb. This restaurant and its staff never disappoints. Can't wait to return.

We had a fabulous breakfast, great service and a wonderful start to the new year. We'll certainly be visiting the brasserie again and will certainly recommending it to our friends and family.
