We had a lovely evening at Cote Brasserie in Newcastle to celebrate my youngest daughter's new job. Service & food were all wonderful and we would definitely recommend for all occasions.

As we had a disabled person in our group we couldn't access the main restaurant so were on our own in what appeared to be a back room.

Another lovely lunch, we excellent service from friendly staff. Thank you.

I have been to Cote Newcastle many times. Today I went with 3 friends who had never been before. We all thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. Service, food and wine was excellent, on a very busy Tuesday lunchtime.

Luke warm main course. Heavy dust on lamps over tables (small black wall lamps). Had to ask for music to be turned down as could hear each other speak.

Have being going to this restaurant since it opened. However this time we were placed out of the main restaurant in a back room opposite a toilet. We had booked. The place was freezing and the outside side door that’s not often used was this time with customers coming and going. We asked to be moved, but the manageress said she had nothing available. This room had no atmosphere with only one other table used. The manageress did come back 20 mins later but she said the table was right near the main door. She was very unhelpful and had a attitude. Something I have never seen from the main manager. Must say though the young gentleman waiter was lovely and friendly. Disappointing night.

Food was great again, but the service was lacking. We waited 20 minutes to pay our bill whilst 3 members of staff were just chatting away behind the bar. Not very good.

Was nice. Sea bass could of had more sauce, I found I ran out quite quickly and it was just in the verge of being overdone. Just need more attention to detail.

Disappointing. Lovely food as usual. Not very pleased to be shown to the empty upstairs section after booking well in advance. Mark, the manager,obligingly sorted it out and seated us downstairs. Our waiter was very rude and abrupt. I thought that my 17 year old would be allowed the complimentary cocktail I was expecting as we were eating, but he abruptly demanded i.d. and then said she could not have it. After that, he continued to be very curt with us. Later he rushed through our bill. I asked him to remove the tip as his service had been terrible. After we left, I realised he had charged me for the complimentary cocktail as well!!

Great welcome. Yummy food. Breton fish casserole / Mushroom ravioli. Generous portions. Enjoyed the cocktail and wine. Pleasant helpful staff.

Pleasant welcome, sloppy sassy service from a disinterested waiter, food good and great quality for price paid. Wine list interesting and lots of choice. Would return, though in fear of front of house staff in Adidas trainers. Felt a bit odd as I was wearing a bow tie as we dined before theatre, my friend too.

Booked a table online, we're seated as soon as we arrived. Menus given and drinks order taken quickly. We ordered from the early evening menu, starters arrived quickly, and mains followed in good time. Unfortunately after that the service went down hill. There suddenly seemed to be a distinct shortage of waiters, the guy, who I assumed was in charge, was clearing tables, seeing to customers arriving, and taking new orders, he worked hard. We had wanted to order desserts, but as this was a pre theatre meal we were left with not enough time and had to ask for the bill, again it was the manager who dealt with us, I told him we were left with insufficient time for desserts and coffee. He did apologise, and took the drinks charge off the bill. We've been to Cote many times and always enjoyed it, with good service and excellent value, pity this visit was not one of our best, but will return.
