Disappointed that the table was not ready for our arrival and we had to wait while other customers who had not booked were seated before my party.

Excellent food, great prices and probably the best service I've received in a restaurant in Newcastle. Will be visiting again very soon. Highly recommended A*

Lovely relaxed atmosphere, attentive and friendly service and very tasty food. Varied food and wine menus to suit lots of tastes. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will be back again.

Our seating was a bit awkward next to a coat stand, the creamed spinach was strangely acidic, but otherwise the food was great and service attentive. I would go back!

Fantastic waiter, service and amazing food! We booked for my birthday and were not dissapointed, such a brilliant time. Would highly recommend to anyone - can recommend the crab mayonnaise and lamb shank!

Nice old school styled brasserie with a chilled atmosphere, called in for breakfast received very good service and the food was of a good standard

An odd comment to make, perhaps, but the toilets were spotlessly clean, which I think tells you a lot about a place...

We very much enjoyed the meal which we had after seeing a film.I had the spinach and mushroom pancakes and my husband had some lamb and vegetables.I've been to Cote a number of times and have always found the food good and the service most professional. It is a reliably pleasant experience to eat at Cote.

Cosy atmosphere, delicious food at a great price. A Thursday evening was fairly busy but the staff still attentive. Would thoroughly recommend, thanks Cote Brasserie!

Staff efficient and very friendly. Restaurant warm and welcoming. Food was hot and well presented, portions were just right size for us. Wine that was recommended was excellent. Will definitely be returning very soon.

lovely food as always in any cote restaurant, very proffessional staff, unassuming decor which we all really liked. The roast duck was fabulous as was the creme brulee.

Very nice food, great service. However not sure it beats French quarter.. and no escargots!!!! What’s that about? Real nice decor gives the place a nice feel.

Good for a quick mid-week working lunch. Chose from the special menu, good value, but only water to drink as we were working. Prompt and attentive service. I have eaten here several times before and been pleased with the food. However, today, I was not impressed by my salad. If the avocado is not ripe, don’t add it to the dish! Disappointing hard lumps of avocado were inedible.and spoilt the meal.

Third visit since opening, food and service was very good, just like previous visits. Professional and friendly staff. Already looking forward to our next visit.

Great setting, good food and very helpful service. Our waiter made good recommendations and was attentive throughout the meal. The setting is very warm and relaxed. Vegetarian mains are limited.

Food, atmosphere and waitresses lovely. I didn’t realised that a 10% surcharge is already added and went to leave an additional tip, the waitress said it was already on and said the girl on the till would put it through and give me my change, however she didn’t and walked off to do another job so I had to ask for it. It wasn’t the amount I was bothered about as it was good value for the specials, it was the principal, she obviously knew i’d paid the 10% and was going to keep the £8 change on top. So just remember surcharge is on? Lovely place though

Excellentfood and service. Can't recommend it enough.although a little taken by surprise at having service charge already added to the bill when there was only two of us. Nearly missed it and tipped twice.

Excellent food plus great service. The standard lunch menu has a reasonable choice but perhaps slightly expensive for dishes although quality and decor good as is location

The service as usual was good but rather slow this time.The food was very good apart from my fish pie which had far too many bones still attached to the fish which I mentioned to our waitress. But overall a very enjoyable lunch experience

A visit for work & it was a relatively quiet night. That said, the waitress was brilliant & the steak I ordered was cooked perfect.

Service was friendly and efficient. One of our party had to settle for second choice of main on the set menu so he wasn’t very happy. We had to settle for a different vintage for our choice of wine also - they seem to be a bit blasé about this. Maybe they shouldn’t quote vintages if they are not able to offer you what’s on the list.

Lovely new bistro/restaurant in Newcastle excellent value for money, staff extremely pleasant. Been twice and will definitely be back. Early evening and lunch menu extremely good value.

Excellent city centre restaurant offering high quality food at reasonable prices. Lunch & early evening special menu available from 12 noon to 19:00, great for lunch or pre-theatre meal. Friendly and efficient service from polite &professional staff. 12% service charge is added to bill, but is optional. Well worth a visit as specials menu changes each month.

Wasn’t sure what to expect but we thought the food was excellent and the service was first class from all the staff. Overall a great experience and we will recommend it and use it again our selves.

Excellent afternoon with friendly helpful and informative staff ensuring we were looked after from the moment we entered the Restaurant. Food was excellent we had a lamb dish cooked perfectly and a chicken dish very tasty. The wine which was recommended was delicious . Dessert to die for we were in chocolate heaven .

Love this reastarant, staff are fab, foods lush. Will recommend it to everyone... Looking forward to returning... Booking it for my friends birthday next month xx

My favourite breckers place and staff are so friendly. They were also very accommadating with our Guide Dog puppy in training. Food is excellent and always brilliantly presented.

Food and restaurant experience good but very slow service today. Shortage of actual serving staff - requests for additional items were forgotten. We queried whether 12.5 gratuity was worth it but paid anyway. Would return but hope service improves.

Parmentier too much garlic for personal taste. Tarte aux pomme pastry like leather. They did deduct this from the bill. few customers in gave the experience a bit of a depressing atmosphere upstairs. Waiters very pleasant and the food was well presented and served relatively quickly.

Really nice atmosphere. Staff were really friendly and helpful. They would recommend the nice side dishes with our food. The food was delicious and desserts were gorgeous! Also the coffees served afterwards were 5*! Thank you!

Food and sevice both excellent. Only niggle was that no bread provided with starter ( or before) and lots of lovely sauce that therefore went to waste.
